Pope Francis says atheists can be good
Just do good, and we’ll find a meeting point, says Francis in marked departure from Benedict’s line on non-Catholics
Sorry, but the pope is a liar. If he thinks that just being good is enough to somehow make us worhty of, he is wrong.
Of course atheists can be good… as neighbors, friends, loved ones, etc. I do not deny that. But to say that atheists or anyone else who has not called on the name of Jesus for salvation, for redemption, that somehow we all are redeemed, is a lie. A blatant outright lie. It is Universalism, the teaching that all will end up in the same place after death.
My words will not bother any true atheist as the true atheist does not believe in God to begin with. Those who it would bother would be those (atheist or not) who want to somehow believe they can get to a heaven (which some say they do not believe in) without the Blood of Jesus for the remission of sin.
It is not those of us who believe in Jesus who think we are better than others. It is those who believe they need no Savior who think they are better. Their moral code is Humanism, one of their own making. I see and know what the human race is capable of; Corruption, wickedness and evil. There is only one Person who can make things new and change a life and that is Jesus Christ. To redeem means to buy back, to purchase from corruption.
The pope is a liar. He preaches a false gospel. Those who trust in his words, his dogma are denying the truth of God. That Jesus came as THE perfect sacrifice for all of mankind. To believe all it takes is good works for redemption brings reproach to the truth. There is no other way to eternal life except through Jesus Christ.
Paul said: knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. — Galatians 2:15 –
The pope is an anti-christ. He has taken the truth and twisted it for social/political gain, to help create a new world where we all are brothers and have all things in common. The unbeliever is not my brother or sister. If God is not their Father, they are not His children. Christians have been grafted in to the family of the One True God having the right to call God our Father.
It does not mean that a Christian can not have an atheist friend. A friend that would mean them no harm. It just means that the two are entirely different than one another in beliefs and there is no common ground in that. There may be common ground in other areas, but when it comes to the truth as the Christian believes, the Christian will not compromise for a fake peace with those who are enemies of the Cross. The pope has shown me he is an enemy of the Cross.

Atheists should be seen as good people if they do good, Pope Francis has said in his latest urging that people of all religions, and none, work together.
The leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics made his comments in the homily of his morning mass at his residence, a daily event at which he speaks without prepared comments.
He told the story of a Catholic who asked a priest if even atheists had been redeemed by Jesus.
“Even them, everyone,” the pope answered, according to Vatican Radio. “We all have the duty to do good,” he said.
“Just do good, and we’ll find a meeting point,” the pope said in a hypothetical reply to the hypothetical comment: “But I don’t believe. I’m an atheist.”
Francis’s reaching out to atheists and people who belong to no religion is in marked contrast to the attitude of his predecessor, Benedict, who sometimes prompted complaints from non-Catholics that he seemed to see them as second-class believers.
I do not see Atheists as second-class citizens. Never have and never will, except for the exception of the nasty ones I have run across every now and then. But the few I do know are pleasant people and they know I would do them no harm as I know they wish me no harm. However, Jesus Himself would not let anyone call him good, though He certainly was and is worthy of being called so. This is what He had to say about being good:
So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. — Mark 10:18 –
I will say it again: The pope and anyone else who says there are others ways to be “redeemed” outside of the finished work done on the Cross by Jesus Christ, is a liar. Those of us who truly are redeemed need to start standing up and exposing the lies of the anti-christ that is meant to give people a false assurance.
