Is this real worship?

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. And King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to gather together the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up;and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Then a herald cried aloud: “To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.” So at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, harp, and lyre, in symphony with all kinds of music, all the people, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the gold image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. — Daniel 3:1-7 –

As much as I love Handel’s Hallelujah chorus, I do have to ask, is the following real worship?

If it is, then everybody singing is born again and going to heaven?

If not, then what?

A sheeple thingy going on?

Does Satan love it or hate it? Remember, his ministers come as an angel of light, bringing deceptions that even the elect will fall for if possible.

Does God hear it as actual praise and worship?

Before anyone accuses me of being critical, I’m just trying to discern here. Just some questions I have.

Wife of sodomite preacher says we are made of “good $hit.”

The following video may be a little bit too graphic with some descriptions. However, it is what is happening within this church in Georgia where the preacher has come out and said he has been homo for all the years he has been in ministry. His wife has known this from the beginning. She is taking the opportunity to CHANGE the Word of God to suit their wicked beliefs and lifestyle. She calls homosexuality a beautiful thing that GOD created. Those of you who know the word of God will not be convinced by her words.

This is cultic to the core, this ministry being built on man alone. If you are involved in such a place, run. Run for your very souls. For the Word of God teaches that the mere approval of homosexuality, is enough to cast you into hell. No other sin is mentioned as such. Why is this? God has His reasons. Perhaps it is because homosexuality is such a blatant mockery of the way God meant for things to be.

Perversion breeds perversion. This woman has become perversed along with her husband. The next thing will be a whole church cursed with perversion for not loving the truth.

Man gets fined $10,000 fine for not letting TSA perverts grope him!

I found the following here: It is a long read but it is worth the read if you want to know what to expect from the new TSA brownshirts who have the right to invade your rights and body! He has been fined 10,000 for wanting to leave and not put up with their power hungry abuse. RESIST! RESIST THE POWERS THAT BE AND THOSE THAT ARE COMING AT US!

http://johnnyedge.blogspot.com/2010/11/these-events-took-place-roughly-between.html

[These events took place roughly between 5:30 and 6:30 AM, November 13th in Terminal 2 of the San Diego International Airport. I'm writing this approximately 2 1/2 hours after the events transpired, and they are correct to the best of my recollection. I will admit to being particularly fuzzy on the exact order of events when dealing with the agents after getting my ticket refunded; however, all of the events described did occur.

I had my phone recording audio and video of much of these events. It can be viewed below.

Please spread this story as far and wide as possible. I will make no claims to copyright or otherwise.]

This morning, I tried to fly out of San Diego International Airport but was refused by the TSA. I had been somewhat prepared for this eventuality. I have been reading about the millimeter wave and backscatter x-ray machines and the possible harm to health as well as the vivid pictures they create of people’s naked bodies. Not wanting to go through them, I had done my research on the TSA’s website prior to traveling to see if SAN had them. From all indications, they did not. When I arrived at the security line, I found that the TSA’s website was out of date. SAN does in fact utilize backscatter x-ray machines.

I made my way through the line toward the first line of “defense”: the TSA ID checker. This agent looked over my boarding pass, looked over my ID, looked at me and then back at my ID. After that, he waved me through. SAN is still operating metal detectors, so I walked over to one of the lines for them. After removing my shoes and making my way toward the metal detector, the person in front of me in line was pulled out to go through the backscatter machine. After asking what it was and being told, he opted out. This left the machine free, and before I could go through the metal detector, I was pulled out of line to go through the backscatter machine. When asked, I half-chuckled and said, “I don’t think so.” At this point, I was informed that I would be subject to a pat down, and I waited for another agent.

A male agent (it was a female who had directed me to the backscatter machine in the first place), came and waited for me to get my bags and then directed me over to the far corner of the area for screening. After setting my things on a table, he turned to me and began to explain that he was going to do a “standard” pat down. (I thought to myself, “great, not one of those gropings like I’ve been reading about”.) After he described, the pat down, I realized that he intended to touch my groin. After he finished his description but before he started the pat down, I looked him straight in the eye and said, “if you touch my junk, I’ll have you arrested.” He, a bit taken aback, informed me that he would have to involve his supervisor because of my comment.

We both stood there for no more than probably two minutes before a female TSA agent (apparently, the supervisor) arrived. She described to me that because I had opted out of the backscatter screening, I would now be patted down, and that involved running hands up the inside of my legs until they felt my groin. I stated that I would not allow myself to be subject to a molestation as a condition of getting on my flight. The supervisor informed me that it was a standard administrative security check and that they were authorized to do it. I repeated that I felt what they were doing was a sexual assault, and that if they were anyone but the government, the act would be illegal. I believe that I was then informed that if I did not submit to the inspection, I would not be getting on my flight. I again stated that I thought the search was illegal. I told her that I would be willing to submit to a walk through the metal detector as over 80% of the rest of the people were doing, but I would not be groped. The supervisor, then offered to go get her supervisor.

I took a seat in a tiny metal chair next to the table with my belongings and waited. While waiting, I asked the original agent (who was supposed to do the pat down) if he had many people opt out to which he replied, none (or almost none, I don’t remember exactly). He said that I gave up a lot of rights when I bought my ticket. I replied that the government took them away after September 11th. There was silence until the next supervisor arrived. A few minutes later, the female agent/supervisor arrived with a man in a suit (not a uniform). He gave me a business card identifying him as David Silva, Transportation Security Manager, San Diego International Airport. At this point, more TSA agents as well as what I assume was a local police officer arrived on the scene and surrounded the area where I was being detained. The female supervisor explained the situation to Mr. Silva. After some quick back and forth (that I didn’t understand/hear), I could overhear Mr. Silva say something to the effect of, “then escort him from the airport.” I again offered to submit to the metal detector, and my father-in-law, who was near by also tried to plead for some reasonableness on the TSA’s part.

The female supervisor took my ID at this point and began taking some kind of report with which I cooperated. Once she had finished, I asked if I could put my shoes back on. I was allowed to put my shoes back on and gather my belongs. I asked, “are we done here” (it was clear at this point that I was going to be escorted out), and the local police officer said, “follow me”. I followed him around the side of the screening area and back out to the ticketing area. I said apologized to him for the hassle, to which he replied that it was not a problem.

I made my way over to the American Airlines counter, explained the situation, and asked if my ticket could be refunded. The woman behind the counter furiously typed away for about 30 seconds before letting me know that she would need a supervisor. She went to the other end of the counter. When she returned, she informed me that the ticket was non-refundable, but that she was still trying to find a supervisor. After a few more minutes, she was able to refund my ticket. I told her that I had previously had a bad experience with American Airlines and had sworn never to fly with them again (I rationalized this trip since my father-in-law had paid for the ticket), but that after her helpfulness, I would once again be willing to use their carrier again.

At this point, I thought it was all over. I began to make my way to the stairs to exit the airport, when I was approached by another man in slacks and a sport coat. He was accompanied by the officer that had escorted me to the ticketing area and Mr. Silva. He informed me that I could not leave the airport. He said that once I start the screening in the secure area, I could not leave until it was completed. Having left the area, he stated, I would be subject to a civil suit and a $10,000 fine. I asked him if he was also going to fine the 6 TSA agents and the local police officer who escorted me from the secure area. After all, I did exactly what I was told. He said that they didn’t know the rules, and that he would deal with them later. They would not be subject to civil penalties. I then pointed to Mr. Silva and asked if he would be subject to any penalties. He is the agents’ supervisor, and he directed them to escort me out. The man informed me that Mr. Silva was new and he would not be subject to penalties, either. He again asserted the necessity that I return to the screening area. When I asked why, he explained that I may have an incendiary device and whether or not that was true needed to be determined. I told him that I would submit to a walk through the metal detector, but that was it; I would not be groped. He told me that their procedures are on their website, and therefore, I was fully informed before I entered the airport; I had implicitly agreed to whatever screening they deemed appropriate. I told him that San Diego was not listed on the TSA’s website as an airport using Advanced Imaging Technology, and I believed that I would only be subject to the metal detector. He replied that he was not a webmaster, and I asked then why he was referring me to the TSA’s website if he didn’t know anything about it. I again refused to re-enter the screening area.

The man asked me to stay put while he walked off to confer with the officer and Mr. Silva. They went about 20 feet away and began talking amongst themselves while I waited. I couldn’t over hear anything, but I got the impression that the police officer was recounting his version of the events that had transpired in the screening area (my initial refusal to be patted down). After a few minutes, I asked loudly across the distance if I was free to leave. The man dismissively held up a finger and said, “hold on”. I waited. After another minute or so, he returned and asked for my name. I asked why he needed it, and reminded him that the female supervisor/agent had already taken a report. He said that he was trying to be friendly and help me out. I asked to what end. He reminded me that I could be sued civilly and face a $10,000 fine and that my cooperation could help mitigate the penalties I was facing. I replied that he already had my information in the report that was taken and I asked if I was free to leave. I reminded him that he was now illegally detaining me and that I would not be subject to screening as a condition of leaving the airport. He told me that he was only trying to help (I should note that his demeanor never suggested that he was trying to help. I was clearly being interrogated.), and that no one was forcing me to stay. I asked if tried to leave if he would have the officer arrest me. He again said that no one was forcing me to stay. I looked him in the eye, and said, “then I’m leaving”. He replied, “then we’ll bring a civil suit against you”, to which I said, “you bring that suit” and walked out of the airport.

This video starts with my bag and belongings going through the x-ray machine. They’re kind of long, and they don’t show much, but the audio is really good.

I was in the middle of telling someone that if I was going to be felt up, I wanted it done in public so that everyone could see what it is that the TSA does. Here is the rest of that video.

I just love in the following one where a mechanical robot voice is telling us all, “security is everyone’s responsibility.” BLAH BLAH BLAH. Yeah, let the sheeple line up and do everything they are told. The last time I remember anything like this was back during the days of when the trains entered the concentration camps. The Jews had no clue what was to happen to them.

People, we are NOT to take these things lightly. Ask yourselves why they just pick at random whoever they want. Why do they not pick the ones who appear to be the real terrosits? Because they are cowards. Just like Hitler’s henchmen –these are the same people at work.

It’s a good thing, I don’t fly. I surely would not put up with this stuff!

After I was escorted out to the ticketing area, I went to have my ticket refunded. I didn’t have the opportunity or the presence of mind to turn the camera back on until everyone walked away from me.

Joel Osteen’s New Age Life Now?

http://www.worldviewweekend.com/worldview-times/article.php?articleid=6645

By Brannon Howse

“Whatever you conceive you can achieve.”

With this favorite karma-changing promise, New Agers believe you need only use the “unlimited” power and consciousness of your mind to bring about all your dreams, desires and wishes.

Cloaked in a “Christian” package, Joel Osteen’s Your Best Life Now, bears an uncomfortable and dangerous similarity to this most popular of New Age claims. Sample a few of the Osteen versions:

• “You will produce what you’re continually seeing in your mind. If you foster an image of defeat and failure, then you’re going to live that kind of life. But if you develop an image of victory, success, health, abundance, joy, peace, and happiness, nothing on earth will be able to hold those things from you.” (page 5)

• “You must conceive it in your heart and mind before you can receive it.” (page 6)

• “You must look through your ‘eyes of faith’ and start seeing yourself as happy, healthy and whole.” (page 15)

• “What you will receive is directly connected to how you believe.” (page 22)

• “We receive what we believe.” (page 72)

• “Learn how to conceive. Keep the image of what you want to become in front of you. You’re going to become what you believe.” (page 81)

Osteen now travels the country, packing out stadiums with his happy-talk. But I’d like to see Osteen pay a visit to China, preach his “your best life now” drivel, and see how Christians there respond. Let Osteen look into the eyes of Pastor Lei who has been repeatedly arrested and beaten for preaching the Word of God in his church-a church not licensed by the Chinese government. How would the American’s best life work out for Pastor Lei and his congregation? Perhaps their jail time for the Gospel would give them time to assess Rev. Osteen’s claims.

Perhaps when and if these false teachers spend some time in jail themselves for just being a Christian (that is, if they truly are), they will see the error of their teaching. But for now, why should they preach anything different? It has made them rich by fleecing the flock of God!

Have these and countless other persecuted Christians been beaten, jailed and murdered because they “received what they believed,” or did these terrible things happen to them because they did not “develop an image of victory, success, health, abundance, joy, peace, and happiness”?

Were eleven of Jesus’ disciples martyred because, “they received what they believed”? Were the disciples living under a “curse of poverty and defeat” as Osteen says of so many? Here’s a role call of questions I’d like to ask Mr. Osteen. Why is it, Joel, that:

• Paul and Matthew were beheaded?
• Barnabas was burned to death?
• Mark was dragged to death?
• James, the less, was clubbed to death?
• Peter, Philip, and Andrew were crucified?
• Thomas was speared to death?
• Luke was hung by the neck until dead?
• Stephen was stoned?

How would these disciples take to the best-life message?

Yes, I know. Joel’s promises sound so much better to American ears than all those warnings of Jesus about being hated by most people for His sake. But it remains that in large measure, Joel’s offering can be described as nothing less than blasphemy. On page 36, he claims, “God has a big dream for your life.” On page 56: “God sees you as a champion. He believes in you even more than you believe in yourself!” And on page 110: “God has confidence in you.”

Let it be said: God is not impressed with any thing or any body. The ONLY thing that impresses Him, is His Son. Jesus and Jesus alone, is the sweet smelling aroma before the Lord.

Osteen does not provide a single Bible verse to back up these statements…because there are none. Nowhere in the Bible do we read that God believes or has confidence in us. He loves us, but does not believe in us. On the contrary, He knows all too well how unbelievably fickle and untrustworthy we humans actually are. It’s not like Joel describes on page 57: “Believe it or not, that is how God sees you, too. He regards you as a strong, courageous, successful, overcoming person.”

Furthermore, God does not define our success in materialistic terms as Joel does. God is interested in our obedience above all. On page 63, Joel writes:

As long as you are pressing forward, you can hold your head up high, knowing that you are a “work in progress,” and God is in the process of changing you. He’s looking at your last two good moves.

Joel, where in the Bible do you read that God is not looking at our last two bad moves but our last two good moves? Isaiah 64:6 says that even our righteous deeds are like filthy rags or wickedness to God because He is so holy. Even if God did look at our last two good moves, He would still see filthy rags.

Or how about this Osteen gospel gem from page 95:

“Be the best you can be, then you can feel good about yourself.”

Where in the Bible do we find this teaching? What if your best is getting drunk just once a week instead of twice a week? Should you still feel good about yourself?

But wait. I’ve saved Joel’s most outrageous statement for last (drum roll please). On page 144, Joel elevates us to the heavenlies by pointing out that “You may even need to forgive God.”

Whoa! And exactly what would we be forgiving God for? As I recall, forgiveness is for sins-or at least mistakes. But which of those has God made? Not a one according to any Bible I’ve ever read.

Oswald Chambers offers a perspective on the kind of thing the Osteens of the world do to Christians: “Satan’s great aim is to deflect us from the center. He will allow us to be devoted to the death to any cause, any enterprise, to anything but the Lord Jesus.”[1] Hebrews 13:9 instructs us to not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings (deflected from the center) but sadly, that is exactly what is happening for many at the hand of Joel Osteen.

Instead of pursuing our best life now, we should pursue the things of the Lord so we can have our best life later. I fear that for many who follow Joel’s false teaching, this life is the best they will get. The false gospel proclaimed by Joel Osteen and accepted as truth by millions may allow many to achieve what they can conceive of the things in this world, but true to Jesus’ promise, they may lose their souls in the pursuit.

Years ago, my husband and I took a trip to Toronto Canada. There is a street called Yong Street that stretches for miles. People from every nation walked it checking out the hundreds if not thousands of local buisnesses. It was a site to behold. I began to get tired of walking and started to complaining that my feet were hurting. Needless to say, I become a grouch. That is until I heard a voice say, “God bless you, Mam.” I turned to see who spoke. I saw no one at first and began to walk on. It was then that I noticed a nice looking young man on the sidewalk. He had no arms and legs. He looked up at me and smiled. His friend was playing Amazing Grace on the guitar. I had not noticed before. I looked down at the man and told him “God bless you too.” We may have chatted for a bit, I don’t remember, it has been so long. All I know is that after leaving him I no longer complained about my feet hurting.

Even now, when I reach a state of feeling like I can not go on any longer, I think of that young man who took time out of his day just to bless a stranger. He has no idea how he blessed me. May the following be a blessing to you also.

We all need encouraging every now and then. Who else but Jesus can make such a difference?

…for in Him we live and move and have our being. — Acts:17:28 –

If we find ourselves being greatly loved by the world, there is a problem. Yes, God can and does give us favor in the eyes of some. However, if the light that is in us is not exposing the deeds of those who walk in darkness — they become too comfortable in our presense and presume we are one of them and no different — then we need to ask ourselves if the light in us has turned into darkness.

Even a tiny little matchstick light will light up a whole area. We must be the light as Jesus was/is the light and not be surprised if the world hates us.

King James defends Bible from liberalism

My comments in green

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=225429

By Jim Fletcher

There was so much feedback about last week’s discussion of the King James Bible anniversary that it seems like a good idea to add some further thoughts about the KJV and other various translations before venturing into other subjects.

As mentioned previously, just one of the positive aspects of the KJV is that one doesn’t get commentary that is often coming from a leftwing bias. The KJV translators just let the text do their talking, unlike the geniuses who operate as Bible translation editorial boards today. One only needs to look at the old Interpreter’s Bible and gasp at the long list of liberals who wrote that insufferable commentary. By the way, if you want to torture yourself, crack the Interpreter’s Bible open and just attempt to get through a couple sections of commentary. It is the very definition of bad writing.

One of the things the Christian left has done in tampering with Scripture is forcing an environmentalist, “green” agenda into the Bible. It has effectively taken the discussion far beyond what the Bible intended regarding stewardship.

Many, many conservative Christians, by the way, emphasize careful stewardship of our environment, but that news rarely makes the news. It doesn’t fit the liberal agenda of a knuckle-dragging constituency on the right.

Also, notice what liberal policies have influenced in The Message, the popular version championed by the center-left. Eugene Peterson’s 10-million selling The Message Bible alters Scripture in the name of environmentalism.

The Message translates John 3:17, saying that Jesus “came to help, to put the world right again,” instead of “that the world through Him might be saved (referring to salvation of souls, as stated in the KJV).

Peterson doesn’t stop there. He also adds “green” to Romans 15:13: “Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy …”

The Green Bible – no doubt popular in mainline circles – is no less ideological to the point of making the left swoon. Produced in league with the Sierra Club, The Humane Society and the National Council of Churches, The Green Bible has an intro by Desmond Tutu and contributions from N.T. Wright and Brian McLaren.

These contributors claim that the Bible is virtually obsessed (my word) with environmental concerns, but actually, the Bible is not terribly concerned with, ultimately, this present world. You see, this is where worldview and eschatology come to the fore.

The Bible actually says that even this physical planet is under judgment and will one day be completely remade.

It will be remade by the hands of an angry God when He comes back to judge and destroy all who have refused His Son. God does not need the wickedness of man to create some kind of utopia on this earth. Man will NEVER be able to do such a thing. (Look at the Jim Jones Cult who were socialists – I might add.) Man will NEVER be able to build the perfect world. Only a perfect God can do that and He WILL do it when He comes back in all His glory.

Another feature of the “newer Bibles” is the emphasis on mysticism. This goes in lock-step with those who wish to push the square peg of environmental excesses into the round hole of Scripture.

A lot of us have already seen how this little bit of leaven has crept into the church through the likes of John Crowder, Patricia King, etc.

Hear Ray Yungen, from his terrific book, “A Time of Departing”:

I am aware that Foster and Manning both say things that would stir the heart of any Christian. But the issue here is one of mysticism. Is their mysticism legitimate? Biblical meditation and prayer, as found abundantly in the book of Psalms, is not to stop thinking about God but rather to think intently on God and to direct all our thoughts toward God. The following statement by William Shannon quoting Merton leaves an inescapable conclusion:

‘The contemplative experience is neither a union of separate identities nor a fusion of them; on the contrary, separate identities disappear in the All Who is God.’

In essence, he is saying there is only one big identity – God. This is more in tune with core shamanism than Christianity, yet Manning embraces Shannon.

In Leviticus 19:31, God says, ‘I am the Lord your God.’ Only God possesses God’s identity. Any other teaching is heretical.
Amen.

This whole emphasis on liberal causes that has seeped into the Bible itself is eye-opening.

I was amazed back in the 90′s to see a copy of the NIV Men’s Devotional Bible and a quote from Thomas Merton. The NIV team saw fit to include this statement by the Catholic mystic Merton, who claimed that “sin is the refusal of spiritual life.”

The quote sounds spiritual. It sounds “deep.”

The problem is, it’s nonsense. If sin were the refusal of spiritual life, we’d have billions of sinless people. Many people are spiritual. It was shocking at the time that a “Christian” publisher would produce something like that. It isn’t anymore.

In any event, we feel cold winds blowing in Christian publishing today, and as I’ve stated many times, the mainstream houses are no longer friendly to conservative authors. All the more reason to support groups like WND Books; Lighthouse Trails; Encounter; Regnery; etc.

If they can make us SWALLOW this, what will they do next?

Folks, this is just more conditioning us to accept some kind of implantable chip at some time. I don’t know about anyone else, but I am not about to allow myself to become a piece of meat for government OR the medical field. I will do without before I swallow some kind of little robot pill or have a chip implanted in me! They can stuff it for all I care!

Following article gotten here:

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6A754720101108

Look out, your medicine is watching you

Novartis AG plans to seek regulatory approval within 18 months for a pioneering tablet containing an embedded microchip, bringing the concept of “smart-pill” technology a step closer.

The initial program will use one of the Swiss firm’s established drugs taken by transplant patients to avoid organ rejection. But Trevor Mundel, global head of development, believes the concept can be applied to many other pills.

“We are taking forward this transplant drug with a chip and we hope within the next 18 months to have something that we will be able to submit to the regulators, at least in Europe,” Mundel told the Reuters Health Summit in New York.

“I see the promise as going much beyond that,” he added.

Novartis agreed in January to spend $24 million to secure access to chip-in-a-pill technology developed by privately owned Proteus Biomedical of Redwood City, California, putting it ahead of rivals.

The biotech start-up’s ingestible chips are activated by stomach acid and send information to a small patch worn on the patient’s skin, which can transmit data to a smartphone or send it over the Internet to a doctor.

Mundel said the initial project was focused on ensuring that patients took drugs at the right time and got the dose they needed — a key issue for people after kidney and other transplant operations, when treatment frequently needs adjustment.

Longer-term, he hopes to expand the “smart pill” concept to other types of medicine and use the wealth of biometric information the Proteus chip can collect, from heart rate and temperature to body movement, to check that drugs are working properly.

Because the tiny chips are added to existing drugs, Novartis does not expect to have to conduct full-scale clinical trials to prove the new products work. Instead, it aims to do so-called bioequivalence tests to show they are the same as the original.

A bigger issue may be what checks should be put in place to protect patients’ personal medical data as it is transmitted from inside their bodies by wireless and Bluetooth.

“The regulators all like the concept and have been very encouraging. But … they want to understand how we are going to solve the data privacy issues,” Mundel said.

A technology that ensures a patient takes his or her medicine and checks that it is working properly should deliver better outcomes and justify a higher price tag.
