Fishy “sign and wonder”

GoldfishGod

No wonder some Atheists and those in the world think we Christians are a bunch of kooks. When we accept everything that is being touted as a sign and wonder, not only does it make us look like a bunch of moronic goofballs, but it makes the central theme of the Gospel — the Cross — of little to no value. We can not convince the world the need for a Savior if we ourselves do not know the difference between light and darkness, truth and lie, good and evil, reality and unreality.

Woman finds ‘sign from God’ on Goldfish cracker

‘There’s no way this could have been printed like that in the factory’

Really? Who says? Because you say so, we are to believe it? This sign and wonder could have been easily created. It could have been made with a cookie press — even from a press made for Play Dough!  In fact, this little “sign and wonder” could have been made from Play Dough. More than likely it was made at the factory.

It’s a fishy story, but the woman telling it believes it’s pure gold. The Florida resident says the markings she found on a Goldfish cracker are a direct message affirming her Christian faith.

“I believe that it’s a sign, a sign from God,” Patti Burke told Florida Today. “He is still in our life every day, and he wants to show that to his people.”

What? His Word is not enough? Just because you believe something does not make it true.

It’s not quite manna, but in Burke’s eyes it’s a manifestation of her faith.

The cracker in question has two markings, or imperfections, on its surface. Burke says the first marking is of a cross with a circle around it. The second marking, near the head of the fish, represents a golden crown.

Sorry, but I don’t see a crown. But what I do see are a couple of occult new age pagan symbols:

CIRCLE (sun disc, sacred hoop, ring): An ancient and universal symbol of unity, wholeness, infinity, the goddess, female power, and the sun. To earth-centered religions throughout history as well as to many contemporary pagans, it represents the feminine spirit or force, the cosmos or a spiritualized Mother Earth, and a sacred space. Gnostic traditions linked the unbroken circle to the “world serpent” forming a circle as it eats its own tail.

The sacred circle filled with a cross, four equal lines pointing from the center to the spirits of the north, east, south, and west — or to the basic element: earth, water, air (or wind), and fire. In Native American traditions, it forms the basic pattern of the MEDICINE WHEEL and plays a vital part in major spiritual rituals. Many contemporary pagans consider it their main symbol for transmitting the energy of the goddess.

“When I picked this one up, I knew he was special,” she said. “Something I’ve never seen before out of all the Goldfish I’ve eaten.”

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds totally stupid?

Burke admittedly has been working from a large sample size, consuming between two and three pounds of the crackers per week. She says she eats the small crackers individually, examining each one for the optimal amount of savory coating.

Okie dokie, if someone wants to take time to examine each little cracker, no concern of mine. I could find better things to do.

Burke now carries her special cracker in an earring box padded with gauze. But she wasn’t immediately convinced it was a sign from God. At first, she thought maybe she had won a special promotion from cracker manufacturer Pepperidge Farm.

“They called me back and said there’s no way this could have been printed like that in the factory,” Burke told Florida Today. “They said it sounds like something miraculous happened and we don’t know how it happened.”

(That comment has not been confirmed by Pepperidge Farm.)

No one can say exactly when people started seeing notable figures in their food, but it’s a phenomenon that has made headlines in the modern era. Last year, a Nebraska woman sold a Chicken McNugget on eBay for $8,100 after becoming convinced it contained the visage of George Washington.

After becoming convinced that the cracker in fact possessed a deeper, spiritual message, Burke brought her sign of faith to her pastor, D. Scott Worth.

“I think it’s a sign,” Worth told WKMG. “I think it points to, I would hesitate to call it a miracle, but I think it points to the miracle, which is Jesus Christ defeated death. And that’s what Easter is all about.”

Yeah, I agree. Hardly a miracle. Therefore, it points to nothing but silly signs and wonders.

Of course, not every piece of food contains divine inspiration. Just pray you don’t end up with a toaster possessed by the Devil.

My question is, if you got hungry enough would you eat it? If not, then you have made it an idol.

The “Jesus Culture” – a petri dish for growing young new heretics?

bzel333: The Jesus Culture Conferences are teaching biblical error. Some biblical errors are more obvious than others. One error that can be hard to detect is the “different gospel” that is taught and preached consistently throughout Jesus Culture’s teachings. It is “Word of faith” and signs and wonders and not at all Christ centered and cross focused. If you are planning to attend a Jesus Culture Conference, I would strongly reconsider attending.

Why is it always an “angel”?

Ok, so the following article tells us about a “sign” in the sky that people immediatedly want to call an angel. When confessed Christians are quick to jump on the band wagon with this sort of thing, no wonder the Atheists see us as a bunch of kooks. The same people who see this as a “sign” would be the very same people who see the Virgin Mary in their grill cheese sandwich, the same people who would believe gold dust and angel feathers are in their worship services.

I think what is happening is people are so desperate to believe in something, that they would believe anything. As long as it brings them the warm fuzzys. My question, especially to confessed Christians: if you say angel, why can’t I call it a devil? A lying sign and wonder. For all we know HAARP could have made it or it could be a hologram. OR, it could even be a sign from Satan. If Satan’s ministers transform themselves into angels of light, then is it never possible that he could even do this to get people to follow “signs and wonders” all in the name of some kind of spirituality?

Just hours after white smoke signaled that a new pope was named some South Floridians saw a different sign of faith in the sky.

Diane Barnwell was among them. She snapped a photo resembling an angel outside of the mall in Wellington.

“It looks like an angel to me, it really, really does.(laughs),” she said.

Which is why Diane grabbed her cell phone and snapped a few photos.

“I thought ‘wow, this is really something, you know?’ It made me feel like something is watching over us. And I know the pope was elected yesterday so maybe that was a sign that God is happy with what’s happened.”

A pontifical prophecy? Or just a cirrus cloud at sunset? Or……even a hoax?

Count Jessica Haislip among the skeptical. “I think the photos could’ve been photo-shopped because I tend to be more scientific minded and question things more.”

The photos instantly went viral. Social media has been bursting with different opinions.

Raymond Russo of St. Ann Catholic Church in West Palm Beach sees a different spiritual leader in that cloud.
“To me it looks like Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit all in one, coming to give us a message of good tidings.”

Father Nestor Rodriguez is the pastor St. Ann Catholic Church, he says, “Obviously people will see different things, but I think if it’s significant for people of faith…if it gives us inspiration…glory to God!”

I see nothing in this that brings glory to God. What I do see is just another hap-hazard sign that is preparing a sea of people to accept the final and the grandest delusion to ever hit the earth.

Are all angels safe?

My comments will be in green

By Marsha West

Contrary to popular belief angels are neither chubby little babes with rosy cheeks nor are they exquisite young women with gossamer wings decked out in long flowing gowns. The Bible reveals very little about angels. What we do know is that God sends angels to do His bidding.

Nor are angels balls of lights or orbs, that so many now want to profess. This alone has got to be the most ridiculous of all claims. There is absolutely no proof of any such thing. Just because so-called leaders (especially within the apostate church) say so, does not make it the truth.

The Bible mentions two elect holy angels (the good guys) by name: Michael and Gabriel. Scripture also mentions the Angel of the Lord; Michael the archangel; the Captain of the Host of the Lord; messengers; and guardians.

Also mentioned are fallen angels (the bad guys). Lucifer, one of God’s highest angels, led a revolt against God and was banished from heaven along with his followers which is said to be a third of the angels. There are many names for Lucifer such as Satan, Devil, Prince of Darkness and Beelzebub. The other rebels became demons. In the future God will judge Satan and his demons.

Angels are spirit beings and are neither male nor female. In the Bible they appear to people as males, never as females.

Because I have written several articles on angeles I’m often asked if angels are among us today.

Yes!

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares(Heb. 13:2).

Those who believe they are experiencing an angel visitation must scrutinize what the angel purports. For example, does your angel point you to Jesus Christ or away from Him? Elect holy angels (from here on out referred to as angels) will always point you to Christ, never to anyone else, living or deceased, which includes the Apostles and the Virgin Mary.

I would have to add here, that if the angel is pointing you to Jesus, then what kind of Jesus? Usually it is one who points you back to the experience so you will continue to seek another occultic experience. If you feel led to continue on seeking this experience, then it is not the real Jesus.

Angels never espouse new doctrines or extra-biblical (special) revelation. Likewise, they do not point individuals to religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Jainism, Zoroastrianism, et al.

Angels by no means encourage participation in the counterfeit religions’ holy days, festivals, ceremonies and rituals, nor do they advance the idea of having a sacred place or space.

Angels would never suggest that people involve themselves in occult activities. Currently, Transcendental Meditation (TM) is all the rage, even among Christians. Angels absolutely do not direct anyone to embrace this pagan practice. TM is not biblical meditation. Instead of meditating on God’s Word, the practitioner goes into an altered-state-of-consciousness (alpha state) which is a light dream state in order to connect with “god.” It should be a big red flag that New Agers are advocates of TM. In fact, many so-called psychics make meditation a part of their spiritual practice to contact their “spirit guides.”

Sadly, many Christians who have embraced The Silence akacontemplative, or centering, or breathprayer are woefully unaware that what they’re practicing is unbiblical meditation.

And then we have “Christian yoga” spreading like a wild fire through the Christian community. I realize that this may not go over well with some readers, however, even if your yoga class is led by a Christian and held in a church, it is taboo!

The bottom line is this: Angels would not, could not, promote anything God expressly forbids — and He forbids His children to have any part in pagan religious practices, nor are we to embrace the world’s philosophies.

Bear in mind that the holy angels are incapable of going against God, whereas unholy angels continuously go against God in their quest to lead people astray. In 2 Cor. 4:4 we learn that Satan is the “god of this world.” According to Gotquestions.com:

The phrase”god of this world”… indicates that Satan is the major influence on the mind-set expressed by the ideals, opinions, goals, hopes and views of the majority of people. His areas of influence also encompass the world’s philosophies, education, and commerce. The thoughts, ideas, speculations and false religions of the world are under his control and have sprung from his lies and deceptions.

I’m also frequently asked if God allows us to contact angels.

No!

Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God (Leviticus 19:31).

It is a complete waste of time to “call your angel” or to try to contact angels by constructing an altar…lighting candles…burning incense…meditating… or any other way that allegedly makes angels feel comfortable. God forbids His people from contacting the spirit realm! And besides, regenerate Christians have direct access to God through the Son, Jesus Christ. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1Tim 2:5) So, why would we call on angels or anybody else when we can go directly to God through Christ?

Those who contact angels (or spirit guides) are inviting demons! Demons can and do possess humans! Both holy and unholy angels are notgiven the authority to indwell believers. The reason is obvious: the Holy Spirit takes up residence in a person at the moment of regeneration. Once the Spirit takes up residence in a believer, He never leaves. Listen to what Jesus said:

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16-17).

Those who are truly saved are God’s property:

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Again, believers cannot be demon possessed. They are, however, susceptible to demonic oppression.

Demonic oppression is when a demon is temporarily victorious over a Christian, successful in tempting a Christian to sin, and able to hinder a Christian’s ability to serve God with a strong testimony. (Source)

I’m going to close with this warning: Contacting angels is neither wise nor safe.

An Answer to Choo Thomas Defenders

Dale Schauer has written another article in response to Choo Thomas. Once again, please do not leave me comments in trying to uphold her. Brother Dale has done an exhaustive work in explaining the truth and I refuse to keep going around the same old mountain. Many people have been able to see the truth and have ran from her heresy. As for those who still want to cling to her delusions as THE truth, you are free to leave this place and believe what you will. But know this: you have been told the truth.

http://annointing.wordpress.com/2012/12/03/balaams-in-the-end-times/

Let’s review some grounded facts. First, the Lord God of Israel is sovereign and supreme over all. He can take the bad and can take unclean vessels and turn it around and use it for good (Romans 8:28). Second, His written Word the Bible is infallible and is to be our only true guide on how to live our lives. Third, we are living in the very last days where it is prophesied in the Bible that many false prophets will arise who will deceive even the most discerning if the days are not shortened. Fourth, Born Again Christians are to test everything and hold onto only those things that are totally true and good. With those four facts to stand on, we can now move on.

I received a comment from someone who supports the book ‘Heaven Is So Real’ by Choo Thomas. They stated that they were brought closer to God and repented of their sins after reading the book. I would now like to state some further facts. First, Choo claims that it is Jesus’ end time book and that it is a book of truth. Second, Choo’s book is filled from one end to the other with deception that is in direct opposition to what the Bible teaches (see PDF at at http://annointing.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/concerns-about-heaven-is-so-real.pdf

). Third, my Christian walk has been inspired by many secular books and movies. They have a way of pricking my conscience that the Holy Spirit then takes and uses it for good in my life. What makes these sources different is that they do not claim truth like Choo does for her book.

Now to get down to the bare bones of how we should treat Choo’s book as Christians. Because Choo’s book claims to be fact and in reality it is filled with deception, we are to stay clear of it and point out its deception to other believers. To promote it is sin.

Do you realize that God can use anyone for His glory? Remember Balaam? God used Balaam, a pagan prophet who was hired by Balak, to share with Balak the blessings that He intended for Israel. Balaam had just seen God speak through his donkey. After hearing the donkey speak, God opened Balaam’s eyes (Numbers 22:31) and effectively made Balaam understand that God and God alone would give him the words to speak to Balak. There were 7 prophecies Balaam gave to Balak in Numbers 23-24. Remember that Balak had offered to pay Balaam to contact the gods and curse Israel. After all, that was what Balaam was known for in all the land. However, Balaam did nothing of the sort this time as he allowed God to speak through him 7 different times, all of which were blessings rather than curses on the nation of Israel. After Balak realized he wasn’t getting what he wanted he sent Balaam on his way without paying him (Numbers 24:11). Later Balaam caused the Israelites to sin through his counsel (Numbers 31:16). These exploits later cost him his life (Joshua 13:22). We are warned three times throughout the New Testament to stay away from the errors of Balaam.

Judas Iscariot was a New Testament Balaam. There are many preachers in Hell right now who have led many souls to Christ during their time on earth. Paul warns, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. (I Corinthians 9:27)”

Choo Thomas has gone the way of Balaam. She has placed a stumbling block before the children of God (Revelation 2:14). The book she wrote, “Heaven Is So Real’ clearly was not given to her by The Lord Jesus Christ. 100% proof of this is that it does not line up with the Word of God (see the PDF). As to being brought closer to God, and repenting of one’s sins after reading the book, as one commenter to my post wrote me, is just simply testimony that God can turn Satan’s devices around and use it for His glory. Remember, it all boils down to Jesus, and not to Choo Thomas or her book.

Unfortunately there are many Balaams that have infiltrated Christianity in the age we are living. Do not forget that we are accountable to use discernment. All things that claim to line up with the Word of God and fall short by even 1 percent we are to turn away from. Satan misused Scripture when tempting Jesus. Even though Satan quoted the Scripture correctly, he was rebuked because he twisted it. The commenter needs to give glory to Jesus and not support the book in any way. It does not get any clearer than 1 Thessalonians 5:21 that says, “Test all things; hold fast what is good.”

Numerous testimonies abound from Christians who suffered depression and confusion after reading ‘Heaven is so Real’. James 3:17 clearly states, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.”

To those who may have been touched by Choo’s book, a message of warning: let’s never get caught up in the worldly concept ‘The End Justifies The Means’ as far as it pertains to human efforts. Our job as Christians is to seek for Holy Spirit discernment on how to witness to people. Jude verses 22-23 says, “And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.”

Cult Leader Thinks He’s Jesus

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.

“Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.   — Matthew 24:23 – 26 –

When asked questions, this messiah’s answers were vague and nonsensical.

When asked what was his favorite food: “It would be difficult for me to say something you would understand. I interpret things differently.”

Seems to me like the real Jesus, who knows all things, would be able to describe to a puny little human being in a way where he would understand. This is a tactic to make one’s self appear much more important, much more evolved than the average human being. But the truth of the matter is, this jesus is nothing but a mere man, who has found ways to deceive many people.

When asked by the interviewer, “Just meeting me briefly, can you tell me any thing about my soul?”

“I can feel a person, but can not define the features. They are undefined. It depends upon what you want to hear.”

You mean to tell me that Jesus would not be able to see and know all things about one’s soul?

I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. — John 10:14 — (Jesus)

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. — John 10:27 –

“If you could tell one bit of advice, that of yours here, could follow, relatively easy, what would it be?”

“Do not try to be superior among the people around you. That intention leads to death.”

In other words: “It is ok for me to be worshipped. But you, you must submit yourself to my every ordinance while I live as a king/messiah among you.”

Very hypocritical, don’t you think?

Actually, in some ways, this is not any worse than what is going on in a lot of mainstream churches of today. Some people have made their pastor an idol, becoming totally dependent upon him for every word. They get so involved in church and church activities they have no room for anything else in their life. If that too is not cultic, I don’t know what it is.

vice:
Deep in Siberia’s Taiga forest is Vissarion, a cult leader who looks like Jesus and claims to be the voice of God. He’s known as “the Teacher” to his 4,000 followers, who initially seem surprisingly normal. Over time, however, their unflinching belief in UFOs and the Earth’s imminent demise made this group start to look more and more like some sort of strange cult.

How to fake Stigmata

This video is in answer to the comments I get regarding Lucy Rael and her stigmata sign and wonder. Many people believe this bunk and here it is shown how it is fake.

What people have to remember about signs and wonders is this: Usually it is done in much fakery. The reason anyone would try to fake you off is only to deceive you and get you to follow a lie, rather than the truth. Ask yourself what these fakers are asking from you in return for the sign and wonder. No doubt, it will be your money. It will be your allegiance under the pretext of following Jesus. But which Jesus? Jesus is not a deceiver. He would never lead you into following Him by lying signs and wonders. If you do not test EVERYTHING, then you open yourself up for more deception.

Please do not leave me a comment trying to defend this outrageous fakery.

Tavahkillah:

Is “Heaven Is for Real” for Real?: An Exercise In Discernment

Following article gotten here:

http://www.thebereancall.org/content/heaven-real-real-exercise-discernment-0

There have been quite a number of books written by or about people who claim to have personally visited Heaven.

Some of these authors profess to be Christians while others do not. The descriptions of their experiences vary regarding such things as entering into a dazzling white light at the end of a dark tunnel and being greeted by deceased loved ones, or being in the presence of God and seeing the shed feathers of angels dotting the grand floor of His throne room. Many of their stories contain information that would seem to be beyond their ability to know at the time–or at all.

Although these individuals supply much information, the content raises many questions. Obviously, everything they say can’t be true because some of the content in one book contradicts what’s written in others. How do we know who is giving us an accurate and truthful account?

A biblical Christian might say that he would compare what they say with what is presented in the Scriptures about Heaven. If it rings true to the Word of God, then it must be true. Well, yes and no. Yes, it must be true to Scripture. What is presented certainly cannot be at odds with what the Bible teaches about Heaven; nevertheless, just because it conforms to Scripture doesn’t prove that the person’s declaration or experience of being  in Heaven actually took place.

I know a good deal about Heaven from my study of the Bible. If I told you that I had recently visited there and only communicated what I knew was recorded in the Bible about it, you couldn’t object to what I said on the basis of my being biblically inaccurate. Accuracy, however, is not the only criterion for biblical discernment. There are many other instructions and examples that we must take into consideration. For example, the Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 12 of a “man in Christ” (no doubt Paul himself) who was caught up to Heaven. He didn’t know at the time whether it was an experience in which his spirit had left his body, or a vision while his spirit remained in his body. Nevertheless, he states that what he saw and heard in paradise was not lawful for a man to utter. Paul’s experience was followed by a humbling infirmity, which he states that God allowed him to suffer “lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations…” (2 Corinthians:12:6-7 [6] For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. [7] And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. ). That isn’t always the case in Scripture. The Apostle John obviously was given permission to declare what he witnessed in Heaven in the Book of Revelation. This would seemingly apply as well to the writer of the Book of Job.

But can we be sure that the visions and personal experiences of these writers are true? Absolutely–because their words are found in the Scriptures . Of the Word of God, the psalmist writes, “Thy word is true from the beginning…,” and Jesus said, “Thy word is truth” (Psalm:119:160Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.; John:17:17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.). That  is the ultimate verification that the experiences of those men of God indeed took place as they described. Furthermore, since the canon of Scripture was closed in the first century A.D., no one since that time can have his vision of-or his alleged visit to–Heaven  validated in the same way.

Jesus gave us another insight to help our discernment when He told of Lazarus and the rich man. The rich man, who had died, was in a place where he was tormented and suffering remorse. Yet he begged Abraham to send someone to warn his brothers so that they would not end up with him in “this place of torment.” Abraham’s response was: “They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.” And again, “If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead” (Luke:16:19-31 [19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: [20] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, [21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. [22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; [23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. [25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. [26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. [27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: [28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. [29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. [30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. [31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. ).

Armed with the above scriptural teachings for the purposes of discernment, let’s apply these and other biblical admonitions and critical questions to a book that is having an impact on Christendom and the American public.  Heaven Is for Real  was published in 2010 and made the New York Times  Best-Sellers list. It has also been the cause of controversy in some fellowships, as believers have been divided in their support of and disputation over the book’s veracity.

Heaven Is for Real  is a nonfiction account that documents the experience of a three-year-old boy who believes that he visited Heaven. The story is told by the boy’s father, an evangelical pastor. He and his wife initially seem to be rather startled by their son’s revelations, which he shares over a period of about three years. There is nothing not  to like about this Christian family, and much that is quite admirable. The little boy is a typical three- or four-year-old–hardly precocious, but simply matter of fact in relating what he seems to have experienced.

That experience took place when three-year-old Colton was undergoing emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. Not too long afterward, he told his parents that he saw them praying for him outside the operating room. When they asked how he knew what they had been doing he said, “Cause I could see you….I went up out of my body and I was looking down and I could see the doctor working on my body. [Scripture tells us that death takes place when the spirit vacates the body. Yet there was no medical report of a clinical death during Colton's surgery.] And I saw you and Mommy. You were in a little room by yourself, praying; and Mommy was in a different room, and she was praying and talking on the phone” (pp. xx-xxi). The accuracy of Colton’s disclosure rocked his parents to the core. But that was just the beginning of revelations that far and away defy natural explanations.

Colton’s other revelations included: angels singing “Jesus Loves Me” to him; his sitting on Jesus’ lap; meeting John the Baptist and the angel Gabriel; petting Jesus’ rainbow-colored horse; his descriptions of Jesus’ wounds and attire, including a crown with a pink diamond that Jesus wore; the prevalence of kids in Heaven; his description of everyone there having wings like the angels–all except Jesus, that is; his being recognized by his great grandfather, who died decades before Colton was born; and the description of God as “really, really big.”

Although most of Colton’s observations in Heaven are not outside the realm of possibility of what could  take place there, they are nevertheless extra-biblical insights and information, some being more problematic than others. For example, Colton explains that “Everyone kind of looks like angels in heaven,” sporting wings (the size of which are dependent on the individual’s size) and a halo. Since the resurrection of believers’ transformed physical bodies has yet to take place, their form now in Heaven must lack physical attributes. Hence the need for wings of whatever size makes no sense. Moreover, other than the descriptive visions of the heavenly creatures known as cherubim and seraphim and the decorative designs in the Temple and upon the Mercy Seat, angels that appear to humanity are never described as having wings.

Many supporters of the book claim that any and all objections pale in the face of the supernatural knowledge that Colton reveals–things that were humanly impossible for him to know. For example, he said that he had met his other sister in Heaven. When told by his mother that Cassie was his only sister, his shocking response was, “No….I have two sisters. You had a baby die in your tummy, didn’t you?” (p. 94). Colton had never been told of the “painful episode” of the miscarriage, and his parents never knew the gender of the fetus. Colton added, “In heaven, this little girl ran up to me, and she wouldn’t stop hugging me….She said she just can’t wait for you and Daddy to get to heaven” (p. 96). That revelation seemed to be the most convincing for Colton’s parents that their son had indeed visited Heaven: “We had wanted to believe that our unborn child had gone to heaven. Even though the Bible is largely silent on this point, we had accepted it on faith. But now, we had an eyewitness: a daughter we had never met was waiting eagerly for us in eternity” (p. 97).

Was Colton truly an eyewitness  in Heaven to everything he described? Much of it is quite mindboggling, notwithstanding the fact that all of it  is extra-biblical. Yet it provides alleged insights about Heaven; e.g., a girl dies as a fetus, grows into a little girl in heaven, and then is eagerly awaiting her parents’ arrival. What if one or both parents reject the gospel? Would there then be disappointment in a place of perfect bliss?

Consider how Colton’s father mentioned that “the Bible is largely silent” on a certain issue. It is also completely silent on the specific things that Colton has revealed. This raises the question as to why God would leave out something of value for us in His inerrant Word, which was given through His prophets “as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter:1:21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.)–only to reveal it later through a little boy (as well as many others who make similar claims). On the back cover of the book we read, “ Heaven Is for Real  will forever change the way you think of eternity, offering the chance to see, and believe, like a child.”

The Bible is God’s  precise, absolute, and eternal communication to mankind (Luke:21:33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.; Hebrews:4:12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.). It did not come by nor was it left up to the will or imagination of man (2 Peter:1:20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.). Paul writes, “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe” (1 Thessalonians:2:13For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.). Our faith can be childlike, but it is faith placed in God’s Word, not in anyone’s alleged “eyewitness” account, be they a child or an adult. Peter was an eyewitness to an incredible event. He saw Jesus supernaturally transfigured before his very eyes and heard the voice of God. We can be sure that the personal experience he had was true because it’s reported in Scripture. Nevertheless, he tells us that his personal experience (or anyone else’s) is not as trustworthy as the Word of God : “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed” (2 Peter:1:19We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:).

At the time and in the years following Colton’s experience, his dad was very interested in having him describe Jesus. He wrote that “as a pastor, I wound up spending a lot of time at hospitals, in Christian bookstores, and at other churches–all places where there are lots of drawings and paintings of Christ….When we came across a picture of Jesus we’d ask Colton, ‘What about this one? Is that what Jesus looks like?’” (p. 93). Time after time, Colton would reject the dozens of misrepresentations. Then, nearly three years after Colton’s surgery, he was shown a portrait of Jesus painted by a young girl named Akiane, who also claims to have have visited Heaven beginning at the age of four. Colton’s reaction was, “Dad, that one’s right.” His confirmation convinced his father: “Knowing how many pictures Colton had rejected, Sonja [his mother] and I finally felt that in Akiane’s portrait, we’d seen the face of Jesus. Or at least a startling likeness” (p. 145).

In Exodus, we find a definitive statement against anyone attempting to make an image of God (Exodus:20:4-5 [4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: [5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; ). That applies to images of Jesus, whether of statues or great religious paintings or on the silver screen. One of the many problems is that they inevitably lead to idolatry, which in turn breeds superstition and occultism. Another related problem is that they must all  be false representations because they have no basis in Scripture–other than being condemned. Jesus therefore could not encourage a young girl to paint His portrait.

Those who believe that He did encourage Akiane (because she could then point people to Him through her amazing art skills and her testimony concerning Him) need to compare with Scripture what she, at age 16, says about Jesus: “Jesus shared with us: ‘I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to my Father, but through me.’ I feel that he invited us to participate in the divinity. Each of us is one of kind [ sic ] original path to the way of truth and light, and without our individual love and effort we cannot understand and reach God” (http://akiane.com/blog/?tag=akiane). Her interpretation rejects Jesus as being the only way for mankind to be reconciled to God. It opposes what Jesus taught in favor of Satan’s promise of divinity to Eve (Genesis:3:5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.). Akiane’s paintings and words clearly reflect “another Jesus.”

What puzzles many people is how Colton, as a three-year-old at the time of his experience, could attain information, most of which was completely foreign to him at his young age. His parents don’t know for sure but believe their son received the visit to Heaven as a gift from God. Their “faith,” however sincere and biased toward their little boy, does not have the support of Scripture. How, then, was he able to describe what he did without the input gained from actually being in Heaven? No one can say for sure–not even little Colton. He was in an operating room, surrounded by attending medical personnel, and under the influence of an anesthesia-produced altered state of consciousness.

What we do know about that and other types of drug-induced conditions of mind (even dream states, meditation, and an overworked imagination) is that multitudes of people have reported experiences that seem to validate everything from clinical or near-death events to past-lives journeys to abductions on UFOs. They also reveal information for which they had no basis of knowledge prior to their experiences. It may be that an altered state of consciousness creates a condition in which the mind is like a blank screen, open to outside input. Spirit entities, whose goal it is to undermine the Word of God and deceive the world, might have that ability to program the blank screen and could therefore take advantage of anyone in such a highly susceptible condition (see Dave Hunt, Occult Invasion , pp. 187-90). But again, no one knows for sure how such things take place.

The critical issue for discernment is not “how it works” but “what is being communicated.” All that a Bible-believing Christian can do in ascertaining the truth of a matter is to be vigilant by “searching the Scriptures” to see if what is being presented is true to the full counsel of God’s Word (Acts:17:11These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.). If we don’t do that, whether we are young believers or mature in the faith, we are just as vulnerable to false teachings as those whose circumstances have directly opened them to deceptive experiences.

A believer’s life in Christ is shaped by a great many experiences that the Lord allows for our growth in Him. It begins with one’s believing the gospel, to which sound doctrine is added. As we abide in Christ’s teachings, our discernment will increase, thus protecting us from “being carried about with every wind of doctrine” (Ephesians:4:14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;). Let us therefore take to heart Paul’s warning: “I have laid the foundation [of the gospel], and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon” (1 Corinthians:3:10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.). TBC

It’s been a while since I’ve put one of these up. It’s self explanatory. So I will not do any open commenting on it. However, feel free to leave comments of your won, except for those who want to uphold the false signs and wonders movement.
I will not post those and will not answer them as the truth is pretty much stated in the video.

What if it started “walking?”

Call it a weird thought, but, what if  –as through some kind of mechanical device or other wise — that thing started walking across the water? I suspect people would call it a great sign and wonder and many would bow before it paying it homage. Just saying.

Following article gotten here: http://www.christianpost.com/news/ohio-megachurch-dedicates-new-52-foot-jesus-statue-82462/

A megachurch in southwest Ohio dedicated a new statue of Jesus on Sunday that replaces the iconic sculpture known as “Touchdown Jesus” that burned down after being struck by lightning in 2010.

The Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio, celebrated the construction of the new “Lux Mundi” (The Light of the World) statue off Interstate 75 in a special service on Sunday evening.

“It’s a big, big event for us…. it’s been over 2 years, it’s been a long process. But, we’re very pleased with the final product. Peoples’ reaction has been very positive for us. So it’s a great day,” wpco.com quoted church administrator Ron Carter as saying.

The new statue is designed by Japanese-American sculptor Tom Tsuchiya, who is with Design Dynamics, Inc. “Ultimately, I hope Lux Mundi will be a constant reminder for all of us to get along with each other,” Tsuchiya was quoted as saying.

The Lux Mundi statue depicts a full body Jesus with arms outstretched walking on the lake in front of Solid Rock’s sanctuary. Because it has its arms reaching forward, bearing a resemblance to the football referee’s signal, and not towards the sky, some referred to it also as “Touchdown Jesus.”

In 2010, a storm ripped through the area and a bolt of lightning struck the previous statue built in 2004. All that remained of “Touchdown Jesus” was a heavily damaged iron frame.

Just because a child says so, does not make something more true

For those touchy feely types out there who may think I am attacking a little boy by not believing his story: Where is it written in The Bible that we have to believe everything that comes along? Are we not told to test all things? That would include whatever comes out of the mouths of anyone, and yes, that includes children as well. Do I believe he is lying? I can not say. Do I believe he may have had some kind or experience. Possibly. The point is this>>> His experience (true or not) does NOT line up with the Word of God. Please do not tell me how his book blessed you. Or gave you peace. If so, then you have put this book above the Word of God. John tells us in Revelation what heaven is like. Why do we need more than the Word? We do not.

As far as peace, the Word of God says, “He will keep in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Him (God).” NOT if you find the right books to read.

As you watch the video, ask yourself do you really believe this little child at the time knew absoultely nothing about his dead sister. Think about this…we here things all day long. Even in passing. Things stay in our sub-conscious only to be awaken at a later date. No one can tell me he never heard his parents talking about his dead sister. It only makes seense that the parents would talk about their lost child. And yes, that means in the presence of a 3 or 4 year old. So, I think they lie when they say he knew nothing about her.

The same about his grandfather who he had never met. Do you think for one moment these parents NEVER showed their son a picture of his deceased grandfather?

Jesus had “sea-blue eyes.” Uh yeah, right. Does not quite fit the image of a man who was a Jew, now, does it? Why do all the jesus’s have blue eyes? Sorry, I don’t buy it.

“And a smile that lit up the heavens.” Trite at the very least.

The parents can say this is not about money, but it is. There is a lot to gain by having a best seller. Money, fame, etc.

I find it very odd that they use almost word for word the very same title that Choo Thomas did for her book, “Heaven is so real.” What would be the purpose of this? It would be very easily found in any search engine after CT already blazed the trail ahead of them.

The world is being primed for massive deception, people. These so-called heaven experiences are just one more thing to make people hunger — not for the things of God — but for experiences. Think about it.

“Heaven is for Real.” Is it Biblical?

In light of the many stories out there (that I believe are either being fabricated or just plain delusional) I found this at:

http://momsinneedofmercy.blogspot.com/2011/03/heaven-is-for-real-astounding-tale-of.html

I recently read Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back, because I was given a copy by a family member. The book, written by Todd Burpo—a pastor in Nebraska—tells the story of his son Colton’s experience during surgery following a ruptured appendix. Although the surgery was completely normal—Colton never flat-lined and the operative report showed nothing unusual—Colton, who was four at the time, claimed months after surgery that he had gone out of his body and taken a trip to heaven for “three minutes” while on the operating table. The book reveals the details he shared about his heavenly visit.

Although encouraged to see how God spared the Burpo’s little boy’s life and provided for their medical bills, thumbing through the book, I was immediately alarmed by what I was reading.

I am so thankful we are grounded in a biblical church, and that I know my Bible well enough to know that his tale is not in line with what the Bible teaches. At the same time, I am deeply disturbed that so many people are reading this book (it is a New York Times #1 bestseller) and coming away thinking it’s an accurate, theologically sound picture of heaven. Far from it.

I am also deeply troubled that Colton’s own father is a pastor and never once refutes Colton’s claims with Scripture. He backs them up with Scripture when they conveniently seem to support Colton’s stories, but he never tells readers who may have limited theological or biblical understanding that the Bible presents a different picture from his son on certain topics, such as his son’s report that all people except Jesus fly with wings and that the angel Gabriel sits on a throne to the left of God the Father. People are being misled by this book and are basing their views of heaven on what Colton says and the new information he presents.

For Colton’s story of his trip to heaven to be true, it must agree with what Scripture teaches about heaven. If it doesn’t, either the Bible is wrong, or Colton’s story is wrong. Since no one else seems to be doing it, let me provide the Scriptural evidence to disprove some of Colton’s most troublesome, Scripturally inaccurate claims.

1) Colton claims people have wings in heaven.

Page 72: Todd Burpo writes,

“So what did the kids look like? What do people look like in heaven?”
“Everybody’s got wings,” Colton said.
Wings, hugh? “Did you have wings?” I asked.
“Yeah, but mine weren’t very big.” He looked a little glum when he said this.
“Okay…did you walk places or did you fly?”
“We flew. Well, all except for Jesus. He was the only one in heaven who didn’t have wings. Jesus just went up and down like an elevator.”
If you look up references to wings in the Bible, you will find passages conveying biblical truths using bird metaphors. Isaiah 40:31 talks about how those who “hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;” Jesus says in Luke 13:34 that he longed to gather his people to him like a “hen gathers her chicks under her wings.” Birds were created with wings. Man was created in God’s image (Genesis 1), without wings.

In 1 Corinthians 15:35-58, Paul writes about the resurrection body. He says, “All flesh is not the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another.” God created us in His image (Genesis 1), as men and women, with a human body, not as a bird with wings. Paul also writes, “And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven” (1 Cor. 15: 49).

Our bodies will be resurrected, like Christ’s. Therefore, if Jesus does not have wings, we will not have wings. Also, in the description of heaven, Revelation 21:24 says, “The nations will walk by its light.” Notice the word “walk”—not fly.

Further, in the account of Jesus’ transfiguration in Matthew chapter 17, when the disciples saw Moses and Elijah, they recognized them. “Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, ‘Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah” (Matthew 17:4). No mention of them having wings.

Jesus’ resurrected body did not include a set of wings, and we are told we will be like Him.

2) Colton claims people have lights over their heads in heaven.

Page 73:

“Everyone kind of looks like angels in heaven, Dad.”
“What do you mean?”
“All the people have a light above their head.”
Todd Burpo goes on to cite what he claims to be Scriptural evidence of lights over one’s head, using the examples of the angel appearing to Mary Magdalene at Jesus’ tomb (that his appearance was like lightning), Stephen’s face as “bright as an angel’s” during his stoning, and John writing in Revelation about a mighty angel with a “rainbow over his head,” and that the angel’s face “shone like the sun.”

It seems that what Colton was trying to describe was a halo, which the Bible does not say exists, but is depicted in virtually all children’s Bible stories, Renaissance art, and other drawings that a four-year old would most likely have been exposed to—even though his dad (who is a pastor) says he was not exposed to pictures like this.

The description given in the book of Revelation of those in heaven is that they are wearing “fine linen, white and clean.” (Revelation 21:14). No mention of lights above heads. Either it’s new and extrabiblical, or it’s a made-up story from an imaginative kid.

3) Colton claims Jesus has a rainbow horse and that he got to pet him. (page 63).

When the Bible talks about Jesus with a horse, the horse mentioned is always white. (Revelation 19:11, 14).

4) Colton’s depiction of God’s throne.
This is Colton’s account:

Page 100:

“Well, what did God’s throne look like?” [asks his dad]
Colton: “It was big, Dad…really, really big, because God is the biggest one there is…And do you know that Jesus sits right next to God?…Jesus’ chair is right next to his Dad’s!”
Todd Burpo:
“It was another one of those moments when I thought, He had to have seen this…’Well, who sits on the other side of God’s throne?’”
Colton: “Oh, that’s easy Dad. That’s where the angel Gabriel is. He’s really nice.”
Todd writes, “Gabriel. That makes sense,” and then cites Luke chapter 1, when Gabriel foretells John the Baptist’s birth and says, ‘I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God…’
“So I’d had my glimpse into God’s throne room, but Colton’s descriptions had me wondering: if God the Father was seated on his throne with Jesus on his right and Gabriel on his left, where was Colton?”…
“Where did you sit, Colton?” I asked.
Colton: “They brought in a little chair for me, he said smiling. “I sat by God the Holy Spirit.”
“What does God look like?” I said. “God the Holy Spirit?”
Colton furrowed his brow, “Hmm, that’s kind of a hard one…he’s kind of blue.”
He then goes on to claim that’s where he met his Dad’s grandpa, sitting by the Holy Spirit.

So that’s what Colton says about the throne room of heaven. This is what the Bible says:

First, though, let’s not forget all the Scriptures that tell us that God the Father is invisible. (“The Son is the image of the invisible God.”–Col. 1:15; Jesus: “No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known”–John 1:18).

So how could Colton have possibly seen God the Father, and can he–the God of the Universe–possibly be contained to a “really big throne”?

If that’s not enough, let’s look at a biblical description of heaven’s throne room:
Revelation chapter 4:

“After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven…At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian. A rainbow, resembling an emerald, encircled the throne. Surrounding the throne were 24 other thrones, and seated on them were 24 elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumbles and peals of thunder. Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God. Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.’ Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the 24 elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: ‘You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (Revelation 4: 1-11).
There is also another account of the Lord seated on his throne in Isaiah 6:1-4, which corresponds with the Revelation account.
Neither of these accounts resemble Colton’s account to any degree.

5) Colton claims to have seen Satan in heaven, which was revealed three years after his supposed “trip” to heaven, ironically after watching the battle scene in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

Page 132:

Colton’s mom: “Well, I guess that’s one thing you didn’t like about heaven—no swords up there.”
“There are too swords in heaven!” he said.”
“Um…okay. Why do they need swords in heaven?”
“Mom, Satan’s not in hell yet,” Colton said, almost scolding. “The angels carry swords so they can keep Satan out of heaven!”…
Dad: “Hey, Colton…” “Did you see Satan?”
“Yeah, I did,” he said solemnly.
The rest of the page goes on to describe how Colton shut down and never did want to talk about seeing Satan.

He also claimed that he saw the coming great battle known as Armaggedon—that, “in heaven, the women and the children got to stand back and watch” the future battle while the men fight.

Refuting these claims is a bit more involved, as doing so requires a comprehensive biblical theology about heaven, evil, Satan, and his eternal doom. But let me begin with Isaiah 14: 12, which says,

“How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star,…You have been cast down to the earth…”
Some scholars believe this refers to Satan. Scholars also believe that Ezekiel 28 offers information about the fall of Satan, through allegory with the king of Tyre.

Jesus said in Luke 10:18 that He saw “Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12 about a time when he was caught up to the third heaven.

“Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know–God knows. And I know that this man—either in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—was caught up to paradise. He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell.” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4).
Paul refuses to speak of them but says they were wondrous. Would angels walking around on patrol to keep evil out be your version of paradise?

That is also certainly not the vision of heaven portrayed in John’s vision, recorded in the book of Revelation:

“And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
‘Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down….Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows his time is short.’ When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child…Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” (Revelation 12:7-17).
Numerous passages present that Satan lost his place in heaven and was “hurled down” to the earth, along with his fallen angels. While he may be “roaming throughout the earth” (Job 1:7), Scripture also says that until he is bound for eternity, Satan maintains access to God. In the words of my pastor, Jack Olsen:

“Rev. 12:10 says he accuses the brethren before our God day and night. There is some debate about where to place this passage chronologically, but I believe this describes a yet future casting of Satan out of heaven for good. He was cast out of his original position in heaven (Ezek. 28:16), but still has limited access to accuse the brethren before God (also Job 1:6).”
For a clear picture of the eternal heaven, we can look at Revelation chapter 21:

“There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Rev. 21:4).

“Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” (Revelation 21: 27).

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” (Rev. 22:14, 15).
In conclusion, I fully agree that heaven is for real. But since there are so many elements of his story that contradict Scripture, Colton didn’t take a real trip to heaven. Besides, his operative report (included in the book) shows he never left his body. This isn’t being passed off as a “vision,” or a possibly fictitious story from a then four-year old. (Besides, kids have great imaginations and have a hard time distinguishing fantasy from reality). It’s being passed along as fact. That’s where the problem lies. If you want a true peek at heaven, check out the Bible.

“This is what the Lord Almighty says: Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they will fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.” (Jeremiah 23:16).

“Heaven is For Real” – But not because Colton Burpo says so

Following article gotten here.

http://responsivereiding.com/2011/03/18/heaven-is-for-real-a-review/

I know I’m going to be seen by some as a party pooper in this review – but bear with me. I think this little book raises from serious questions we DO need to ask.

That said – let me plunge on into it.

Heaven is For Real, is the (supposed) account of Colton Burpo – son of Todd Burpo, a pastor in Imperial Nebraska. When I use the word “supposed” in parentheses above, I do not wish to imply that there is any kind of fraud being perpetrated in this story. I use it only because a lot of what is reported in the book (beyond the verifiable historical facts), is all dependent upon what may or may not be the genuine experience, or dreams, or hallucinations or combinations of these – of 4 year old Colton Burpo. I do not use it either to impugn the sincerity of the Burpo family in any way. I use it because “experiences” are tricky things. And how we interpret our experiences may or may not be accurate. And herein rests a key problem with this little -quick reading and fun book.

The story line is pretty simple, and there appears to be no question regarding the general circumstances themselves. Due to an undiagnosed (for 5 days) burst appendix in little Colton (who by all accounts seems to be an utterly charming and normal little guy), the lad nearly lost his life. Sometime later, after his (by all accounts) miraculous recovery – Colton begins to let slip certain facts about an experience he relates as having had while so gravely ill. The experience ultimately being uncovered as some indeterminate (though by Colton’s reckoning – 3 minutes, be it Earth or Heaven time) amount of time spent in Heaven. I will not labor the reality that much is made of Colton’s high fever issues during his illness – but nothing of how such things effect dreams and perceptions.

As the next several years unfold, Colton relates to his parents how he saw his long deceased grandfather there (ending long speculation on whether or not he ever became a Christian), his miscarried older sister he presumably knew nothing about until he saw her there and wrestled with why she had no name (but whom later he has a very emotional sense of missing), Jesus, Jesus’ horse, lots of other children and animals and even (inserted with special reference by Todd for his Catholic friends) the Virgin Mary, assorted animals and lots of people with wings.

The book goes on to catalog the blessing all of this has been to Todd, his wife and many others. Why? And please – I need to say this firmly, but completely without malice: Because Colton’s “revelations” seem to meet some need in them, that God’s own Word through the ministry of the Holy Spirit cannot or does not. They seem to need categories of information God does not seem to have found necessary to reveal previously. And this makes me ask a lot of other questions.

Now I read a lot of books. I do so for various reasons. Some I read just for personal enjoyment. Others because I think they are important to the ministry. Still other because they simply interest me – but quite a number because people either ask me about them, and/or I think they may be books which will become part of the Evangelical landscape and thus need perused and analyzed somewhat given my own pastoral role. Heaven is for real fits this last category. I had no interest in the book personally, and would have passed it over but that I’ve been asked by several people what I think about it. It is a book also that is gaining a lot of pop-Christian attention, and thus it seemed prudent.

To be honest however, I come to books like this (dealing with near-death, death or supernatural experiences) with a load of skepticism. Why? Simple. Because the only authoritative book on these subjects – especially Heaven, has already been written – by God. And if we needed something more on this topic, the proper way to proceed (on safe ground anyway) is to carefully study what the Scripture has already revealed on it. I would suggest something like Randy Alcorn’s “Heaven”; or drawing from an earlier age – Richard Baxter’s “The Saint’s Everlasting Rest.”

You see, we are never to draw our theology from experiences. Instead, it is God’s Word, and the theology in it which is to be used to interpret our experiences. Whenever the experience cart gets in front of the Scriptural horse – speculation, rather than revealed truth rules the day. And when that happens, we slowly undermine the authority of Scripture, and will inevitably undermine our own faith. How so? Because faith, real, Biblical, saving, soul-affirming faith, can only be a by-product of the revelation of God and His character, or trust in His promises IN His Word.

This then is THE primary problem I see with this (in and of itself) innocuous little tome. The problem is NOT whether Colton might have had some genuine sort of experience of Heaven or not. The problem is (as is evidenced both in the book itself several times – AND by one or two people I’ve spoken with personally) that we are willing to find more comfort and encouragement about the reality of Heaven and some of its supposed features – from the subjective experience of a gravely ill little boy – than we are from the Bible and God’s own revelation of these things. It is as though the Holy Spirit’s revelation is inadequate for us.

The problem isn’t as much with the book and its material itself – the problem is what it reveals about us! That we know so little of what the Bible teaches about this subject, and are so little interested what God has to say about it – or are so little comforted by it – that we will find our hope rather in Colton’s experience.

So, if you have read the book, and have found your “faith” bolstered by it or your soul encouraged by it, my question to you is – Why? Why not the Bible? Why this story – and not the authoritative one? What does this say about your own attitude toward Scripture? What does it say about your understanding of Scripture? What does it say about your approach to truth – and how it is found, discerned and processed? Why does this strike a chord with you God’s own Word to you does not?

So, would I recommend the book? Not really. But neither would I say one shouldn’t read it. While it is truly light on the Gospel (especially in light of its declaration that the meaning of the Cross – indeed the gospel is summarized by Jesus saying “I had to die on the cross so that people on earth could come see my Dad” – true enough but notice how it side-steps the sin issue altogether) – I reiterate that it is not its content I find disturbing. That is – IF – one takes it for what it is – just a 4 year old’s subjective experience. Perhaps a fever, or medicinally or physiologically induced experience. Who knows?

The BIG question one must ask themselves is HOW do I respond to this – and WHY?

Believing the Devils lies more than God’s Truth

RedeemedHippie: Please be aware I will not be allowing comments who still want to defend Choo Thomas. If you need further explanation, find the sidebar on the right that addresses this issue.

What’s it like to go to heaven? Paul an apostle went and gave no description to the church. John was there and gave but a few details. Apparently these were not enough for a people that are supposed to be trained to walk by faith on earth; that is why Jesus chose new believer Choo Thomas to write her “NEW book” on going to heaven.

Choo claims that she became a Christian in 1992, “I literally fell in love with Jesus after I went to church a few times and I wanted to give every area of my being to Him the rest of my life.”

Two years later, she saw Jesus’ visible presence at a Neighborhood Assembly of God in Tacoma, Washington and in 1995, she began having physical manifestations from the Holy Spirit. In 1996, the Lord Jesus escorted Choo into heaven and told her to record what she has seen and heard, bringing forth the book, “Heaven is so Real”.

This book was published in October, 2003. The forward is by the “REV. DR.” Yonggi Cho of Korea (this presents a problem immediately to anyone aware of Cho’s teachings- he mixes Christianity with Buddhism and new age concepts). Dr. Yonggi Cho translated her book over two months. “So, the day the book was printed, and it exploded in Korea and is number one bestseller there. And almighty God using Dr. Youggi Cho such awesome way. He has almost 800, 000 members in his church, so God is using him for this book, he chose him for this book.”

This book has found itself in the top 10 of Christian charismatic books. It is an international bestseller in the year it was published. On her website – the September issue of Charisma and Christian life magazine the book “Heaven is so real” is listed as #7 in the top 10 sellers of Christian Charismatic books.

This is very disappointing to hear how gullible and naïve charismatics can be. To buy this book and believe its content is outrageous because it’s an obvious fraud. What alarms me is how one can present a truth from the bible and call their experience the word from Jesus and make their experience the superior truth.

Choo Thomas also sings Holy Songs (Heavenly songs) Choo Thomas’ spirital song, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is now available for download. The song is 1 hour long.

The singing sounds like some new age mantra. I’m not sure what language this is in, if it is a language or just eerie sounds –in some ways it is reminiscent of Yoko Ono. Listen to this for an a hour and you will have entered a altered state. She also has holy dancing after her trips to Heaven and Hell

Her website links and promotes Rick Joyner’s book the Final Quest; Mary Baxter’s book the Divine Revelation of Hell; 23 minutes in Hell by Bill Wiese as well as others of this sort. What is also linked to Choo Thomas’ website is Dr. Aiko who is pictured with Yonngi Cho and Jack Hayford. What she has to say is also a blend of new age concepts, other religious ideas with Christianity (i.e. laser prayers).

From the start, none of this is healthy for someone who wants the truth found in God’s word from His mouth. We are in an outbreak of new age assaults and lying signs and wonders- people are going to heaven more often than the space shuttle goes to space. It is all very Unbelievable- and I will prove it.

A Vision And the Fire of God

She says “I received the fire of the Holy Spirit while I was praying at home in January 1994. About a month later, I saw the Lord’s presence while I was worshiping at the Neighborhood Assembly of God in Tacoma,

Washington. He was sitting by the pulpit. His legs were crossed, and I could see Him as clearly as a real person, except I couldn’t see His face. As I perceived Him, He had silky white hair and was wearing a pure white robe. His person was visible to me for almost five minutes. After seeing Him my body was on fire with unspeakable joy, and I became wholeheartedly committed to Jesus. Soon after this life-changing experience, my family and I began attending Puget Sound Christian Center in Tacoma, Washington.

The Lord sitting at the pulpit with his legs crossed? She is the only one to see him in his special appearance!

Her testimony is revealing because she describes herself “watching a Benny Hinn crusade on television, I stood up and lifted my hands in prayer. Then I fell on the floor for almost three hours. The anointing of God’s Holy Spirit was so strong that I couldn’t get up, and all I could do was sing and talk in tongues and laugh”

It is Benny Hinn who continually talks about seeing the Lord when he prays, and he has appeared in his room. So it is not surprising to see the affect of his influence on those who adore him.

Hinn says: I really believe it was the moment that God began moving in my life….I saw Jesus walk into my bedroom.  He was wearing a robe that was whiter than white and a deep red mantle was draped over the robe.”

“When I talk to the Lord, He comes, … most times, I see Him wearing a blue, beautiful, almost like a – like a silkish looking garment. And under it would be a white garment. Sometimes I’d see Him wear white and a scarlet garment…”

Those who follow mystics like Hinn can certainly have the same spiritual delusion operating in their lives, it is catchy.

Choo tells us, through a prophetic utterance given by a pastor named Larry Randolph, God spoke directly to me on December 3, 1995. Pastor Randolph prophesied:

I saw the blessing of the Lord in the realm of prophetic ministry and the Lord opening your spirit in a great way to prophetic ministry, dreams and words of knowledge . . . I saw the Lord speaking to you in the night seasons, between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. . . . [He will] begin to awaken you and visit you, give you dreams, visions and insight . . . God told me that you’re one of the daughters that He’s put His Spirit upon to prophesy.

(Pastor Randolph at Puget Sound Christian Center in Tacoma, Washington)

She states as he spoke “my body began to shiver and quake under the power of God. she then says I was reminded of the words of the prophet Joel: Joel 2:28–30 she wondered, if she was to be one of the Lord’s special maidservants who would see wonders in heaven and earth? What an honor to be selected as a vessel of the Lord’s love, grace and power in these last days.”

She explains Pastor Randolph: It’s not showing off what God gives you; it’s keeping secrets. God’s going to tell you things about people that you’ll never tell people. You’ll pray for and intercede [for them], and hold them up in prayer because you’re going to be a friend of God—and that’s a true prophet. It’s just a friend of God. A friend of God. He’s going to tell you secrets about other people’s lives and about things He’s doing in the earth. So, get ready in 1996 for a fresh anointing of the prophetic to come upon your life. And in the new year, as you wait before the Lord, God’s going to put a fresh Spirit upon you, an anointing of prophecy is going to come upon you.”

By this prophecy and other events she is being led into an area she is unable to cope with correctly. Instead of the secrets of people being revealed, which would be overwhelming enough, she is given something far more grave – going to heaven. Not once but 17 times.

She admits “I didn’t do any full-time church work or know many of God’s words, but He chose me for His special work anyway. By showing me heaven and all the other visions I have been privileged to experience, He began to prepare me for the ministry He has called me to” (p.3 On Heaven’s Road)

Convinced she is chosen to have a special work before she is grounded in God’s word does present an immediate problem. The stage is set for her to be used by a supernatural experience that will not coincide with the Bible at all but will become an influence to other non-grounded people in the church.

A message from Choo Thomas regarding “Heaven is so Real” she writes:

Dear Pastor and Readers,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus.
Heaven is so Real is our Lord’s end time book. He only used my body to write this book. He wants all believers and unbelievers to read it and prepare for His coming.”

She goes on to say He also said, that any pastor who reads this book, must share it with their congregations. He wants all the church body to see His face when we get to heaven.” Are we to be depenedent on her book to have people get to heaven? What happened to reading the Bible. It seems that every person who supposedly goes to heaven (or hell) has the same statments – read my words. As if their new revelation supercedes the one Jesus gave his appointed apostles. Who of his church body is not going to heaven? This makes no sense for Jesus to say this.

She also says “and showed me hell twice. He also showed me things during the time of the tribulation, after He took His people to heaven.” After the end of all these visions, He showed me the rapturing. When you read this book you will see how the Lord took care of this book from the beginning to end of publishing.
I only wrote down what He showed me and told me. This book is a great tool for the salvation of souls.”

Again, what about using the Bible? She also gives testimony of all the people being brought to the Lord from her book. This is self- engratiating. She talks about her nine year old granddaughter who read this book and is continually talking about this book to others. … “She is so anointed by this book that she started with Genesis and is reading the whole Bible. “

Maybe she should have started with the Bible before this book! By the way how do you get anointed from a book? I wonder if she even understands what the anointing is.

In her epilogue she states: “I believe so many readers have felt that they have been with Jesus in heaven and had seen the things the Lord showed me with this book. That is why they received an anointing from this book.”We receive the Holy Spirit from a book! Especially one other than the Bible- the Bible says Jesus is the baptizer of the Holy Spirit and wants us to believe and live the words He gave through His apostles. I don’t see any statement from Jesus about others coiming with more revelation from Him for the church at the end of time. What I do read is his warning, that many will come in his name- to decieve, because they are deceived.

She describes supernatural events from reading her book. “Some say strange things happen to their bodies like their stomach getting tight and some received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. All these things are happening to people because it is our Lord Jesus’ book. As He has said this from the beginning, He has put a special anointing on this book so that people will be convicted and transform and He will be everything to them.”

please read this book more than once! If you don’t have a desire to read it, please put your hands on the book and pray in the name of Jesus for His understanding. The devil hates this book because it is Jesus’. I have heard that some people are so hungry for this book, even after they read it several times, they carry it wherever they go. Some, even after reading it, don’t have much to say about it. The reason this really bothers me is because the Lord told me that the only people who will love this book are those who love Him and are ready and waiting for His coming.

Well I have to say that is is pure intimidation to accept her book and I’m going on record calling this fraud. Jesus did not pick this woman and dozens of others who are all essentially saying the same things ABOUT THEIR BOOK) That if you don’t love her words you don’t love Jesus and are not waiting for his coming. That is disgusting to me.

“Our Lord Jesus loves each and every one of us so much that He chose me for this book to give His people one last chance to prepare before He comes for us. For those who don’t know much about the bible, some things are not that clear in the bible; (remember John 14:3) “and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am”. That is the reason He chose me for His end time work.” (end of epilogue quotes).

So in essence she is going to make things clearer with her experience and new revelation that goes beyond the pages of Holy Writ. And we have no choice but accept it or we are not loving the Lord.

This is not even presenting an equality with Scripture but a superiority because Jesus chose her to write it.  In her book she writes “My daughter, you are an End-Times prophetess,’ the Lord told me, “and you are living proof of My Word and My prophecies…” (p. 168). “He wants me to serve as living proof of the Bible and His prophecies, because many people do not believe what they read in the Bible, nor do they believe He is coming soon for His people” (p. 177). “He had shown me how desperate many people are to know the truth about heaven, and I realized emphatically that my book would be the means whereby they could really know” (p.124).

Her book will be the vehicle God will tell people the truth about heaven, is not the Bible able to do this? Of course it is; it has been doing this for thousands of years long before her book came to print.

Here’s more: “Every word in this book is true.  The words of Jesus have been transcribed exactly as He said them to me” (p. 153). Then this should be added to the Bible because it is a direct revelation like John the apostle wrote in the book of Revelation on Jesus. In fact she says this: Like John, I had been called to write, and my mission was the same as his-to let people know that the marriage supper of the Lamb has already been prepared, and blessed are those who are invited to be there on the last day”  (p.129).

If one is claiming that new truth had been communicated by inspiration or experience, they are adding to god’s word. Here, the true Jesus tells us about His final revelation- Revelation 22:18: “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book.”

Her message continues:

“When you read this book, you will know that it is not easy to see our Lord’s face.
“I know how hard it is to enter His Kingdom. Pastors, please read each and every page of this book very seriously for you and your loved ones and believe everything in this book, as it is written, and as you prepare for our Lord’s soon coming and also please promote this book for our Lord’s glory. He spent countless hours with me for this book.”
”Remember, none of our salvations are secure until the end. (A message from Choo Thomas regarding “Heaven is so Real”)

Now that we understand how this book is being lifted up as God’s new word to us, it is implied that we are unable to question its veracity. This is quite arrogant. Your salvation is not secure because she does not see it as being by grace through faith.  She explains “Innocence, trust, purity of heart, fascination, a sense of wonder, belief, joy, happiness, present-moment living-all these are some of the magical qualities of childhood that God wants us to exhibit to GET TO HEAVEN (p. 133).

You may have thought it was by grace and faith through the work of Jesus, but according to the Jesus she met, you are wrong. This is all tied to the new words Jesus gave her about heaven; it’s a catch 22. If you don’t believe her book then you do not have the qualities of a child and are unfit for heaven.

This transcript is of Choo Thomas to heaven is from a video (this needs to be seen to understand her mannerisms and speech) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8642465773795515476&q=Choo+Thomas

The Lord Jesus Himself took me to heaven seventeen times with my transformed body, like when I was 15 or 16 years old. Before this, He prepared everything step-by-step. 1994 He anointed me my entire body with Holy Fire, then a month later, He showed me with His visual presence at the church during worship service. Then 1995, Easter Sunday, He anointed me with shaking body and ever since, my body shakes at the church, during my prayer time. You see, my body is moving back and forth right now, if I don’t do this, my stomach get very tight and it feel like exploding; that’s why I’m moving back and forth. So please don’t think anything wrong with my body. That’s the Holy Spirit doing this because I’m talking about Jesus, that’s why. And then, after this, He baptized me with Holy Spirit, with new tongues, Heavenly songs, Holy Laughter and I was so anointed for three hours and I was on the floor, I couldn’t get up because it was too powerful. After that, few months later, pastor Larry Randolf, he prophesized for me that he told me that the God wants to use me in such a special way. And all his prophecy was come true , thousand times, more. And after this, January, 1996 , Lord Jesus, He was visiting me with His visual presence. And He visited me for 10 times to tell me how He going to use, and the all the things, His plans and He was telling me about it, as in the book. But He didn’t tell me He was going to take me to Heaven. So, after 10 times, February 19, 96, He began to take me to Heaven with my transformed body, like His Spirit body, my body. Each time, before He took me to Heaven, He brought me to the beach, earthly beach. The very first time before he took me Heaven, He took me to one side of the beach He showed me small body of water crystal clear then He showed me huge shiny tunnel. So after that he took me to heaven.”

First she claims Jesus was visiting her with His visual presence 10 times. This is disturbing to hear what she is encountering because it certainly is not Jesus Christ who is at the right hand of the Father.

She commuted to heaven 17 times with her transformed body (but its reversed back each time on earth). I don’t think so! A transformed body means a resurrected body that makes one immortal. According to the Bible all believers get this body at the same time. Even those who are in heaven do not have their transformed body. We have to wait for the resurrection and rapture for the glorified body.

She says of this holy Fire “I received the fire of the Holy Spirit while I was praying at home in January 1994” (A Vision And the Fire of God).

There is no such thing as a holy fire anointing- in fact when one looks this reference up they find the disciples only experienced one baptism (the Bible tells us only one baptism- Spirit Eph.4:5). There is only one mention of this baptism of fire and it is not for believers Matt 3:11-12: “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (also Luke 3:16-17) certainly a reference to Mt.25:41 ( also Mt.3:10; Rev.14:10).

We know this means judgment because John and Jesus explain it: He gathers “the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.”

Luke 3:9, 17: “And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” V.17 “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.”

Jesus said Acts 1:5 “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Only the Holy Spirit is for believers, not the Holy Spirit plus fire. No believer was ever baptized in fire according to the Bible. God can purge things from our live and there are fiery trials but not a baptism of fire sent from heaven.

“the shaking body” she describes corresponds to the Toronto church manifestations that were taking place at this time (which Yonggi Cho prophesied about). “Ever since my body shakes at the church during prayer time

She tells us that it is moving back and forth as seen on the video, if she does not do this her stomach gets very tight and it feel like it will explode, so she must move. This sounds demonically dictated- not a property of the Holy Spirit. Yet she assures people that there is nothing wrong- it is the Holy Spirit doing it because she is talking about Jesus” Yet no one through history ever had this effect from the Holy Spirit when they talk about Jesus (especially in the Bible). The Lord does not make you feel bad in the body to make you move like this. This is a Toronto experience. Each of her visits to heaven are acompanied by violent manifestations in which Choo loses control of her body.

On Easter Sunday 1995 while attending services at Puget Sound Christian Center, my body began to shake violently, and we had to stay for second service. I was experiencing the same phenomenon known among Quakers, Shakers and early Pentecostals. Since then, my body never stops shaking in church or during my prayer time at home.” (this is beginning to sound like Brownsville as well as Toronto)

Here are quotes from the book:

On the night of January 19, the Lord’s presence was so intense in my bedroom that I shook, perspired and felt very weak for more than an hour”  (p. 7) “Because of the trembling of my body that always accompanied the Lord’s visits, Roger was now sleeping in the guest bedroom”  (p. 14) “During the night of February 12, my body shook more violently than it ever had.  I was almost hurled from the bed because it was so forceful.  I tried to grab the sheet to steady myself, but I couldn’t because I had no control over my body.  The shaking was unremittingly forceful, and I grew afraid.” (p. 17)

Her comment of being afraid is astute. She is so convinced this is the Lord that she cannot enetrtain any doubts despite the demonic nature of her exerience. To be hurled from the bed has much to do with the manifestations of the false revivals that have taken place and reminiscient of aka ‘the exorcist’ movie. This loss of control is the opposite effect of what the Holy Spirit does. “Sometimes the power of His anointing on my hands and arms is so strong that I feel as if my hands are actually breaking apart.  One Sunday morning my hand touched my eyes thirty-six times, and before each of these touches, my hands made seven different strange movements” (p. 205).

This is showing that she has a serious spiritual problem. Again, this is founded in the Toronto experience (Vineyard of John Arnott). It comes to no surprise to find out that she visited there and probably got the anointing that was passed on by the laying on hands of one of the leaders. Toronto Vineyard is a church where people were encouraged to act like animals, bark, roar, roll on the floor, cluck like chickens, pretend to fly- besides acting drunk. Not by any means a healthy atmosphere to grow in the truth of God’s word.

She mentions Larry Randolf- he is a Toronto Airport Vineyard leader who is totally involved in the Toronto church – “The thing he (Satan) is threatened by is what we’re carrying in the womb of our spirit: the seed of God… When God processes this thing and we come out the other end, we are going to be a people, one new man in the earth, that are going to exhibit and showcase the Kingdom of God in such a degree that the nations, kings are going to come to our feet and ask of us the things of God” (at the Toronto church, Nov. 18, 1994).

Typical statement from those in Kingdom Now theology. The context of Randolf’s teaching is that this process is taking place now, and the nations will submit to the church.

Maybe Randolph’s prophecy went something like this one “…You haven’t seen anything. God’s women are rising. The spirit of Debra’s falling on the women. The spirit of prophecy is coming upon the women. Signs and wonders and miracles…” (Larry Randolph, Renewal and Revival Today, Toronto Airport Vineyard, November 18, 1994).

She says she was later baptized with the Holy Spirit –having tongues and holy laughter. Again this laughter is not a Bible experience and was a manifestation from the false anointing at Toronto and from Rodney Howard Browne. There is no question there is something else operating here that is NOT the Holy Spirit.

After going through the tunnel, Choo writes:

“The Lord and I walked along the road that came down from the top of the hill. Eventually we reached a huge white gate that stood in front of a large white building. We walked through the gate and proceeded towards the white building. We entered and walked down a long corridor that led to a very large room. Which we entered . As I looked down, I realized for the first time that I was wearing a different robe than I had on at the beach, and I could feel something heavy was resting on my head. I reached up and discovered a beautiful crown had been placed there without my realizing it. Then I looked directly at the Lord. He was sitting on a throne, and He wore a radiant gown and golden crown. Others were there with me, kneeling on the floor and prostrating themselves before Him. The walls of the room were made of large shiny stones that glowed. The multicolored rocks provided an effect that made the room seem warm and happy, as well as mysterious. Then, just as quickly as I had been transported up the mountain and into the white building, I found myself on the beach again”.

This is nothing like what the Bible describes. While others are bowed in adoration she is not. She is able to look the Lord in the face. There is a problem with people who go to heaven have an unveiling of Jesus before the church does. We wait to see him face to face together. Notice that Paul does not say he saw the Lord in heaven, he was not greeted by him or given a tour like so many are today. 2 Cor 12:4: “how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” In fact, He says it is illegal to tell people. He was an apostle, Choo is not.

Choo Thomas: “Very first time He only showed me His throne room. Then after that we came down from heaven and the, we were sitting on the sand on earthly beach. And then He began to talk. He say, We just went to Kingdom of Heaven. The only one who will come there are obedient and pure hearted and He say preaching gospel is very important and He waited for awhile and He say those who don’t tithe, they are disobedient Christians. That was the last word He say the first trip.”

Is this what he tells her after she goes to heaven and sees the throne room!-(is there a throne room?). That one must be obedient to get to heaven and tithing is part of this obedience. This does not sound like the Jesus we know in the bible but parroting a tele-evangelist. Of all the things Jesus would say to the church on disobedience this would hardly be priority, since he does not command us to tithe in the New Testament. So he is contradicting Himself.

Not only do I disbelieve this story but I call it an outright fraud.

“After that, He took me to heaven 16 more times. Each time He took me there, He showed me different things.”

From Choo’s own words Jesus does not teach His own gospel of grace. Thomas tells us a completely new revelation from her journies to heaven. Not every Christian goes to heaven.  “When we got to the top, I looked over a brown and lifeless valley.  Everywhere there was brown.  The whole region seemed to be filled with dead grass.”I noticed multitudes of people who were wearing sand-colored robes roaming aimlessly in the vicinity of the pit’s yawning mouth.   Their heads were hanging low, and they looked very dejected and hopeless. “Who are these people, Lord?” I asked.

“They are disobedient ‘Christians” “How long will they have to stay in this barren, lifeless place?”Forever, My daughter.  The only ones who will enter My kingdom are the pure of heart-My obedient children.”

(p. 46 also p.249)

These people that are lost and are not cast into hell.  Thomas has discovered a third place where people will spend eternity. Like the Roman Catholic purgatory, those who are not obedient and pure enough spend eternity wandering in a desert like place. this makes salvation by works not by grace through faith.

Elsewhere, Thomas tells us some of the conditions for actually getting inside heaven. Over and over again Choo tells us that Jesus told her; that she is His special daughter; to accept these extra biblical revelations.

HOST SPEAKING “Besides experiencing heaven, Choo was also show hell twice.

She described hell vision as follows: I could see fumes and dark smoke rising from a deep pit. It was like the crater of a volcano, and inside I could see flames scorching a multitude of people who were screaming and crying in the kind of agony that only the severely burned truly know.

The people were naked, without hair, and standing close to one another, moving like worms, and the flames were scorching their bodies. There was no escape for those who were captured in the pit-its walls were too deep for them to climb, and hot coals of fire were all around the edges.

The flames would leap out unexpectedly from all directions. People would move away, and then as soon as they seemed to think that they were safe, another fire would burst forth. There was no rest for these unfortunate victims of sin; they were doomed to spend all eternity being scorched and burned as they endeavored to escape the flames of hell. “Who are these people?” I asked. “My daughter, these people did not know Me.”

She then describes another visit, “then, next visiting he showed me another sad thing. It was aborted babies. He took me to this one place it was a huge building. They looked like warehouse. When we walked in it, all I see was babies, tiny, tiny naked babies. And they were lying side by side. Humm, and I began to cry. Lord, why is so many babies. He say, they aborted babies. I said what are you going to do with them. He say If their mother be saved and they come to heaven, they will have their baby back. That was it.

A warehouse full of babies! Now we have God depending on the belief of the mother to save a child who has no say in this. Not a hopeful scenario to something the bible is mostly silent on.

“… He showed me beach, you see daughter how beautiful this beach is, I know my children like this beach and when He took me to fishing, I know my children like fishing, that’s

why I prepare so many things what they like and I realized in heaven is well a thousand times beautiful than on Earth, but a lot of things like on Earth like roads, buildings, trees, bushes, rocks, flowers, rough places outside the kingdom; there are so many things there; but that they are thousand times beautiful on Earthly things, just beautiful. …. That is why He took me there to show what He prepared for His children, so let each and everyone know what heaven is waiting for us, so before He comes, He want all the Christians to know this things, so they can be excited and go there. That is why I believe He showed me these things. He doesn’t tell me everything, you know, thoroughly, He just show me some certain things, just say very few words, necessary words He tells me.

So heaven is just like earth, roads, bushes, beaches, fish. Too bad the Bible mentions none of this. God wrote the Bible and tells us the book of Revelation closes God’s revelation to man.

Choo is tampering with the revelation that specifically reveals Jesus, she puts her book on an equal status.

One must settle the question of who is telling the truth? Jesus of the Bible or the Jesus of Choo Thomas.

She even postedDear Readers,

I am forwarding Sister Shelby Corbitt’s book link about the rapture for 2007.  I know we are not supposed to say the exact year or day or hour, but please don’t judge it too quickly.

There is a housewife who claims that the Rapture will take place this summer.

You might want to read it via the URL below. http://www.2007rapture.com/about/

I don’t have to read it, I already know she is wrong- for the Bible says no man knows the day or hour.

But then she also claimsthe Lord showed me almost countless times visions of the rapture since October 2006 until January 2007.”Then she contradicts this in the next paragraph saying“He hasn’t showed me the rapture vision since May 13th, 1996”

“Well, the end of the visitation was after I took care of the manuscript of the book. Then He brought me to the earthly beach. And we spend about a couple of hours. He told me He will bring me there every Monday. That was May 27, 1996. Ever since, He never missed once, He bring me there every Monday with my transformed body. He wake me up about a few minutes after 12 o-clock every Monday Morning. He shakes my body for 30 minutes, exactly 30 minutes; never less, never more, and His presence shows and His spirit body, my spirit body and we go to the beach. And the, when we go there, you know, He talks mostly, I listen. Then I sing, I dance with my spirit body and this is the best time of my life right now.”

People can choose what to believe, but I can honestly say that if they believe any of her testimony they are not believing what the Bible teaches.

Creation House should be ashamed of promoting such nonsense through a book, is there no discernment left with book publishers?

Choo Thomas tells us “On January 19, 1996, I woke up at 3:00 in the morning. My body was shaking… I turned my head on the pillow to look in the direction of the sound, and there, all aglow, was a figure dressed in white garments. IT WAS THE LORD…”

Going back to the beginning- she has no testing of who this being of light is. From her own words that contradict the Bible it cannot be the Jesus of the Bible. I recommend for people to stop trying to scratch their itching ears for something new and learn directly from the Bible what God has said about these subjects, because this is what Jesus called the truth. Lest they find themselves in the same condition as Choo who has been visited by another Jesus and fulfill what Jesus warned in Matt 24:4: “Take heed that no one deceives you.”

If you say “angel,” why can’t I say “devil”?

There is an occult movement among Christains. Some are seeking signs and wonders in spite of what the Word of God says:

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. – Matthew 12: 38-40 –

NOTE: It was the the Scribes and Pharisees who asked for a sign. Such are the very same ones today doing the very same thing. The true Pharisees of today have twisted the truth in such a way, that if you dare question or challenge them in an area, then you are the Pharisee in their eyes. Bride of Christ, this is straight from hell and a tactic of the enemy. It is meant to intimidate you, to silence you, to keep you from testing things.

The things being called signs and wonders today are such silly and stupid things; gold teeth, angel feathers, gemstones, gold dust – it makes anyone with half a brain wonder if the church truly has gone mad or have they just not grown up. It appears they are stuck in some infantile state preferring spook stories than the unadulterated word of God. Would not surprise me one bit if someone at some point had a word from God saying that we all must suck our thumbs in order to receive a greater revelation.

One of the biggest claims now is orbs. Round balls of light that people are calling angels. Uh, really, now? Where is the proof? Some people are even taking pictures in hopes of catching an orb or two in their photo. This would be silly IF it were not so serious. What makes it serious is people are opening themselves up to the occult. There is absolutely no proof if these things are superantural events or not. Could be the lighting, could be the camera, could be any number of things. Yet Christians everywhere are claiming these things are angels. Well, if you can say angel, why can’t I say devil?

Shock! I can just hear some of you thinking I have committed the unpardonable sin by daring to question. I will ask you, where is the proof? The fact that you may think you feeeeel God’s presence? The fact that others — your special annointed teachers — say so?

Friend, I tell you now whoever you are, if you do not start testing things NOW, far greater delusions will come upon you and you will be primed to BOW before the first false image that comes your way. You are already bowing and do not know it. You are bowing to vain imaginations of false teachers/prophets/preachers each and everytime you take their teaching and not test it.

The following video I put up once before, but in light of the orb thingy, I have put it up again in hopes that some will see and come out from among this deception.

You can go youtube and see all kinds of “orbs.” Some are even in so-called haunted houses. Some are fakes I’m sure. Others? It does not matter. What matters is people seeking out these things. You may as well go to a cemetery late at night and take pictures.

In the video below, whether fake or not, I don’t know.

You say angel, I say devil.

A much better “sign and wonder” than what the apostates have to offer

When I saw this, it reminded me of how today’s Christians are so easily taken in by deception. The following is more believeable than the angel feathers, fake gold dust and the cheap gemstones falling from heaven — all of which can be bought in any craft store. One of the most stupid miracles out there is the gold teeth miracle. Think about it, people: God creates the real deal. Why would He give anyone a gold tooth when only He can make a real tooth? The people following this garbage are creating a fake and lying god for us to follow.

I was rebuked a couple weeks back by friend for not believing the many lies being brought into the church. I have decided no more will I be on the defensive. I am on the offense now with and for the truth. Those of you who are so big in decreeing every little thing in the name of your phony god — here’s one for you: I decree war on your lies.

THIS is what God has to say about your false teachers and lying prophets:

An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land:
The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power;
And My people love to have it so.
But what will you do in the end? — Jeremiah 5:30 –

Enjoy the video. And remember, it is fake. As fake as the lying signs and wonders being committed in the name of a holy God. Except, this sign and wonder is much more entertaining than feathers falling from air ducts.

Wonder how long it will take before some phony in that whore who pretends to be the Bride of Christ tries to create something like this and call it God?

NOTE: I will not be taking comments from those who want to promote or defend this book. The following author has given us more than enough proof of the occult lying spirit behind this book.

by Robert S. Liichow

I am not surprised that people have an interest in the afterlife. Every world religion, cult and sect has its version of what happens after we die and since there is still one death per person due to being sinners it comes as no surprise that the world desperately seeks answers. What does surprise me is how gullible and biblically illiterate multitudes of Christians are regarding this subject.

The vast majority of Christians who purchase these books fall into the category of sign-gift believers, i.e. people of the Pentecostal and charismatic persuasion. Coming from that background I can shed some light as to why these folks are more susceptible to this particular brand of deception. Many (not all) charismatic believers hold to the view that God is still revealing truth to His people, apart from the Bible. While claiming to believe that the Bible is the standard by which they judge all revelations, they readily admit that new revelations are still coming, usually through the so-called restored Apostles or Prophets. What they will not admit is that the Bible is a complete and totally sufficient revelation. According to them God has something more to say.

I remember confronting John Arnott, the Pastor of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship regarding the bizarre and unbiblical manifestations transpiring under his pastoral leadership. I challenged him to prove that what was taking place could be found within the context of Scripture. He responded by attempting to validate the manifestations by using fragments of biblical text without regard to their context. When I challenged him regarding his use of proof texts he switched gears and used what I have since termed the “John 21:25 Argument.” This text reads “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written Amen.” Arnott and the other charismatic extremists cite this text to answer those who question their new doctrines or practices. When forced into a corner exegetically they simply respond that what they are teaching or doing is part of the “many other things which Jesus did” that are not recorded for us in the Bible, but God in these last days is revealing them to us!

This is philosophically called – an argument from silence, there is no way of biblically validating such claims ergo we are told to accept them based on the sole authority of the person(s) making them. Thus the restored prophet or apostle becomes the authority over the new doctrines and practices and not the Bible. To question them is to doubt the work of God in the end times and to demand biblical precedents simply proves that we are undoubtedly of a Pharisaical spirit and are steeped in legalism.

All of the accounts regarding alleged visits to heaven and hell since the 1800’s in America have been written by either Pentecostal or charismatic believers. This most recent foray into the afterlife is no exception to this fact. The book we are going to consider has sold over 450,000 copies overseas, making it an international bestseller and with the recent full page story in Charisma magazine (whose publisher, Strang Communications, just happens to be owner of Creation House, the publisher of this book) it will no doubt quickly gather steam among the sign-seekers in our own nation.

Throughout this article I will be citing the page numbers in brackets versus using endnotes. The title is: Heaven Is So Real, Thomas, Choo, Lake Mary, FL: Creation House, 2003.

Who Is Choo Thomas?

Isn’t it interesting that of all the accounts by people claiming to have given a personal tour of heaven (or hell) do not have any theological training whatsoever! In other words, Jesus does not choose someone like Dr. R.C. Sproul, Dr. H. Wayne House, Dr. Marquart or any other theologians to give a personal visit of the heavenly realms too. Instead, He chooses people with little to no biblical education or knowledge whatsoever, like Choo Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas is a Korean-American, her parents are deceased, and she is married and has two grown children (p1). She says she became a Christian in February, 1992 and from that moment on she began to skyrocket into the upper realms of personal holiness “I could only think about Jesus every waking moment,” (p.1). Two years later she says she received “the fire of the Holy Spirit” while she was praying at home in January, 1994. After this experience she had her first vision of Jesus sitting by the pulpit at her local Assembly of God in Tacoma, WA (p.2).

What Does Choo’s Jesus Look Like?

It is interesting but almost everybody’s heavenly encounter with our resurrected Lord differs as to their descriptions of what Jesus looks like. According to Choo this is how Jesus looks:

He was sitting by the pulpit. His legs were crossed, and I could see Him as clearly as a real person, except I couldn’t see His face. As I perceived Him, He had silky white hair and was wearing a pure white robe. His person was visible to me for almost five minutes. After seeing Him my body was on fire with unspeakable joy, and I became wholeheartedly committed to Jesus. (p.2)

Unfortunately, no one else saw “Jesus” during this service or any other time throughout her book. Being married to an African-American woman for over twenty years I can tell you I know the difference between silky (straight) and wooly (kinky hair. According to the Book of Daniel (Dan. 7:9) and the Book of Revelation, Jesus Christ has hair “like as wool” (see Rev. 1:14) which any woman can tell you is far from silky. Beyond this minor detail what is troubling is that Jesus appears to this woman for no apparent reason, He is simply “there.” Every time the Lord appeared either in an Old Testament theophany or in the New Testament (Stephens stoning in Acts 7:59; Paul’s conversion in Acts 9:4; or John on Patmos in Rev. 1:12) it was for a specific purposes in the economy of God. As we shall see, Choo’s role is pivotal in God’s end-time redemptive plan. Beyond seeing this apparition and feeling her body of fire with joy nothing else transpired but 100% commitment to Jesus.

Before delving deeper into Choo’s delusion let me just say that there is no such thing biblically as a baptism of fire. She says she had some physical experience in 01-94 which she interpreted as “the fire of the Holy Spirit,” yet there is no support exegetically for such a claim. It is after this vision that things begin to become very bizarre in Mrs. Thomas’ life.

A Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On aka Choo is Special!

As of Easter Sunday, 1995 Choo enters into (and she has not stopped to this day) the realm of charismatic extremist manifestations. While she and her family were attending their AOG church in Puget Sound she states:

…my whole body began to shake violently, and we had to stay for second service. I was experiencing the same phenomenon known among Quakers, Shakers and early Pentecostals. Since then, my body never stops shaking in church or during my prayer time at home. Two weeks after this Easter Sunday experience, I received the gift of tongues while at home and began to sing in the Spirit. While watching a Benny Hinn crusade on television, I stood up and lifted my hands in prayer. Then I fell on the floor for almost three hours. The anointing of God’s Holy Spirit was so strong that I couldn’t get up, and all I could do was sing and talk in tongues and laugh. During every worship service after that, I could see the presence of the Lord Jesus in church. (p2)

Please note that Mrs. Thomas is a very special person which she shall make abundantly clear to all of us as we progress. The church she was attending obviously had been involved in the Toronto Blessing aka The Pensacola Outpouring because neither the pastor nor anyone else thought her shaking was out of the ordinary. What is out of the ordinary is that this shaking occurs whenever she is in a church service or even praying at home. She also claims to have received the gift of other tongues while alone at home. Apart from the debate as to the validity of this gift today, the general manner in which 99.9% of all Pentecostal and charismatic believers receive this gift is through the laying on of someone else’s hands or during a congregational meeting. Very few people attest to receiving this gift at home, and without dispute no one in the book of Acts received any of the spiritual gifts apart from the presence and/or the ministry of one or more of the Apostles.

Choo seems to indicate that she received this gift while watching a Benny Hinn crusade on television, this is very problematic considering the facts about Mr. Hinn since he is a false prophet, false teacher and proven liar. Also her statement about being slain in the spirit for almost 3 hours seems more demonic than divine. She states that she could not get up, something she stresses throughout her book, and all she could do was sing, talk in tongues and laugh. She attributes this experience to the anointing of the Holy Spirit being heavy upon her. As taught and practiced by today’s sign-gift believers there is biblically no such thing as being slain in the spirit. More importantly, the Holy Spirit gives us self-control (see Gal. 5:23 and 2 Peter 1:6). He does not possess us to the extent where we are physically paralyzed yet according to Choo this is exactly how the Spirit ministers to her. After this possession, which is what I consider it to be, her spiritual eyes are opened and from this point on she could see the presence the Lord in every worship service.

I will not go into the history of these aberrant “revivals” and their attending manifestations. I have covered them in the fullest detail avail in my 2 books “Blessing or Judgment” and “Two Roots of Today’s Revival.”

Obviously, Choo is the yielded vessel through whom God is about to do a great work, a theme she hammers home throughout her book. This preparatory work is ratcheted up by the Lord after her Easter 1995 experience. On January 19, 1996 the Lord wakes her in the early morning and personally visits her. Before each visit the Lord causes her body to shake and perspire for close to an hour, and then the apparition speaks and appears to her.

I turned my head on the pillow to look in the direction of the sound, and there, all aglow, was a figure dressed in white garments. The radiance that emanated from this unknown visitor was so brilliant that I could not see His face, but in my heart of hearts I knew that I had been blessed with a special visitation from the Lord. (p.7).

How did she know this was Jesus?  She “knew” in her heart of hearts. I guess she never was taught that Satan masquerades as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14) or that our Lord Himself warned that many will come saying “I am he Christ” (Matt. 24:5). This figure speaks the following words to her “My daughter, Choo Nam, I am your Lord, and I want to talk to you. You have been My special daughter for a long time,” (p.7). According to her own chronology she has been saved about 4 years when this occurs, not much of a “long time” in my book. Don’t lose sight of how Choo’s Jesus calls her His special daughter, Choo is special! He goes on to reveal to her “Daughter you are such an obedient child, and I want to give you special gifts. These gifts are going to serve Me greatly. I want you to be happy about these gifts,” (p.8). Because of her total obedience to the Lord, He has chosen to give her special gifts and He wants her to be “happy” about them.

I knew at that moment God was choosing me to do an important work for Him and that this must become my single-minded purpose…I have known since then that when my body begins to shake from the inside out that God will be speaking to me…God has chosen me for a specific work. It was too wonderful to imagine…(p.8).

The same experience happens again the next morning and this time as she shakes and sweats the Lord explains the reason He must do this to her: “You are my precious daughter…I am giving you the power that you will need for the work I’ve called you to do. I am preparing you to serve Me. Your body shakes as the power flows into you. I am giving you all the spiritual gifts. I am releasing your spirit so you will be completely free to serve Me. (p. 10).

Now we know when we see someone shaking and sweating it is because of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We are witnessing God pouring His power into some one for a special purpose. He is working to release his or her spirit so that yielded vessel can serve Him! Choo explains it this way to us:

The shaking continued for twenty minutes. I began to view it as being like a spiritual transfusion. The power of the Holy Spirit was coursing through every nerve, sinew, muscle and organ of my body. It was setting me on fire with the power of God. (p.11).

He then explained the shaking in my body. “Your body shakes for a long time because you need power for this work. I want you to expect many surprises.” (p.17).

Shaking equals power in Choo’s world and few charismatic extremists would argue that point with her. The problem with these statements is that there is not one shred of biblical proof to backup such a claim. Everything in her book is based on her own subjective pseudo-spiritual experience. Choo does not make a strong appeal to the scriptures. Instead she continually points to herself as being Jesus’ “special daughter.”

“I know you do not know many things, but I see that you are pure-hearted. I know that you believe everything about Me. I’ve seen your obedience, and I know you fear My words. (p.80).

Because of her high degree of sanctification and her unwavering belief concerning everything about Himself He chooses her for this great end-time work.

You are living your life completely for Me. Your heart has willingly given up all worldly things for Me. I now know that nothing brings satisfaction to you more than being in My presence. (p.84).

Choo has become totally heavenly-minded. She has reached sinless perfection because one would have to be totally sinless to live his or her life completely for Christ, without any thought of self. She has reached a level of perfection that even surpasses the Apostle Paul who said that he had not obtained (read Phil. 3:12) perfection and was still striving to reach it.

Whoever permits Me to control their life will be blessed. These are My obedient children. You are My special child.” (p.93).

Choo’s life is blessed because she is one of the obedient children, which makes her special.

Daughter, you are special to Me…I choose My children who are pure and obedient — those who put Me first in their lives. (p.107).

She gets confused here because she stated earlier that the Lord had told her He had chosen her for this work before the foundation of the world. Yet now her Jesus reveals to her that He choose His children based on their purity of heart and obedience, people who put Jesus first in their lives. It is by our works, whether of personal sanctification or obedience to the law and putting Jesus first. (which in and of itself is fine) that determines the Lord choosing us or not.

If you were not such a special daughter, I could not bring you to heaven to show you all the things you have seen. (p.11).

Obviously Thomas is such a special daughter because if she was not then Jesus could not have brought her to heaven and shown her all these wonders. The inescapable inference is that the vast majority of Christians are not special to the Lord because He has not given them this foretaste of heaven. Choo is special, you and I are not.

You are very special to Me. You must believe this. I had to choose the right daughter for this important work, and you are the one I’ve chosen. (p. 111).

I am not a psychologist, but it really seems that Choo suffers from delusion of grandeur because the quotes from Jesus deal with how special she is versus revealing unknown truth to the church. Choo is the right daughter for this work, she is the personally chosen one!

This is one of the reasons I love you so much, My daughter.” (p.115).

My daughter, I really enjoy being with you.” (p.125).

You have beautiful hair.” (p. 125).

You are beautiful, My daughter.” (p.125).

Don’t be shy, My daughter,” the Lord counseled. The He lifted my face… (p.125).

Choo and Jesus are on a deserted beach and she is dancing and singing in front of the apparition. One of the reasons Jesus loves her is because of her yielded spirit and devotion, so now we know that Christ’s love is not unconditional, there are reasons why He loves us. Here again I believe we read about her deeply held insecurities because Jesus tells her how much He enjoys being with her, how beautiful her hair is, how beautiful she is! This specific encounter is one of the most sensual and frankly, disgusting of the entire book.

I will bring many of My children to the Kingdom, but not every one will live in mansions like the one that had your name on the door. These mansions are for very special children.” (P.138).

There are 2 classes of Christians in heaven according to Choo’s Jesus. The lower wattage believers will not inherit palaces like Choo’s with her own name in gold on a nameplate on the door. These palaces are reserved for the, you guessed it, the very special children (more on the 2 classes a bit later on).

I didn’t show you the kingdom and the pit of hell to bring you home now. I showed you all those things so you will help save the lost and let everyone know what it takes to enter the kingdom. (p.152).

After seeing her mansion and all the glories of heaven she does not want to go back to earth. Yet her Jesus tells her that He has shown her these things so Choo can help save the lost. What is more she is to let everyone know what it takes (WORKS) to enter the kingdom. Choo has a role in the redemption of the lost and is appointed to tell everyone what it takes to get to heaven. The problem is she does not tell anyone in the book exactly “what it takes.” She surely does not mention that salvation is the gift of God, or that what it takes is the work of Jesus Christ on our behalf. Nor does she point out that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone according to the Scriptures alone.

My daughter, you are an End-Times prophetess.” The Lord told me, “and You are living proof of My Word and My prophecies. (p. 168).

Towards the end of the book we see her role in the Church revealed. She is an end-time prophetess (she told us she was special). She is living proof of the Word and His prophecies! The Bible is not enough “proof”…

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20:31).

The fact that the Holy Spirit bearing witness with our spirits that we are children of God is also insufficient proof (see Rom. 8:16). Nope, we need living proof in the form of sister Choo to believe God’s Word.

He took me to His throne and directed me to sit on a chair next to Him. This was the first time the Lord seated me next to Himself.” (p. 61).

While in heaven she entered into the throne room which is filled with the O.T. prophets and N.T. authors and directed by Jesus to sit next to Him on the throne! The mother of James and John must have really been livid upon finally discovering who the Father was granting the right to sit at Jesus’ right hand. Remember she tired to wheedle her boys into the right and left hand seats in the Kingdom (see Matt. 20:21). Sorry sister, very special Choo is seated next to Jesus not James or John.

There can be no doubt in the readers mind how special Choo Thomas is. It makes sense when you realize how important the work she has been given to do is according to God’s plan for the end-times. His great work for her is to complete the canon of Scripture.

Choo’s Book Is Divinely Authoritative

Choo told us she was special, so special in fact that what she has written for us are the exact words of Jesus Christ. If language means anything, then the revelations in Choo’s book are on the same level as the Holy Bible; in fact, we should cut out the pages and tape them into our Bibles. Keep in mind according to this woman, Jesus appears to her and directly tells her to remember and write down His exact words. If that does not mean her book is to be treated as divine revelation than I do not understand the concept at all. Here are only a few of the statements from her book which prove my point:

I am your Lord, My daughter. I want you to hear and remember everything I tell you. When you write it down, use My exact words. You are sleepy, but do not miss any of the words I tell you. I will be visiting you many times in the future because I have important work for you to do. You are the child I am going to use to do this work for Me, so be prepared.” (p. 11).

Then He reiterated something He had commanded me to do several times before: Write down everything I show you and tell you. (p.21).

The Lord continued: I want you to remember everything I tell you and show you. Make sure you write everything down. I will make sure that everyone understands all the things I show and tell you. (p.28).

I do not want you to miss anything I show or tell you,” He instructed. “Nothing more; nothing less. Everything has to be exactly as I reveal it to you.” (p.36).

My daughter you have much work to do. I want you to write a book. This is an important book for the last days, and it will be translated into many languages. I chose you for this work before you were born, and this is why My Holy Spirit is always shaking your body—to pour My power into you. (p.47).

You do not need to know how to write the book. Just write down what I show you and tell you… (p.70).

Now you know why, My daughter. I want you to concentrate on the book, with no interruptions. This book is very important to Me, and it will be a special blessing for My children. Whatever you do, I want you to talk to Me first. Everything about this book has to be My will. (p.79).

Some people will not believe you, but you don’t need to worry about that. My daughter, I am simply using you for this book. It is My book and I will take care of it.” (p.80).

Because you are what you are, I chose you for this work…This is My book and My responsibility… I want you to be happy because you are My special daughter. (p.80).

This book will help deliver many people who are in spiritual darkness…I notice that you have never been deliberately disobedient since you gave your heart to Me, an you always put Me first in your life. This is why I chose you as My special daughter and friend. (p.92).

Write this down, Choo Nam. I want all My children to know what awaits them in heaven. I know many of My children have questions about heaven. Some of them wonder if there will be food to eat in heaven. (p.100).

Why do you think I chose prophets to work for Me on earth? Like you, I’ve sent them in order to do My work. Without prophets, I would not have any way of communicating my desire to My children. Therefore, My daughter, do not miss writing about anything I show or tell you. Tell it all. It is because you are such an obedient daughter that I am able to use you. (p.102).

“I want My children to read this book, because so many of them have doubts about heaven. I want them to believe there is a heaven and to live pure and obedient lives so they can come into My kingdom. This book is about all My words and the Kingdom I have prepared for whoever wants to come. Everything is already prepared. This book must be written by a Spirit-filled person. My daughter, if you were not under the special power of my Holy Spirit, I could never use you for this work. (p.116).

I want you to write down exactly what I show you and tell you. Nothing more and nothing less. After this is done, you will receive special gifts to serve Me, and you will be a blessing to My people. I will also bless you more than you want. (p.120).

I want all of My children to come to My kingdom. Whoever reads this book, I want them to believe and realize how they have to live in the world in order to enter the kingdom. (p.131).

From these 15 citations (there are more in the book) it should be obvious to the reader that this book is no ordinary book. Choo, although very special to Jesus, was simply the vehicle through which the “Lord” gave the Church and world new insights. Her book is so powerful that God will use it to deliver people out of spiritual darkness and through its revelations teach people how to live in order to enter the Kingdom of God. According to her Jesus, everything in the book, including its title (p.120), comes directly from the revealed will of God. At no point does Choo’s Jesus direct her or her readers to read the Bible daily, or to study and show themselves approved of God (2 Tim. 2:15). This entity makes no statements regarding the centrality of the Bible; He does make quite a few comments about how important His book through her is!

Hitherto Unknown Heavenly Revelations – aka The Gospel According to Choo

Since you now understand the divine weight of the words in His book, it behooves us to look into the “deep’ insights Choo’s Jesus is sharing with the Church and World. According to Mrs. Thomas, our Lord took her to heaven on 17 occasions. Prior to each “lift-off” the paranormal pattern is as follows: It is early in the morning, between 1:00 and 3:00 AM. Choo’s body goes into the uncontrollable spasms and she sweats profusely. This shaking goes on from a half and hour to an hour. She refers to the cause of this experience using a variety of adjectives based on the root word “anointing.” Here are a few examples: “the anointing of the Lord’s presence,” (p.9), “the intense heat of His anointing,” (p.19), “The anointing was heavy upon me,” (p.59), “a special anointing,” (p.59), “by the anointing of heat,” (p.74), “I was praying intensely under a great anointing from the Holy Spirit,” (p.84), “I cried under the precious anointing,” (p.87), “I plan to give you a special anointing,” (p.121), “a very special anointing,” (p.121), “then the hot anointing and groaning began,” (p.137).

Then she hears a voice speaking to her and she sees the apparition. At this point she has an out-of-body experience where this being first takes her to a secluded beach on earth (location unknown), where they chat for awhile. While out of her physical body it reacts to everything she sees and experiences in her transformed spirit body. If she dances spiritually, then her body on the bed dances too, etc. From the beach they then travel to heaven. I will not detail all 17 trips, but I will cite the “new” information from her trips.

The Master again took me into a huge tunnel. Again—unlike most tunnels—it was bright and shiny…I reasoned this must be the tunnel that people who have near-death experiences frequently describe as the passageway from this life to the next. (p.24).

Unlike Duplantis who got a cable car ride to heaven, Choo goes through a bright tunnel and pops out on the other side in heaven. She has no Scripture to equate her experience to,  so she relies on the subjective alleged near-death experiences of others for validation.

Thomas and her apparition walk along a winding road, passing gorgeous flowers until they come to a white palace with beautiful stained glass windows. They walk in and she sees — The Lord’s glistening golden throne stood atop a raised, oval shaped platform. Beams of radiant glory streamed from the center of the room where this platform was located. I was directed by an angel to a little room on the side, and I was surprised to discover a powder room there. A full-length mirror covered the entire wall on the left side of this room, and many beautiful velvet chairs were neatly arranged in front of the mirror…The being opened a large, walk-in closet that contained many robes, gowns and crowns…After I was dressed, the angel escorted me back to the main room. The Lord was waiting for me. I noticed that He was wearing a gown and crown like mine. (p26).

Good news ladies there are powder rooms in heaven! Every time Choo gets ushered off to heaven she and her Jesus must first change into different robes than their normal spirit-body robes. Note that Jesus wears a crown and robe like Choo’s, as opposed to her being clothed in the robes of His righteousness, no Jesus is dressed like Choo.

What is fairly unique to Choo’s delusion is that she does not see many others in heaven, no multitudes, no throngs of joyous saints praising their Lord. She does mention briefly meeting Abraham, but basically her report is about her, she is the center of attention.

After walking over the beautiful bridge, the Lord led me to a place where babies and infants—many of whom looked as if they had just been born—were kept. It was a huge room, like a warehouse, and wasn’t fancy or pretty. It was filled with babies who were naked and lying close to one another…”There are the babies of mothers who did not want them.” (p.38).

Something doesn’t make sense, Duplantis saw babies and little children being taught by angels….Thomas on the other hand sees them laying in a drab building, naked with no one attending them. They are the aborted babies, whose mothers can have them back if they get saved. Robert LIARdon saw a warehouse in his trip to heaven, but his was filled with human body parts, not babies. Whose vision can we trust? After all, the Bible is silent about what happens to infants and none of the biblical accounts of heaven make mention of them.

The Lord took me to a barren site outside the gate of the Kingdom and showed me many people wearing sand colored robes were in this region, standing very close together, and I noticed that they looked forlorn and lonely even though they were in the midst of so many others. (p.39). I noticed multitudes of people who were wearing sand-colored robes roaming aimlessly in the vicinity of the pit’s yawning mouth. Their heads were hanging low, and they looked very dejected and hopeless. Who are these people, Lord? I asked. “They are disobedient Christians.” How long will they have to stay in this barren, lifeless place? “Forever, My daughter. The only ones who will enter My kingdom are the pure of heart—My obedient children.” (P.46).

He took me to another high mountain from which I could look down into another endless valley here a multitude of people dressed in grey-colored robes were wandering about in an apparent mood of dejection. Their robes reminded me of the gowns worn by hospital patients. The people looked weak and lost, and their grey faces matched the color of the robes they were wearing…This place was mostly men with just a few women. Who are these people Lord? “They are sinful Christians.” What is going to happen to them? I wondered aloud. “Most of them will go to the lake of fire after the judgment.” (p.58).

At least in this detail Choo stays the course with many of the other heavenly delusions in print. We can expect there to be 2 classes of people in heaven. Duplantis saw people in different colored robes, denoting their rank in heaven. Choo sees a class of Christians, some are disobedient and others are sinful. Her Jesus says some of these sinful Christians will end up in the lake of fire. Why not all of them? What did some of these sinful saints do in order to escape the fire? Choo attempts to back up her cockeyed notion by citing 2 Cor. 5:10 concerning the judgment seat. According to her revelation only those who attain sinless perfection in his life will be numbered among the justified in heaven. Again, her focus is on our works and our strivings as opposed to the work Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. If these are the lower class of Christian who are the “high class” super saints?

…I noticed many adults and children who were wearing white gowns, and some of them were wearing crowns. They were simply standing there with very happy looks on their faces. (p.40). As I turned in another direction, I noticed a beautiful river. Along the river was a rock wall, and magnificent dwellings were situated on the left side of the river. Many of these homes looked like castles where only the very wealthy might live. The Lord said, “They are houses for My special children.” (p.44).

These folks have worked really hard and because they are extra special to Jesus (no doubt because of their works), He has made castles for them. As we know all too well by now, Choo is “special” to this being so it only stands to reason that she should get to see her mansion in glory:

We approached one of the castles, and the Lord opened the door for me to enter…The walls were constructed of multicolored precious gems that glistened in a magical way…The Lord rested on a chair as I went up the winding staircase that was more massive and grand than the one shown in Gone With the Wind’s Tara plantation…I noticed that the carpeting was a plush white. I entered a huge powder room that had a very large, sparkling mirrors everywhere. They reflected the brightness of the room (p.55)…I was awestruck by the sparking stone walls that lined the corridor of my mansion. I loved the red-and-cream-colored carpet with its round pattern. The red velvet chairs—so classic and sophisticated—were like the ones I had always wanted in my home. The red draperies were the finest I’d ever seen…The bedroom was carpeted in pure white, and I noticed that the headboard of the bed was silver with blue stones embedded…The mirror on the dresser also had blue stones…The bathroom had a silver bathtub that was decorated with precious jewels of every color. (p.64).

Everybody who gets a pre-death trip to heaven gets to see their “mansion.” This is one problem with taking the Kings James version of the Bible at face value without doing a little grammatical digging. Robertson’s Word Pictures of the New Testament says the following about John 14:2:

John 14:2 – Mansions (monai). Old word from menw, to abide, abiding places, in N.T. only here and verse 23. There are many resting-places in the Father’s house (oikia). Christ’s picture of heaven here is the most precious one that we possess. It is our heavenly home with the Father and with Jesus. If it were not so of the verb (Mark 2:21; Re 2:5,16; Joh 14:11). Here a suppressed condition of the second class (determined as unfulfilled) as the conclusion shows. I would have told you (ejpon an u `min). Regular construction for this apodosis (an and aorist-second active–indicative). For I go (o`ti poreuomai). Reason for the consolation given, futuristic present middle indicative, and explanation of his words in 13:33 that puzzled Peter so (13:36f). To prepare a place for you (e `times topon u `min). First aoist active infinitive of purpose of e `toimazw, to make ready, old verb from e `toimoj. Here only in John, but in Mr 10:40 (Mt. 20:23). It was customary to send one forward for such a purpose (Nu 10:33). So Jesus had sent Peter and John to make ready (this very verb) for the Passover meal (Mr 14:12; Mt 26:17). Jesus is thus our Forerunner (prodromoj) in heaven (Heb 6:20).

These text says nothing about each saint having their own mansion. Her description sounds more like the TBN television set than something created by God! Also, think a moment, why will we need beds in heaven? Will we get tired of praising the Lord? There is no day or night there; the Christ himself is the light throughout heaven (Rev. 21:23). We will be in eternity, so time as we know it will not pass. We will be glorified and like Christ, so we will not get tired and need a “nap.” Choo is fixated on mirrors and powder rooms in her book. She does not describe a heavenly commode, but I assume there must be some since there are heavenly bathtubs (I wonder where the dirt will come from that needs to be cleansed off our bodies?). Thomas also noted a dresser in her bedroom, I guess that is to hold her gowns, maybe the saints “dress” for dinner. Furthermore, the obedient/special children on God will also possess vacation homes on the beach (p.102). When you get tired of all the hubbub in the New Jerusalem just pack up the kids in your chariot and go down to your beachfront vacation mansion for a little R&R!

Good news for pet owners!   Hot off the pages of the Gospel according to Choo: We hiked out of the garden, along a narrow, winding road that led to a mountain vista overlooking a lush green valley. I could see animals of all sorts galloping and playing among the trees. I particularly noticed a spectacular deer that looked so strong and healthy. I noticed that these animals, which would usually be considered wild, were playful with one another. (p44)…It is reassuring to know that animals will live with us in paradise. So many people wonder if their pets will be in heaven…where people and animals alike will never experience pain, hardship, death or suffering ever again. After our visit to the animal paradise, the Lord and I went back to the waterside…(p55).

Again, this is information that the Bible does not detail for us. The book of the Revelation does not mention any animals, there may or may not be animals in heaven, does it really matter? Thomas tells her readers that no animals will ever experience pain or death. Well, that is, except for fish!

Good news for Fishermen!   According to the revelation of Thomas we shall both catch and eat fish in heaven.

We descended the hillside and walked to the water where we saw all kinds of fish swimming in the river…It amused me to see fish in heaven, and I began to laugh…I reached down and grabbed a red, striped fish and lifted it out of the water. I was laughing so uncontrollably, so the fish jumped out of my hands and swam to safety…He began to participate in the action with me by reaching down and grabbing a large fish…It was so good to see the Lord enjoying the moment with me (p.88-89).

As we walked over it, I looked down and saw that the stream was filled with many different kinds of fish. What are the fish for? I asked. “This is food for the kingdom.” the Lord replied. It made me happy to know that we willl be eating fruit and fish in heaven. The fact that these are the primary foods of the kingdom suggests we should be eating more of them on earth. (p.97). …by wading into the water and grabbing a large, flat, white fish. It was about the size of my two hands together. I enjoyed watching the Lord do this for me, and I found the scene to be very amusing…Next, I walked with Him beyond the rocks, where I noticed many large cooking areas that had silver-colored ovens built into the rocks. Atop the oven were cooking grilles with oval-shaped plates and silver forks. The Lord simply pushed a button on the side of one oven and a fire began. He then assumed the role of a cook, right in front of me. He grilled the fish until both sides of it were brown. He seemed to be so happy doing this for me…When we finished eating, He took my plate and fork and put them into a silver container…It wasn’t because I ate the fish; it was because my Lord and Savior cooked the fish and we ate it together. (p.98).

PETA will not be happy to learn that Jesus is not a “vegan.” However, we have been given important information about our future diet in heaven, fruit and fish, ergo we are to be eating much more of these on earth now (I suppose we should walk around in gowns too). I suppose eating all this fruit and fish necessitate the need for “powder rooms” in glory.

Demonic Possession

I stated earlier in this article that it is my belief that Choo is demonically possessed, certainly under the control of a strong demonic delusion. Her own account bears witness to my belief:

“During the night of February 12, my body shook more violently then it ever had. I was almost hurled form the bed because it was so forceful. I tried to grab the sheets to steady myself, but I couldn’t because I had no control over my body. The shaking was unremittingly forceful, and I grew afraid. (p.17).

I began singing in the spirit. The songs come forth, and I have no control over them when I am with the Lord. (p119).

The unusual voice that accompanies the supernatural visions the Lord gives me came forth. (p.123).

The supernatural voice that accompanies the visions He imparts to me came forth, and I saw the cover of Heaven Is So Real. (p.128).

“After everything is done, I want you to build My church.” This statement called forth the voice that always accompanies the supernatural visions the Lord gives me. (p.132).

The vision-voice came forth from my spirit. It seemed to take control of me for a long time (p.134).

My vision-voice came forth as it usually does in preparation for a supernatural vision from the Lord (p.138,139).

By this time I was singing loudly, and my hands were moving around like fists swinging at a punching bag…My whole body was jumping up and down because of the anointing and the shaking. I felt as if I were flying…The excited movement of my body and my vision-voice were so loud that I’m sure the whole house could hear me. (p.139).

Since January 1996 the anointing has been so strong that I cannot even control the shaking and other physical manifestations…For example, as off this writing, I cannot even enter the room where Roger works on the computer because the Holy Spirit’s presence is so strong there…my body begins to jump for joy. This is a physical response that comes from the Lord, and I have no control over it. (p148).

During the periods of shaking I would read my Bible and pray. Then as I would get into bed, my body would undergo tremendous and violent shaking for five or ten minutes. In the process my stomach would tighten, and I would experience spasms in the abdominal region. All of this happens each evening before the Lord’s visit to my room…During these marvelous visits, the Lord speaks directly and personally to me. Then He began to preparatory work in my body. When this happens, I have no control over my body for a period of two to four hours. (p158).

It isn’t until the reader is almost half way through the book that Choo’s mentions that prior to the appearance of the apparition she begins to speak in an “unusual” vision-voice. This is not her usual voice, but something that comes upon her or from within her which signify the beginning of her visions. She admits time after time throughout the book that when this voice speaks through her she has no control over it. When her body shakes or she jumps up and down, again she has no control over it. During the duration of visit by her spirit-guide she is physically out of control. This simply is not the work of the Holy Spirit, it is not indicative of His fruit in our lives.

Galatians 5:22-24  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

1 Corinthians 14:32   The spirit of prophets are subject to the control of prophets.

Choo tells us that she is an end-time prophetess, why can’t she control her own spirit? Where is the self-control in her devotional life? By simple definition, when one is possessed then that individual is incapable of independent action apart from the controlling entity. Choo tells us she has no control during these times.

During the next portion of her book, Thomas goes on to reveal to the readers how “anointed” she is and exactly what the Lord did to her physically in what she refers to as her “body work.” “Each time before the preparatory work begins the Lord talks to me about my future. Then the body work commences…” (p.159). Sound creepy? Choo takes us to the “outer limits” and beyond in the next chapters:

The work involved with preparing my body for the ministry God has called me to do included my face, my hands, my head, my feet and my back. The Lord used my hands to touch every part of my body from my head to the bottom of my feet over and over again…The Holy Spirit directed me in all of this. I don’t really have control of my hands, or any part of my body, when the Holy Spirit is doing His anointed work on me and with me…On several of the nights the Lord poured oil upon me. This precious oil was in oval vessels that looked like small perfume bottles. The bottles were of many different colors. He would pour the oil upon me from head to toes, and on my back as well…I have found that He poured a total of eight-five bottles of anointing oil upon me…Before being bathed in the anointing oil each time an unusual vision-song would come forth. (p.160).

As He poured the anointing oil on my body, I would shake, jerk, perspire and become intently hot…Some nights, while the Lord would be working with my body and hand movements, my entire physical being would become black and cold… There were other occasions when my entire body would become invisible as the Lord was doing His preparatory work with me…During some sessions the Lord would both lift my body and lower it…Many times He would raise and lower my body forty-none times a night (p.162).

Thomas goes on and on with more of the above. My brothers and sisters what she is describing has absolutely no relationship to the Bible whatsoever. She is describing perfectly what happens to an individual who has undergone what the Hindus call “Shaktipat initiation.” Those who practice Kundalini yoga (translated the serpent power) undergo what they term as an unlocking of their charkas. Charkas are alleged to be energy centers within the human body. The lowest charkas is at the base of the spine and is said to have the form of a coiled serpent (the Kundalini). There are 7 charkas, stopping at the top of the head. Kundalini yoga is considered to be one of the most dangerous forms of yoga and the most demonic gurus of our day have all practiced and taught it, i.e. Bhagwn Shree Rajneesh, Swami Muktananda, Sai Baba to name just a few to deceive multitudes in our own nation. When the serpent power is released in the body, the body goes into spontaneous “kriyas”:

Kriyas, literally “activities”, are spontaneous movements that occur after Kundalini awakening. These include bodily activities such as trembling, shaking, and spontaneous yoga postures; vocal activities such as yelling, or spontaneous chanting and mental activities such as visions. These Kriyas eliminate the blocks to kundalini rising within the spine or central channel.

” Then came the most wild of the kriyas. They continued day and night, but were most vigorous when I was lying down at rest. I hardly slept at all during this period. My body would jerk around in radical, spasmodic movements. These often involved very specific muscle groups, such as those in my feet, hands, stomach, back and so forth… then my arms would fly up and down in similar kind of rapid and rhythmic motion. My legs would kick up and down in the same way. These movements were hard and martial, as if I were practicing military marching while lying in bed… The arm movements were becoming more sinuous and complex. As these arm motions became more fast and furious, I went to a full length mirror to witness what was happening. All at once I had the most eerie feeling, as if my body was ‘remembering’ something. My hips, knees and legs began to sway and undulate as the intricate arm motions choreographed. I stared at the mirror in awe…My body was performing some kind of exotic dance. Then my arms came forward and my hands met, palms pressed together in a prayer-like pose, and drew up to the centre of my chest. A force pulled me over into a bow and held me there an instant. Then my knees buckled, and I found myself kneeling prostrate on the floor. The thought hit me; ‘I’m worshipping something, but worshipping what? Then I knew; I had just performed a sacred temple dance.

Once these “blocks” within the body are removed, then the serpent power can flow throughout the person and from them to others! This is precisely what Mrs. Thomas is undergoing and she has mistakenly attributed it to the work of the Holy Spirit! Choo, like the woman in the quote, mentions that her hands began to move at such a rapid rate they were almost a blur at times. She spends a great deal of time relating to the readers how she privately “dances” before the Lord on the beach. At least the woman in the above citation had the wherewithal to ask what she was worshipping? Choo never asks, just knows all of these experiences are of the Lord and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Why on earth (or heaven) would the Lord have to work on her physical body in order to prepare her for ministry? No one else in the entire Bible has had to undergo such experiences, frankly, no orthodox Christian since the Apostles have had to undergo any such nonsense.

It was as if He were unlocking the potential within my body…He would cause my body to rise and kneel before Him in intervals of seven, over and over again…Thirty-three different time He “unlocked” the various parts of my body that needed His work of preparation. When He unlocked my hands, for instance, they shook so hard that I grew frightened…Each part of my body had a special reaction to the unlocking work…Each time the Lord pours the anointing oil on me or unlocks the locks of my body, my physical being responds with violent shaking, jerking, intense heat, groans and supernatural power that causes my body to be lifted up (p.165).

Thomas says her body literally levitates, at times becomes invisible, other times turns black and cold. She experiences intense heat and each part of her body (charka?) responds differently as it is unlocked, which is exactly what everything written about kundalini awakenings denotes.

She reports so many other bizarre occurrences during the 3 years of her spiritual transformation that I cannot describe them all. What is to me most disturbing is that close to half a million professing Christians have purchased her book! What shocks me is that Strang Communications, owners of Creation House, would deign to publish a book that is so completely off the charts biblically. From start to finish her novel is fill with unsupported statements and out rightly demonic manifestations. Why didn’t the Strang Editors pick up on this? Why didn’t they refuse to print her book and point Thomas to the Bible and the Jesus of the Bible, who sees all His children as special?

This book and its growing popularity prove to me that we are surely living in dark times. When people can give this balderdash any credence at all is beyond the scope of even my warped imagination. Her book does alert me, and now I hope you as well, to the desperate need that the Body of Christ has for Apologetic ministries. When hundreds of thousands of people can be deceived by such patently obvious fabrications we know that we have got a real battle for God’s truth on our hands. Please pray for Mrs. Thomas and ask God to grant repentance to Strang publications for being a tool in Satan’s hands to mislead multitudes.  ♦

Raining a bunch of bull

Raining in her living room for three hours and with today’s technology she did not get a camera and tape it? Sorry, I think she is a liar. Just like the others: Patricia King (minty green angel) , Tod Bentley (his angelic encounters), Josh Mills (gold dust), etc. Really, the list goes on and on.

Even if she was able to give some kind of proof through video, we STILL would have to test things. We are told Satan will come with LYING signs and wonders.

WHERE IS THE PROOF, Sousa?

She tells us it was during the holiday of Yom Kippor that the miracle took place. By telling us this, she would have us to believe because the miracle occured on this day, then it makes it even more credible.

Not so.

Suppossedly, this happened when she was on a quest to get her “soul healed.” Where are we told to go on a quest to get our souls healed? This goes back to self. Jesus said, ”It is finished.” Most — if not all — healing of our souls, comes when we repent. That involves the Cross. Perhaps if our souls need to be healed from something, we need to learn to forgive, let go of bitterness, etc. We can not do this apart from the Cross.

Sousa would have you to believe that you need to be in your living room waiting for it to rain before God touches your soul.

As she was repenting for her drug abuse it began to rain in her house. If we accepted God and came to the Cross, did we not repent then? Seems to me, the main thing Sousa needs to repent for, is this deceitful lying.

The following is a comment someone left on youtube after watching her video:

“Katie – you are blessing from God! Is worms my hearth to hear you, but in the same time you make me jealous to be more close to God like you do.”

I left the spelling as it were. The person who wrote the comment has made the awful mistake of making Sousa her plumbline. These kinds of deceitful and manipulating liars such as Sousa point people to experiences. It causes those who may be sincere in trying to find God, believe somehow they are not as spiritual if they are not experiencing such malarky as rain in their living room. It causes people to chase after signs and wonders instead of pursuing the truth.

I can understand baby Christians believing this bull. But middle-aged seasoned Christians? And there are plenty of them out there doing just that.

Angel Feather Miracle

I told myself I was not going to do this anymore: keep putting up this garbage. But as long as I know there are still people coming in here, peeking around to see what I say about certain things, I will. You see, there are thousands of us who do not believe everything that is being done in the name of Jesus, is the real deal. We are mocked, we are judged, we are called names. Yet we are the ones testing things as commanded to do.

I am constantly amazed at the middle-aged seasoned Christians who continue to believe this horse dung.

Let me tell you how these miracles are done. Think about air vents in buildings, people. For once, let us use the brains God gave us. If I speak harshly it is because I am sick and tired of those who are too lazy to search the scriptures, so gullible to believe every little thing these star studded teachers have to say. Yet, they have the audacity to say those of who are testing things are blashpheming.

Jim Jones had his miracles. He used chicken guts to convince hundreds of people he had some great power. And just like today we have CHRISTIANS drinking the same ol’ kool-aid. One of believing every thing that comes to them. Why is this? It is because they have no love for the truth. They LOVE having their ears tickled.

Sid Roth asks why there are so many different colored angel feathers. I will answer that: Because any good craft store is going to have all kinds of different feathers you can purchase.

“Tell the people to stand up and worship me. I’m not done.”

At this point if anyone dared not to rise, they would be ostracised as not being spiritual. This is one reason Jesus told us not to even go where it was being proclaimed Christ (the annointing) is here or there. There is a mob mentality, a sheeple driven mentality that makes individuals forget they have a brain. Beware when this happens. You are being set up to follow a lie.

I’m afraid when they stood up, they were worshipping a different jesus.

A woman gets her very own birth stone delievered to her. How interesting. When did God care about birth stones? See, how none of this points to the cross, but back to self.

Notice the nice little professional box the guest carries all the miracles in. Wonder if he took the time to go get them analyzed. I doubt it. Wonder how many of his followers asked him to. WHERE IS THE PROOF of anything in this other than a false sign and wonder?

Please do not leave me a comment in favor of this malarky. I will not spend my time going round and round with some of you.

I have told you the truth and you have been warned. Keep on believing this stuff and greater delusions will come to you. I didn’t say it. God says it in his Word.

Contrary to popular opinion within the church, Christianity is NOT pretending we have all things in common for the sake of some kind of fake peace with one another. Jesus said He did not come to bring peace, but division. The division comes when truth is spoken and people still want their ears tickled.
