A Pagan Gets it Right

The following was taken from a Pagan blog. I must say it is pretty darn sad when Pagans have more discernment to what is going on within the apostate church, than the church does. Though I can not ago along with Pagan practices, (I worship only one God) I respect them for their ability to see in an area that the church does not.

The following was gotten here: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/wildhunt/tag/heartland-apostolic-prayer-network

I’ve written at some length about the upcoming prayer rally “The Response” and its problematic organizers and endorsers, and I have also devoted quite a bit of time to the New Apostolic Reformation, a neo-Pentecostal Christian movement that regularly engages in spiritual warfare tactics, displays a disturbing anti-Pagan emphasis, and has intertwined itself with Perry and his prayer event. While I use the terminology “spiritual warfare” quite often, I think that it’s hard to envision what this practice is like among the Christians who engage in it. I’ve mentioned that it is, in essence, malefic magic, but that’s often a difficult picture to square with the usual harmless image of devout Christians with heads bowed and hands clasped. But an upcoming New Apostolic Reformation-led event, brought to my attention by fellow Pagan blogger Hecate, does an very good job of illustrating how “spiritual warfare” works in their context.

Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation. Oh goody goody, we have the likes of Cindy Jacobs and others praying (in Jacobs case: screeching like some kind of banshee) for the nation. That is comforting. Yes, I’m being sarcastic. How any Christian can take this stuff serious is beyond me. WHERE are we told in the word of God to do this? WHERE are we told to line ourselves up with such a thing? Instead we are told there is a remnant of God. (Of which I hope and pray I am part of) If thousands and thousands of people are doing the very same thing at the very same time, where is the remnant?

The above video is from an upcoming prayer-war event called “DC40″ which will “lay siege” on Washington D.C. to change the “District of Columbia” into the “Disctrict of Christ” (they even issued a faux-legal “divorce decree”). This initiative is being co-led by Cindy Jacobs (who managed to find the spiritual bright-side in the Japan and Haiti earthquakes) and John Benefiel of the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network (HAPN), both influential figures in the New Apostolic Reformation movement, and both are national endorsers for Rick Perry’s “The Response.” In anther video, organizer and “prophetic artist” James Nesbit makes clear that the goal is to return Washington D.C. to Christ, and to eliminate compromise in our government.

The whole video is one of manipulation from his voice to the music in the back-ground. Take away the music and he would not be able to speak with such heart-felt passion. As Christains we are being led to believe that we must take part in order to bring about some kind of change in our nation. He asks, “can all 50 states cry at the same time?” I suppose there are some who would believe God would really be impressed with such a thing. However, I don’t believe God is impressed with man’s schemes, goals, agendas or/and plans at all.  What happened to the prayer closet? Whatever happened to picking up your cross and following Jesus? Instead there is a move among the so-called apostles/prophets of today to just get government to do what we as the Bride of Christ should be doing: That is one of leading others to the truth.

Christians can not legislate moral behavior. Christians can not nor should not force others to believe through laws to behave what they consider godly. Only a holy God can do that and that is through repentence and being born-again. Nothing else. When the church begins to want to use government to force a nation to behave a certain way, then rest assured they have allowed government to become their god. It is no different than those who already depend upon government to answer every need.

That animus towards compromise isn’t an aberration. Benefiel’s HAPN released a “Declaration of Light” that made it very clear that they have “no power to purpose or accept any compromise of the promises of God, and we declare illegal in the earth any action or any people, Nation or nations that undertake what is contradictory to the Word of God.” In short, if it isn’t God-sanctified, it doesn’t apply to them.

Now many see these sorts of things and simply scoff. But for a large number of modern Pagans the focused intent of will, the use of prayer to achieve goals, the harnessing of intent towards a shared goal is taken very seriously, we call it magic (or magick). If we believe that groups of Pagans working towards some shared spiritual goal is effective, then by extension we can’t help but take an initiative to harness the wills and intents of thousands of Christians towards a goal that would marginalize or harm our faiths seriously. These prayer warriors make plain that their “struggle is not against flesh and blood” and that they “do not curse those deceived,” but disclaimers do not make malefic magic positive. These groups have made it very, very, clear that our gods are their enemies.

I am glad the writer made a distinction between those who want to spend their time fighting gods they do not believe in from those of us who would rather find something better to do with our time. The Christian who wants to fight gods they do not believe in, are silly. No different than an atheist who would spend all their time getting upset over a god they did not believe in. From the Christian standpoint, I suppose it is much easier than actually picking up the cross.

The question is how do we respond? Some want to respond with their own magical action, but would that simply feed their spiritual warfare paradigm? As the New Apostolic Reformation climbs the ladder of influence and power within politics, organizing their massive group spells, simply ignoring them seems to be quickly fading away as an option.

A comment taken from the site concerning this matter: Perhaps we should become “better healers than they are warriors”?  And I think a healthy dose of humor would be a good healing tactic.

I wish I had her sense of humor. But I don’t. I think these false prophets/apostles are leading the church straight to anti-christ.  Whatever, whoever it is.

If I had to choose between the two, I would much rather have a pagan for my friend than these who are setting themselves up for the rest of the church to follow.

Cindy Jacobs and “Gabriel”

I found this at http://slaughteringthesheep.wordpress.com/2010/07/15/cindy-jacobs-tall-tales-and-yarns/

Once again Crystal, the author was able to expound on this fake Cindy Jacobs. I’m glad she was able to do it, as I just can not stomach this woman and her followers. What amazes me is how many people actually take Cindy Jacobs seriously!

Thanks, Crystal for your work on this!

This is what the author had to say: Cindy Jacobs: Tall Tales and Yarns

In this video, Cindy Jacobs discusses how “Lonnie,” Jacobs’ head of accounting, had a dream where she saw four vortexes of demons destroy Generals International (GI).  In the dream, everything was destroyed except for the media arm of GI.  At that time, Jacobs claims GI was having such financial difficulty, they thought they were going to have to shut down.  To hear her tell it, they were doing everything they could to raise funds, but weren’t getting anywhere.  Thanks to Lonnie and her dream, it was revealed that four vortexes of demons were causing it.

The next night, Jacobs said that Lonnie was visited by Gabriel himself, and Gabriel warned her that Jacobs was in danger.  Lonnie asked Gabriel, “Why are we having so much trouble at Generals International?”  Gabriel supposedly responded that it was because four vortexes of demons were assigned to hold back resources that GI needed to stay in operation.

Notice anything here?  Jacobs’ friend can’t just have an encounter with any old angel, it has to be Gabriel!  See, here’s how it works.  A false teacher comes up with a fantastic story that will promote their self-worth in the eyes of their followers.  Once the story is concocted, they have to spin it so that it shows just how important they are.  That’s where Gabriel enters the picture.  You can’t get any more impressive than a visit from Gabriel, can you?  And what is Gabriel saying?  He’s saying Jacobs is being destroyed because demonic hordes are coming against her and preventing her ministry’s resources from getting through.  There it is…the bottom line every time.  If you’ll read between the lines, you’ll see it’s all an elaborate ploy to get money.  Did you think it was anything else?

See for yourself…

“You have to know Lonnie, she’s an accountant.” What a crock and what manipulation. Like an accountant wouldn’t dare lie or is too straight laced to experience the occult? This says lie, lie, lie all the way through it. If you are a follower of this woman, you need to run from her as fast as possible. I don’t mean to sound unkind, but only a stupid spirit would follow this junk.

What was God thinking?

What was God thinking about the following? Was He pleased? I certainly can not speak for Him, but I can speak for myself. The following took place in May. I can only imagine what onlookers may have thought to hear this screeching woman yelling “mayday! mayday!” WHAT on earth was she talking about; people being in the trees? You mean to tell me there were people so enamored with Cindy Jacobs that they climbed trees to get a glimpse of her and hear her voice? I think not. It almost makes one wonder if she was not having some kind of delusions of grandeur in thinking people came out to her see her like Nicodemus did when he climbed a tree to see Jesus! What else can you make of it?

IF I had been an unsaved onlooker, and walked by that mess I would have thought, what a bunch of kooks. Heck, I think it anyway. First off, the Word says: If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. — Chronicles 7:14

Turning from wicked ways would also mean turn from false teachers, prophets, evangelists, preachers, etc. Instead they are embraced by the majority of Christians without much reservation!

The Word does not say for a group of people to come together and shout “mayday! mayday!” I suppose the piano in the background was to get everybody in the mood. Oooops, that is manipulation which is the same as witchcraft. Call it worship if you like, but it is not.

“Here we are, save us!”

“Save us, God. Come on, keep crying out.”

That’s right, sheeple. Do what you are told. Be led by the false ones and continue to do everything they tell you to do and they will lead you straight to the anti-christ one way or the other.

“I want you to turn to your neighbor. I want your voice to be heard. There’s a transistion…”

What transistion? You mean like power was being transfered right there and then? I don’t think so.

“I want you to pray wherever you are. Under the trees, wherever you are…”

She’s got the tree thingy going on again!

Then she ends with imitaions of Braveheart shouts of “Freedom, freedom, freedom!”

There is NO WAY I could have been in the mood for praying or ANYTHING for that matter (other than vomiting) if I had to stay there and listen to that silly woman and her screeching voice. No wonder the world thinks a lot of Christians are flakes — look whose leading them in the apostate church!

Well, after giving it some thought, I think I can speak for God and I do not think He was impressed at all with this show.

Whatever happened to being in your prayer closet? This “mayday” event was more of lining ones self up with a political movement rather than God. Which is fine, but please do not make it what it is not; some kind of mandate from God.

I will not line myself up with these people in way, shape or form. I believe God would say, “Come out of her, My people.”

May God forgive me if I have insulted Him in anyway.

The witchcraft of Cindy Jacobs

The Word of God makes it clear: An evil and adulteress generation seeks signs and wonders.

You go looking for things outside the will of God, do not be surprised if a demon comes to you in one way or another.

CJ begins telling a story (name drops Peter Wagner) on how she thought she could handle the glory of God. “Me and Jesus have the wildest time in prayer.” Are you impressed? I’m not.

“I have amazing visitations with god. I’m praying and I’m just reading the bible cause I want god to do everything in there. I’m just loving this…so I read about the seraphim…and I say, ohhh, I really want to see a seraphim. That would be so great. All of a sudden this fire starts burning in my room and I think I’m gonna burn, be crispy critters…I pulled the cover over my head and said, oh no, I’m not ready! Boom, there it was gone.”

In the very next breath she begins to minister.

“…Some of you are sick because you have a witchcraft curse… but I’m gonna pray for you and I’m gonna break those curses.”

The louder she screams the louder the music gets. Or is it the louder the music gets, the louder she screams? THIS is the witchcraft — allowing this woman or any other to manipulate and control. WHO in their RIGHT mind could even sit amidst this tripe? The music in itself is enough to make any sane person want to get up and leave the room! Let alone a screaming banshee in the back ground.

MAY DAY! MAYDAY! We have a problem!

Thanks to Geri who sent me the following article found here:

http://www.apostasywatch.com/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Detail/mid/412/xmid/111/xmfid/1/Default.aspx

In the latest attempt by the patriotic/conservative wing of the visible church to take back America, believers are urged to come to Washington D.C on May 1, 2010 for a day of repentance and prayer.

May Day 2010 – A Cry to God for a Nation in Distress

Led by a who’s who of political, religious and cultural holy warriors we are assured that:
“This event is not to impress the media or those in Washington, but to reach the heart of God. Publicly repenting and crying out to God for His mercy instead of the judgment our many sins deserve.”

Sounds great doesn’t it, just what this country needs, a good dose of humility and true turning to God but is that the only agenda at work here?

My first thought when I saw this was, why did they choose the day that is historically associated with the celebration of communism? Perhaps it was only a coincidence. Then I realized the name and date was a play on words. Mayday is the international signal for ships in distress and there is no question that our ship of state is currently in great distress.

But as I examined the press release for this event I noticed something else at work

The group will repent for how the nation has turned from God in every area of influence: 1) business 2) government, 3) media, 4) arts and entertainment, 5) education, 6) the family and 7) religion and invite God back into each area of Americans’ lives.

There it was just as plain as day. The 7 areas of influence (aka the Seven Mountains) are the 7 cultural arenas which, according to Dominionist teaching must be conquered by the church before Jesus returns.

Dominionism (aka Kingdom Now theology) is the heretical idea that the church, not Jesus will bring righteousness to this world. It is based on many false teachings, not the least of which is the belief in a great end time revival. In dominionist doctrine this great end time revival will be led by a group of ‘super Christians’ who have reached a state of sinless perfection in the flesh, thereby empowering them to do great miracles. This sinless company of believers (sometimes known as the manifest sons of God, the manchild company, the bride of Christ, or the latter rain company) will in turn be led by a group of restored apostles and prophets. These apostles and prophets will have the power to speak on Gods behalf to all believers and to the world.

RedeemedHippie:[These people will actually HELP bring in the antichrist. How could they not? The spirit behind them — putting themselves up front and making themselves and one another all important, IS ANTICHRIST!]

My suspicions about this event were confirmed when I saw the list of names on the organizing committee. Among the politicians and culture warriors are three of the biggest guns of the New Apostolic Reformation

Chuck Pierce – Glory of Zion International
Dutch Sheets – Dutch Sheets Ministries
Cindy Jacobs – Generals International

RedeemedHippie:[Three people right there that should cause alarm with not only their dark quirkiness but the FALSE lying and deceiving tongues they have!]

For more information on these people and others associated with the NAR, check out the latest newsletter from The Plumbline.

Do not be deceived folks. This dominionist/kingdom now theology is nothing more than Church Jihad. The bible does not teach that we will bring righteousness to the world. It is Christ alone in his physical return to this earth who will establish a righteous world government. It is Christ alone who will rule the nations with a rod of iron, not man. There is no great end time revival but rather a great end time falling away from the truth of scripture and this deadly doctrine plays right into that great apostasy.

Nothing good can come of this. Do not join yourself with apostates, unbelievers, and Chino’s (Christian in name only). America is not Gods chosen nation. It is true that God has used America as a vessel of honor but it is also true that we have been used as a vessel of dishonor. The Lord has decreed that in the latter days all nations shall come against His covenant people and that includes the good old USA.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2Chronicles 7:14

True revival begins in the hearts of men as the Holy Spirit brings conviction and the reality of sin righteousness and judgment. Only then will men see themselves as the wretched sinners they truly are and only then will they repent and turn to Christ in holiness and truth. The nation will never change until change comes to the hearts of men through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And that change needs to begin first of all in the institution that calls itself the church.

Turn from your belief in the wicked way of man centered kingdom now theology. Turn from your wicked ways that equate patriotism with godliness. Turn from your desires to fight for and against the kingdoms of this world. Repent and understand that the kingdom of God is not of this world. Our warfare is centered around the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The time is short. Judgment is at the door. Who’s kingdom will you fight for?

RedeemedHippie:[It will be a hard task for some of you to say “No!” to this. Your churches may be planning on going. You will be made to feel like you should go or you are not as “spiritual” as those going. Are you willing to say “no” and stay home? Instead of being seen by men in some great gathering, are you willing to go into your prayer closet and pray? Which is Jesus more pleased with? How did He tell us to pray?

Think about this too: Any time there is a great movement of multitudes of people together, it creates a camrederie. Do you really want to be part of something that not only could lead you into further deception down the road, but actually join you with the those who have no discernment, and follow FALSE leaders and teach doctines of demons? Think about it, friend. There is a remnant for the last days. Decide who are you going to follow: the masses? God just may call you to be alone for awhile. It is better to be alone with Him than to be with a sea of people who may just end up helping to usher in the antichrist.]
