Got Questions?

This page is for questions anyone may have on any subject. If you have a question, then ask it here. If I’m able to answer it, I will do my best. If there are others out there who feel led to answer, then go for it. Surely, we all can come together and one of us know something or another. Most likely, some of you will answer better than I ever could. Just keep the questions decent and sincere. That is all I ask. If I think you are being a smart butt, your question does not go up. 😀

Thanks RH. I am re-posting my question here [in the right place this time!] in the hope that more people will see it and reply and give their thoughts…

To the readers of RHs blog: I have written a book and this is the beginning… do you mind reading it and telling me what you think? For me, after studying, praying agonizing for more than 25 years, this is what I believe the meaning of the Universe to be.

“There was a time – non-time really – when all there was, was one Supreme Being, God the Creator. He existed all alone in an everlasting silence and in complete solitude. Nothing shared space with Him; not sound or sight, nor form. Not even nothingness, because even “nothingness” was “something.”

He was a Trinity – meaning that although He was one Person, He expressed Himself in three Persons, namely God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Paradoxically, the very essence of this God who was so alone and silent was love, but there was no other for Him to love.

It was then that He, with tender heart yearning and uncharacteristic vulnerability, conceived a plan so astounding, with a scope of such magnitude and intricacy, and carrying with it a risk so grave, that even He trembled in its contemplation. He would create an Eternal Companion for Himself.

No imagination by the most brilliant intelligence in heaven or on earth – in time or eternity, even if there were such a thing then – could even remotely conceive of a being that could be a suitable companion for this awesome Personage. S/he would have to be His equal in every way. S/he could not be superior to Him nor could s/he be inferior to Him. S/he would have to be the highest life form He could create and would have to complement Him perfectly on all levels of His being.

He was, however, faced with a serious dilemma…

The story of how God the Father proceeded to resolve this problem makes for amazing reading. It runs like a Golden Thread right through the Bible, of how God the Father chose the nation Israel to be His wife, in order to bring forth the Man Jesus Christ [God in the flesh] who would be put to death to bring forth His Bride, us born-again believers, in the same sense that Adam was “put to death” to bring forth his Bride, Eve.” [This paragraph is for me, the Bible in a nutshell. This is what everything’s about.]

    The dilemma:
The question arises… Why did God create a material universe and physical man? Why did He not just create a pure spiritual companion for Himself? Surely a spirit Companion would have been ideal? I believe the reason may have been this: It is obvious from what happened to Lucifer and his angels who were pure spirit beings that they had an element of choice and could therefore become corrupt. If it is assumed that the spirit Companion would also have had an element of choice, and she became corrupt, [God must have known that she would, which is possibly why He did not create a spirit being as a companion for Him] there would be no possibility of redemption for her because spirit cannot die and therefore cannot be released from the curse of corruption and sin [redeemed]. She would have had to be cast into hell just like Lucifer and his angels, because corruption can have no place in the perfect and holy Dimension of Spirit. There was only one way. Seeing that God knew beforehand that some of his creatures that make up His Eternal Companion [s/he is a corporate figure made up of all human beings who are born-again spiritually] were going to rebel against His rule, physical death [and extinguishing of the flame of the spirit so that it cannot be exploited by Satan] was the only solution because death of the physical body was the only means for opening the way to redemption.

    Thanks in anticipation…

Nomen est Omen, I say what I am about to say in true concern for your spiritual well being. There are many many people in this earth who have been led astray by reading books in which the authors ascribe to God human traits and emotions, and in which the authors imagine what God may have said or done “IF” this or that had taken place. ALL of us are safer to keep ourselves within the bounds of what God has spoken through His Word – His Word is truth, and it is suffcient. We enter into dangerous territory when we wander outside the parameters of that Word.

I noticed in another comment you made, that you referenced Nikos Kazantzakis’ book, “Christ Recrucified”, which I have read is the title given to “The Last Temptation of Christ”, when the book is published outside of the United States. That book is a good example of going outside/beyond what is written in the Word of God, and I believe it is one of those dangerous books which help to cause people to go astray. I wonder if this book may have affected you negatively, maybe led you off the straight and narrow path?

I pray that you would desire to immerse yourself in the Word of God, and be taught by His Holy Spirit. Until we have a deep understanding of His Word, how can we teach others, how can we explain the reason for our hope and our faith, how can we list the attributes of a Holy God? I don’t pretend to have arrived AT ALL, but God has been merciful to me to guide me to leave the apostate church I was in, and He has shown me, and continues to show me His Truth. He led me to leave “Christian” books alone, because most recently written books and many which were written in other times, are filled with false teaching. I praise Him for His goodness and mercy toward me!!

I also pray that if you do write a book about God, you would be absolutely positive that there is nothing in it which would lead others astray or into the apostasy, and that it contains not one word in it which is contrary to the Word of God.

    Dear Geri,
I feel as if I have been thrown a life-line! I must have been wary of my theories in my spirit which was why I so much wanted to test it through other true Christians.

I discern in my spirit that you are speaking the truth and though somewhat of a shock to me I value your wise and kind words and take it to heart. I have been trying to fathom God with my intellect. I have spent more than 25 years “researching” God and the universe, and I finally thought I knew what He was about… but still, there was always some nagging little worry in my mind… My theories were based on the books that I read and not on the Bible! [It is so clear now!!]

My quest was for Truth and Truth alone. This God knows. My intention was pure. I thank you for your honesty! For boldly telling me the Truth. It is as if I was just waiting for your reply all these years.

I will go to our Father and humble myself and confess that I have been trying to understand [contain] Him and His plan for us with my mere little intellect! I will ask Him to purify my mind of any theories about Him and I will return to the Word – the Bible – which I have been neglecting for a long time [because it did not support my theories??]

Thank you once again, with all my heart.

Thanks for your blessing RH. It was a strange thing… I don’t usually let go of something that I believe to be the truth this easily. Under any other circumstances I would have put up a good fight… But this was immediate conviction! And immediate repentance and immediate confession and, thank God for His goodness and patience, immediate forgiveness. It can only be the Holy Spirit of God that reached out to me through Geri – and through you in the other comment on the Bridegroom. I immediately rejected this vision and also any other that I had.

I was only a young Christian when I went to the Passion Play in Oberammergau with a Christian group. When in Amsterdam we, of course, went to Walletjies Street. That’s another story, but when we entered the area there was a book store and in the window of this bookstore was a book with the most disgusting cover picture. I asked God there and then to erase this picture from my mind, and He is faithfull and true. I cannot recall that picture and I have tried! In the same sense I have asked God to erase my theories about Him from my mind, and I know He is doing it. The moment I want to explain something to myself about the meaning of anything in the light of my theories, it just flies away – not supernaturally, but I stop them at the door and don’t let them in.

I am truly blessed that God has seen fit to use both you and Geri to deliver me from these delusions.

nomen, I can relate with not letting go of something easily. Too many times, I have held on to beliefs that have been the result of my vain imaginations. I still have to wrestle with these things. Your graceiousness and truth towards me, have cause me to check myself and seek God if even NOW there is anything in me that has created God in MY image and not His. Thank you for your faithfullness in seeking the truth and in speaking the truth.

God bless you and keep you, sister.

Your words have spoken to me personally and I needed to hear them.

Iron sharpens iron. May we all contend for the real truth and nothing but the truth.

Edgar, more than likely 2012 is a hoax. Could be the leaders of the whole world have something planned for us. I don’t know. I don’t know what “false god” you are talking. Perhaps the anti-christ? The ufo sightings may have something to do with the endtime delsuions that will be coming upon the earth.

wow, I got me a real 100 percent bonofide ReligiousSpiritDestoyer here. I am just shaking in my boots. LOL at you.
You are a coward. You can’t even tell why you say the things you say.
You come here and spout off your putrid attack thinking you have accomplished something.
You have accomplished nothing except to show your ignorance, your inability to discuss what it is you disagree with and
how much of an idol lover you are.
What IDOL did I touch? Joel Osteen? T.D. Jakes? Tod Bentley?
Or perhaps, obama himself? That’s it isn’t it? You are an obama supporter, right?

Don’t come back here or I will chew you up and spit you out.
But you already knew that, didn’t you or you would have
told what it is exactly you disagree with. But like a typical coward and apostate lover, you thought you could come
in this place, say what you had to say and make some kind of point — which you did not — and
run with your cowardly little tail tuck between your legs.

You have no love for the truth.

I hope you get a real revelation of truth. You can start here:

Nomen est Omen, I rejoice with you that you have turned to the Word of God to receive understanding of Who he is! He is faithful, He is the author and finisher of our faith. His Holy Spirit is our teacher, our guide, the one who leads us into all Truth. Daily we all need to trust Him for that. It is not always easy, our flesh is not always cooperative, our spiritual eyes are easily distracted at times. There are wolves everywhere with teachings which tickle our ears and beckon us off the straight and narrow path. I praise God that He had mercy on ME and has brought me out of false teachings! Psalm 119:103 -105 is dear to me: “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”. I will be praying for you as you seek the Lord Jesus, who is described in the Gospel of John 1:14: ” And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”. Glory to God!!

    Hi sister Hippie,

I just read over at M’K’s blog that your going to try a Church of Christ and am I highly concerned. I have studied and debated on the CoC more than any other group besides Mormons and the WoF. I have to tell you that ex-cocers say 20-70 percent of the CoC is so heretical that they are not even Christian and their heresies are subtle and appealing, so much so that it causes good people to miss the big ones that make them unchristian. Please see my CoC page ( and writings if your going to go to a CoC,, so if you go to one of the “hardliners” (what ex-cocers call the cult ones) you will see it clearly.

PLEASE do not approve this comment, it is just for you and I had no other way to contact you.

    With Love in Christ

I have relatives who were Church of Christ. They taught you will not make Heaven if you do not belong to the Church of Christ for they alone are His Church, they alone have the truth. We know His Church is made up of all sorts of people who are the true Church.

Hi brother Damon. I hope you do not mind but I went on and posted your comment. The information you have to offer us is priceless and I want others to be aware of it.

As for me visiting a Church of Christ, I am very familiar with some of their doctrine. My main reason for even wanting to go was to get away from the deception, theatrics and drama of the charasmatic church. As you and others know, some of us are sick of it. I do realize that the CoC has some major issues. Only God knows if I can stick it out for whatever reason. The main reason: just looking for Bible and hopefully for those who will fellowship around the Word with me.

I don’t expect I will be visiting any time soon. Some health issues need to get resolved, or at the least — better, before I can even go. However, by then, I hope to have read all your research and not go in completely ignorant.

I’ve gone and looked at some of your writings on the CoC and like I said, it is priceless! I hope you do not mind but I probably will be linking up to you at some point. Thanks for the concern and the support, brother!

    Blessings to you!

God Bless You and the readers/seekers/viewers of this site. I try to keep an open mind and a repentent heart. There is something that has come up and I don’t think it will be the end of it. I don’t really have a question or a comment, but a request. The birther issue has not gone away even as Obama released his long form birth certificate. I was doing a search on Obama’s parents and the subject evolved into his birth certificate. I have seen video and websites on the subject that Obama is NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT DUE TO HE NOT BEING A “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN” according to the US Constitution, natural born meaning that both parents have to be US citizens. Impeachment proceedings or social protests on either side will persist – and who will the Supreme Court side with if it has it’s day in court? Please look into it. Thank you and God Bless You. Jason.
On another note, I also was shocked to see footage of Oprah not believing in Jesus and thinking that there are many ways to heaven when I searched “Oprah; Obama; Antichrist.”

Now i think found a pastor preaching But he got invite to hear Henry Wright and we are going to watch a cd call self pity by Henry Wright

I would like to get information on him so goto pastor

I have goggle i have found not to munch on him i heard he involved in the healing room is part of the dominion and new apostle reformation?

Can any one help me or know in web site?

Danny, anytime I am not sure about aa teaching or somebody, I search with the word of the one I am interested in along with the word “false.” Example — Henry Wright false. This pretty much gets right to the point and I do not have to spend hours upon hours researching IF I am able to find that someone else has. Of which I am always thankful.

Not knowing much about Wright, I did a search and this is one link I found. Maybe it can shed some light for you.

Be very careful of being under his teachings. Everybody to day has “new” revelations.” “New and fresh” teachings. If something does not line up with the Word of God, then it is false. It does not matter if the whole church is following it or/and sitting under it. You are to test all things.

I don’t have a question but I want to thank you for putting this site up, there are lots of us out here who are sick of the lying teachers and false prophets that have “infested” not infiltrated the church. I use the word “infested” because false teachers are like an infestation that brings harm and not health, in this they harm us spiritually and add nothing to contribute to our spiritual health because the preach lies from the devil and use and abuse the Word of God for their own selfish arrogant gain.

I read an article the other day about Rick Joyner’s false and dangerous teachings.

Rick Joyner says in his book “There Were Two Trees In The Garden”, page 54,

“Let us understand, the Lord wants us to ascend to heaven; He wants us to sit on the mount of the assembly; He wants us to be raised above the clouds, and He wants us to be like Him”.

What a frightening thing to teach Christians, Joyner teaches his followers the very thing that got Lucifer thown out of heaven!!! He teaches Christians the very pride that got Lucifer sentenced to Hell for eternity!!!

The Prophet Isaiah in chapter 14 verses 12-15 says this:

How art thou fallen from heaven O Lucifer, son of the morning, how art thou cut down to the ground….

For thou hast said in thine heart I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds: I will be like the Most High.
Then the Prophet Isaiah goes on further to say; YET THOU SHALT BE BROUGHT TO HELL, TO THE SIDES OF THE PIT.

How incredibly daring to teach men to follow in Lucifer’s footsteps!!! This very thing got Lucifer a perfect Arch-Angel thrown out of heaven so now Joyner teaches men to attempt the very same sin?
If a perfect Arch Angel did not get away with his attempt to ascend into heaven what makes Joyner think fallen and depraved men will be successful?

If any of you follow Joyner, I plead with you to repent, to fall on your face and ask the Almighty to forgive you for following a liar who is also a false teacher and false prophet.

Lucifer wanted to be like the Most High, he will spend eternity in Hell because of it, and then it is the first thing he offered Eve in the Garden!
When will men learn they will never be like the Most High, we are dust created in His image and owe allegiance to Him because He is God Almighty and we are not even a speck of dust compared to Him.
Burn Joyner’s books if they are a part of your library, the same spirit that inspired the Satanic Bible is responsible for Joyner’s doctrines; ie; doctrines of demons.

Hi Ariel, I have a friend who is into this IHOP stuff and is an adamant follower of Rick Joyner, cindy Jacobs, Todd Bentley, Chuck Pierce and a host of others related to these so called “preachers”. She kept sendiing me stuff to read, some of it came from “Morningstar Ministries..aka Rick Joyner, she gave me cindy Jacobs books to read, she sent me stuff from Chuck Pierce, and after awhile I got tired of what seemed like her way to convince me to also follow these men.
I confronted her about Pierce who’s teachings are more like the Kaballah, and about a thing she practices like “third heaven visits” and told her it was wrong to do what amounts to “astral travel”, and that Rick joyner is a false prophet and teacher. She now refuses to speak to me, and I am disappointed in her reaction to being told these things are wrong.
How does one get out of IHOP?
I don’t know what to do now, I can’t phone her because I’m not even sure if she would just hang up. We have known each other for nearly 35 years.
How did you get out? How do we help others to get out?
    In Christ, Donna

    • redeemedhippiesplace
      Jul 27, 2011 @ 13:53:42

donna, you are correct about Chuck Pierce’s teachings. They are more like Kaballah. I too have told others these third heaven “visits” (that is IF they even do it) are more in tune to astral projection than anything else. I have had a friend or two no longer speak to me because i pointed out the truth to them. so do not feel alone. When I dared to question these “heaven visitations” three years ago, I thought my friend would SEE and come to the truth. How naive I was. Instead I was treated as if I was THE rebellious one — why, I was not following the “learned and holy” men of God. How could i question them?! That was the attitude I got. I don’t know how to help others get out of this stuff. When they do not listen to us and have nothing to do with us, all that is left is prayer. We ask God to show them the truth. And hard as it is, have to trust that He can and will do it. Pray they have a heart for truth and nothing but the truth and sometimes… sometimes… I ask God if they are gonna be so stupid to mess in the occult, then allow something to come that will scare the pants off of them. Perhaps that is not the correct way to pray, I don’t know. But if I had a child (who was old enough to know better — say 13 years old) kept sticking his hand on the stove after I warned him over and over, I’m afraid at some point I would stop running to the stove and rescuing him and let him feel the heat for once. But I’m not a mother, so what do I know?

After doing a web search last night with some key words, I found your article concerning Evangel and the man who is awaiting sentencing for bilking people out of a ton of money after fleecing people at the Billtown Road location.

I used to go to school there as well as church when I was younger at Evangel and have seen the church become very different to what it once was. Does anyone know if Evangel is still affliliated with the Assemblies of God?

Over the years, I have seen Evangel in the news more and more but the coverage is very limited. I remember a few years back, someone took a great sum of money and all the reporter was told was, “a brother has fallen and we handled it internally.” That’s it. End of story.

Pastor Rodgers was called into court during sentencing for Mel Ignatow (a man who brutally killed his girlfriend and got away with it because evidence was only later found after a not guilty verdict was rendered. Ignatow could not be retried and then went to Evangel to attend church and work at the Lord’s Kitchen.). Ignatow’s later sentencing was for perjury. Not much was ever said in the media about this situation. I understand all need love and forgiveness but Pastor Rodgers seemed to take it quite hard when Ignatow died saying things on his television program like, “it was so awful and a horrible way to die.” Ignatow was found in his apartment after falling and cutting his head on a glass coffee table. Yes, it was horrible but also ironic considering that it was upon a coffee table that Ignatow tortoured the girlfriend he killed. Rodgers was almost in tears over this man’s death, but does no one seem to think it odd? Does anyone else besides me feel it is kind of a slap in the face to the victim’s family? I mean, even the quote about the man who stole all the money is odd, “not thinking he ever really intended to steal the money?!?”

Then there was the lawsuit that was brought after a bunch of kids and a few adults got sick from a bus that was found to have at least ten safety violations. What ever happened with the lawsuit?

Was any lawsuit brought after a child fell into the lake and drowned on church property? A quick blip on the news for a few seconds and then the story was gone.

There are times when candiates come to the church and give essentially campaign speeches during special events but no one really seems to blink an eye. I’ve seen coverage about other churches that do this in relation to keeping their tax exempt status but Evangel? It’s off the radar.

So what all is really going on at Evangel?

I had a very similar thing happen to me. I have a friend I have known for forty years. I tried to warn him about Rick Joyner and the like and I’ve heard nothing from him since. Sometimes people get so deep into deception that they are unable or unwilling to rationally discuss things. I believe you are right that in such cases prayer may be the only hope.

Isn’t it great to be able to run to him when the stench of deceit and lies start to stink up your life? He is a sweet smelling aroma to His Father. Sep 07, 2011 @ 14:05:52

Jean-Pierre, well, I’ve not read the book. However, I have seen videos of the parents and of the boy describing his experience. I saw a few things that caused a red flag to go up. One was his description of Jesus using things he (Tod) knew or liked to “calm” him. It appears to me, if one was in the presence of Jesus, they would have total peace. Second, it appears that the Jesus who calmed the storms and could walk on water, did not have the power to simply say, “Peace.” Tod says he “was sitting by the Holy Spirit.” How can this be if the Father, Son and the Holy spirit are one? I know it is a mystery and I do not claim to know everything, but this does not set right with me.

Tod says he saw his “sister” because she told him he was his sister. She hugged him and kept hugging him. He said he did not like it. Really? I would think in heaven one would be delirous to get all the hugs they can get. His “sister” knew him right off the bat. However, hiis “great Grandfather” came up to him and asked, “Are you so-n-so son?” Seems to me if the “sister” knew who he was, the the “grandfather” would know also.

His parents say Tod never knew he had a sister. Well, the mind is a complex and amazing thing. Able to hold things subconsciously that we never knew we held. This little boy, even at the age of two, at some point had to have heard of his mother’s miscarriage. So, though they say they “never told him about it,” his brain could still pick up the information and retain it.

All, in all, Jean-Pierre, I believe the book to be one of many in this day to point people away from the simplicity of Christ. Away from the Word of God, trustung in the things said by men, other than God’s Word.

Remember, Satan’s ministers come as an angel of light. If one wants to know what heaven is all about, then I suggest we read the Word of God. Also, I have concerns about the title of the book. They chose to use, “Heaven is FOR real.” Almost a word for word account of Choo Thomas “Heaven is SO real.” What is the big deal about this? Well, if one is wanting to market their book quickly, then they will find a way to use a spin off of another best seller.

The Burpos may be completely sincere, I do not know. However, I believe their book is false. Just like i believe all the other books and experiences I have read over the years.

      Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response! Yes i agree with you that there is a more simplicity of Christ as this little boys states in his book for instincts him sitting by the Holy Spirit and power shooting down (visible to him only) from heaven on his dad and the fact that his sister hugging him and not liking it. To be honest i did believe it or just wanted to but what bothers me most is that the fact it all sounds just a bit earthly from a human point of view of one’s imagination i rather stick to the Word of God period.

Everytime i hear about such books related to near death experience i get reminded in the Word of God that there is a scripture that says of Paul “I knew a man whether in the body or out of the body i do not know, God knoweth that this man was caught up in the 3rd Heaven and the things he learned and saw is not lawfull for man to utterr”

Why then do people still persist that these books or near-death testimonies for that matter describing heaven are true when the Word of God syas it is NOT lawfull for a man to utter?? Just a thought

There is another book called “The boy who came back from heaven” by Alex Malarkey that i got awhile ago and want to throw it away and asking God to forgive me for having ithcy ears!

Jean-Pierre, you have discerned wisely using the Word of God as your plumbline. Yes, if Paul could not even utter the things he saw, then how can so many who claim to see things, do so when Paul could not or would not? don’t be so hard on yourself about the “itching ears” thing. We’ve all been there and done it in one way or the other. You did what was right — you searched a matter out. You are a Berean. I have no doubt that God is going to lead you in his truth and to His truth.

Jean-Pierre. I appreciate the invite. However, I need for my focus to be on other things right now. I have focused on all that is bad for three years now, it is time for me to move on.

You seem to be a young man who is contending for the truth. That is a very good thing. Let me encourage you: Do not become overly focused on all that is wrong. God has put His truth in you. You are meant to be a light in leading others to Jesus. One of my greatest mistakes the past three years in exposing falsness, has been becoming overcome by it. Yes, we are told to search matters out and we better. However, it is not just about leading others away from liars and wolves. It is about leading them to Jesus. Be a light, Jean-Pierre, be a true light.

Man will let you down. And you too, will let others down, though you may never mean to. BUT GOD>>>God will NEVER let down. Let Him be your focus on all that you do.

I wish you the very best in whatever God calls you to do.

My husband and I were at a local store to shop they were giving out the CD’s of Choo Thomas testimony. We live in the same town as she does. We listened to the CD and to our horror and anger, our words cannot be fully conveyed as to how deeply it affected us personally. We as Christians are outraged to know that she is allowed to share these outrageous, demented, delusions, possibly hallucinations, twisted, perverted blasphemous endless stories, with her many encounters with her Jesus. Those who do not know the word of God can innocently be drawn into her deception. As far as other ministers and churches who allow this demonic woman to teach these vile encounters to demean the righteousness, honor and glory of Jesus Christ. She has ex-halted herself equal with Jesus and in some of her words from her book she even has made herself above Jesus. Many of her words (she has stated)what Jesus does to her is more sensual than spiritual. Why would Jesus spend this much time with just her? she talks as if she had a relationship with Christ (the kind that is not godly or holy). All of this talk about going back and forth to the beach and Jesus visiting her and her dancing and singing before the Lord just those two alone. This is utterly and totally ridiculous and crazy!! And anybody with a half of a brain (saved) or (not) if they really take time to listen to this woman (carefully) and stop being caught up with trying to seek signs and wonders but (listen) to this (demon) talking they will see how she has contradicted herself several times. Those preachers who allow her to share this story and the Christian book stores who allows this book to be sold they are only interested in making money for their personal gain and not for the sake of the lost souls. Strang magazine/ Creation House who published her book. They will answer to the REAL JESUS IF THEY DO NOT REPENT

I really love this site thank God for using you to take a stand for the truth and righteousness. Your bold stand for Christ is a treasure in itself you do not back down or cower to those who do not like when you expose the lies of the devil and those false teachers etc. I have been reading all day long these blogs pro and con each time I read I gain more strength by the grace of God to know that there are still those few who will stand for Christ among such attacks. Who ever you are Redeemed Hippie we are proud of your stand for Christ. The bible said for us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might..Keep up the excellent work. Now on the other hand I would like if I may introduce to you people of God who do love the lord with all of their hearts who has written a book about his wife’s life story of abuse to triumph. How the Lord has delivered her from the hand of the enemy (her mother and family) of abuse what the devil meant for evil to destroy her life God used for good and for His glory. They wrote a book titled “Mama Please Love Me(just give me a hug) you can read the first 6 chapters. I brought this book as many others have too! I have met these authors personally they have the love of Christ for the lost, the hurting, the abused and the rejected people they are seeking a producer to make a movie about her life story to reach people worldwide God still heals the brokenhearted and He sets the captive’s free. I hope you will receive this email as something positive showing the love of God and His truth. Surely there is more than enough lies and deceptions through CT book. If you want to know more about the authors feel free to write and if you want I can send to you their emails. God bless you and thank you for allowing me to post on your site.

I agree with you and your opinion on Todd Bentley and Choo Thomas. But In all sincerely, I’m curious as to why you have problems with Impending Doom. I don’t ask out of an attempt to defend them, but over the past couple of years I’ve become good friends with the guys in the band, and had had numerous prayer times with all of them. Aug 20, 2012 @ 08:41:07

Hi, I recently found this blog accidently, but I am glad I did. I am telling my family about some of the things I have learned here, so we can seek God together on the truth of His word. i recently came into the full-Gospel movement, from a different denomination, so I was not( and still am unsure) of what is really of God and was isn’t, but I want the truth in my life, praise God! Here is my question though, has anyone on this site heard of the site And if so, what do you think? I read about Choo Thomas there, and when I got here I started questioning more of what I read there, like if the testimonies are credible or not. I know on this blog I read a post about tithing not being for today, yet on spiritlessons there are testimonies of christians being in hell for not tithing or giving offerings. I also read that christians were in hell for not properly keeping the Lord’s Day holy, meaning buying things or going out to do secular things. I just wanted to know if anyone could share some wisdom with me. Thank you and God bless!!

    • redeemedhippiesplace
      Oct 24, 2012 @ 12:56:17

Jennifer, I apologise for taking so long to answer your question. I was not familiar with spiritlessons, so I went and looked around. I will give you my opinion: I believe it is a false website that uses fear to indoctinate and manipulate it’s audience. I personally do not like videos that has mind numbing music playing in the back ground. This stuff of everybody has a story on visiting hell or heaven, is really getting old to me. Years ago, I read everything I could on these things, believing everybody was speaking the truth. I no longer believe that and I will not come under these snake oil sellsman. The Word of God is our plumbline which we use to measure what is truth or not. PLEASE continue to test EVERYTHING and do not swallow everything that comes along your way. The Bible IS the final authority on everything and I do not see in the Bible where people go to hell for the things this site claims. BUT, I do see in the Bible where on a day many will say, “Lord have me not … in your name?” And Jesus will tell them, “Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. I never knew you.” He is talking to those who SAY they are doing something is HIS name, when in fact they are building their own little kingdom right here and now on this earth, manipulating thousands by becoming rich off the merchandise they sell. It will burn. But, you, you continue to follow Jesus and Jesus alone.

Jennifer, look at this! This is the heading on their website>>> “Tell My people that My coming is near, I come for My holy people, tell My people that only the saints, that only the saints will see Me.” Did you catch that, Jennifer? It is a lie. An out right lie. The Bible says EVERY eye will see Him when He comes back. So why mess around in such a place?

Thank you for being my answer to prayer today. I couldn’t stop reading Heaven is so Real last night, but I started feeling confused and uncomfortable. Hi Redeemedhippiesplace

thank you for your site. I have found it very beneficial. I especially enjoyed “The Occultic Mindset of Spiritual Warfare” by Keith @ signofjonah wordpress. I could relate to his experience very much as I too am just coming out of a season where I now realise I have been “over demonising” everything – just as described in the opening passage of his article.

I have also been seduced by the whole dreams and vision teachings of JPJ but am coming through the other side. I have also been watching Derek Prince videos. Do you think his teachings genuine?

I was just wondering how much of our walk should be about deliverance, prophecy and dreams without it going completely over the top..?

I would very much like to read more of Keith’s WordPress but it is inaccessible.

  43. redeemedhippiesplace
    Oct 04, 2012 @ 20:18:39

Isabella, I’m afraid I’m not all that familiar with Derek Prince. What little I know about him is, he as one of five leaders in the shepherding movement from the 1970’s. Not a good thing. May I suggest you can do a search by googling his name with the words “false teacher” and you may find more that way.

I do not know who JPJ is.

“Demonising” over everything is not good. I think it is very easy to go over the top if all we focus on is deliverance, prophecy and dreams. We can put dreams ahead and above God sometime, finding more importance in them than by seeing what the Word of God says. This is not good.

The same with prophecy. If we put more importance on what people tell us by some kind of “prophetic gift,” then we are not seeking God, are we? But becoming dependent upon others to be a type of Moses for us, when God has given us His Son who is THE Mediator.

As far as deliverance, be very careful who you follow here. If all your time and energies are spent learning how to “fight Satan,” through books and DVD’s of people, then you really are not seeking God on your own to allow Him to speak to you. Not to say, the dangers involved by following most of those now who are in what they call a “deliverance” ministry.

Yes, Jesus wants us free. The closer we get to Him and the less dependent upon others for some kind of “spiritual fix,” the freer we get. I hope this answers some of your concerns.

A very good day to you. I came across this site accidently whilst looking up Choo Thomas. I read her book and I was completely gobsmacked as I took it as gospel truth. I loaned it out and have never received it back. In the interim I tried to get an answer from folk as to what they thought and no one could actually give me a straight amswer one way or another. Im soooo happy to have read your opinion on the book! I was scared witless I tell you but am so disappointed I could have been so easily mislead. One thing I would like to ask is how do you know for sure that she is deceiving people? Oh and one more thing I would like to add that threw me off in her book was when she spoke about Jesus visiting her in a red or special robe for His birthday i.e Christmas. I thought hmmmm….no one knows His real birth date as well as the bible does not instruct us to celebrate it. I can tell you that Im still nervous to speak bad about her as that is the gist I also got from her book. I await in great anticipation your reply. Many thanks!!

      Nov 12, 2012 @ 17:48:49

Colette, You ask how do I know for sure if she is deceiving people. Isn’t it obvious to you? You said yourself you were “gobsmacked,” so why ask me such a question? There is no need for you to feel “nervous” about speaking out against her teachings. If you allow fear to get in the way of speaking the truth, then you have allowed yourself to come under a type of witchcraft, one in which manipilation is used to silence you. There is no need to “fear” the likes of Choo Thomas. She is a liar. Whether her “visons” are real or not, are beside the point. The “Jesus” she teaches, is NOT the Jesus I follow. Why on earth would I want to? It is a demon, a lying spirit she follows.

I received your web-site from a friend & I have questions but I don’t see a place to leave my question. So here are my questions do you worship on Sunday? What is your belief on Christmas & it being the time of Jesus birth? What is your take on the meaning of Easter? How do you feel about people wearing crosses? Thank you for your time.

    • redeemedhippiesplace
      Mar 20, 2013 @ 12:09:14

Sue, by “worship” do you mean if I attend church? No.I worship during the week at any time. It does not mean I always sing or shout, sometimes it is me being still and knowing He is God. Quiet reflection and gratitude of who God is and what He is doing in my life and for others. Most of the time in my time of worship, I am thinking of how perfect, how holy, how merciful, how true His judgments are. I do not believe Christmas day is the actual day Jesus was born. I believe the holidays of Christmas and Easter were ripped off from the Pagans. It was the Roman Catholic church that ingrained the practices of Pagans and incorporated it into their brand of “christianity.” If people want to wear a cross, it is no big thing to me. However, if Jesus was murdered by a gun, would one wear a little gold gun around around their neck? Anyone and everyone can wear a cross now days. It means nothing, really. None of these things are anything that would cause me to not to fellowhip with anyone. I hope this answers your questions.

i agree with you about the cross. I do not wear a cross, I used to ask my sister’s..would they sing At the gun, at the gun where I first saw the light…It seemed many worshiped the cross. It is what happened at the cross and not the cross itself. Many wear a cross showing Him on the cross. I do not tell others not to wear a cross, they must decide for themselves. I have never heard anyone else say anything like that about the cross. Everyone thought me crazy when I said such things. Reading your saying the same things I said is the first time I have ever heard anyone express the same as I. Thank you.

I don’t go to a church either because I too can talk to God & Jesus without some man telling what & how I am suppose to believe. Thank for anwering my questions so fast I apprecate it. Thanks again. What do you think about this RH?
Yesterday night I was talking to Lord and I asked him to keep demons away from me so I can sleep quietly at least one night.I felt no demons around me,but I was aware that I was dreaming and suddenly I heard a calm voice talking to me.Somehow my intuition felt good about that voice. It was saying hard times are coming to his people, and that his people preach good thing but they need to be louder, that he’s saying that to me because not many people will listen and the voice asked “who will warn them?”Then it ended with “I am Lord thy God”.
I woke up immediately after that, and I wanted to write every word down but i was so tired i fell back asleep. When i woke up in morning I asked “Lord,i wish i knew the whole point of that message” then my mouth started to speak: Take the sword and follow me. I was unaware I said it first few times, but after some time I heard myself.I was told devil like to flatter to person’s ego,but this message wasn’t flattering at all.
    What do you think?

ontheway, I think it very well could be a dream from the Lord. Sometiems we have been told so much goofy stuff, being manipulated into believing something that lifts up man, that we automatically reject something God may be trying to tell us thinking it is from the devil. Even though the devil likes to flatter, there are still many other ways he can trick us without flattery. But it sounds like to me you could have had a dream from the Lord. Hard times ARE coming. It appears that God is wanting you to be more vocal about your beliefs to those around you or anywhere. Just be still, and listen for Him. Be led in peace. Do nothing unless it is led in peace.

    From Genesis, the PD Bible:
“And Aida said, ‘This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of me. Therefore shall a woman leave her mother, and shall cleave unto her wife: and they shall be one flesh.’ And they were both naked, the woman and her wife, and were not ashamed.”

Hi ive been reading your site for a while off and on. I actually just read your testimony tonight. I definately understood it. I have the same problems. I am definately possessed and dont have anyone. I dont really understand I have been ever since early childhood at least ever since I can remember even though I didnt realize it then. Actually I think I did know, I just didnt want to know. I have always had freak accidents, horrifying things since early childhood. My family was deeply involved in the occult. I didnt not know this until much later in life. I only tell you this because obviously I have no help from family.
I have been to numerous churches and they just tell me the sinners prayer. And honestly I cant find any by me that I dont feel are wrong themselves. They are all to somewhat involved with these movements. I dont even know what the gospel is, everyone says its something different, I pass out when reading the bible. Icant hear it.
Iknow you dont know me, but could you pray for me to be saved or anything. Icant believe no one at the churches will even pray for me, they just say If you believe say the sinners pray youre saved nothing can touch you. Or we have to get to the root of the sin that allowed this in. I dont know what I did I was under 2 and thats what I can remember. (Not that I havent sinned, and know it was wrong, Idont dont know what “allowed this in”) Icant control my thoughts, I understand what you said about the hate its so random at people Idont even know and its so consuming. Iget paralyzed in my sleep sometime and Iknow if Idie today Iknow where Im going.

      Nov 18, 2013 @ 16:20:09

Tracy, I will address your issue as best as I can. You say you don’t know what the Gospel is. It is the Word of God. Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as the perfect sacrifice for your sin and accepted Him as your Savior? As your Lord? Have you turned from doing things your way, counted the cost and picked up your cross to follow Him? Have you been born-again? Do you love His truth? If you have then you are a child of God. It is a lie to “just say the sinner’s prayer and nothing will touch you.” What on earth kind of church have you been visiting? You say you pass out when reading the Bible. I don’t know what to make of that, whether you are telling me the truth or not. But for the sake of an answer, I will tell you then listen to it by either purchasing some CD or go online and listen. What movements are you talking about? Deliverance teachings where every little thing has a root and we have to spend months and months trying to find the roots to every little thing? It is the TRUTH that sets free, Tracy. Do you really want to be free? Remember, I don’t know you and am not sure where you are coming from. You say you are possessed. You ask me to pray so I will: Lord Jesus, I ask you to reveal the truth to Tracy. I ask that you remove the blinders off her eyes and help her to see clearly the things of God. Where there is darkness, bring forth your light. I ask that she be completely honest with You, others and herself. Make it clear to her what it means to be born-again. Lord, help her to walk away from all that brings confusion. God, You are not the author of confusion. so help her to flee those things that would bring her into bondage. Lord you know her heart. I do not. So it is You who sees all and knows all concerning Tracy. Meet her where she is. Help her to be willing and may she receive with meekness the implanted Word which is able to save her soul.

ontheway, I think you may know the answer to your own questions. However, I will address it to the
best of my ability. The Word of God tells us:

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?
And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
      2 Corinthains 6:14-15

This would go not only for Muslims, but for all unbelievers. As Christians we believe in being born again by the Spirit of
God through faith by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are redeemed by the blood of the perfect Sacrifice.
What “fellowship” is there in those who do not believe this?
The kind of love you seek as a Christian woman should be agape love. That is God love and there is no way to possess it
unless it is God Himself through His Spirit. His Spirit is also one of Truth.

There is this also: Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? — Amos 3:3 –

Knowing these things, why even consider marriage to one who does not have the same beliefs?
Many women make the mistake of thinking, “But when I marry him, he will change.”
One example is if a man does not pick up after himself, marriage may not
change that. How much more with religious/spiritual beliefs?
Compromise would have to be at some point and do you really want to be the one compromising
all that you believe in the name of a “love” that may only be “agape” love on your part?

You’ve been coming to this blog long enough to hopefully know that I do not believe that we Christians
serve the same God as Islam. Surely, you know it too?

I understand and thank you for your response.I would like to look for agape love only but I am young and wanting someone as a partner also. I will take time to not rush and maybe I meet some christian guy who would like me.
Thank you and have a blessed day

ontheway, I wish I could tell you there is someone out there for you, but I don’t know. God knows. Don’t rush into anything. Let God lead you. Make Him your Husband for now. In the sense that His companionship would be more than enough. Remember, God wants only the best for you when it comes to a mate. He will not send anyone along who will make your compromise your love for Him or the Truth. Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.

I was just wondering what your name is. It seems that you are hiding behind
    anonymity. Heidi Monroe-Terrance

Heidi, first off I am not “hiding” as you call it. And even if I wanted to, that would be none of your business. There are lots of blogs out there that do not take on a personal name. In my case, I had been a on a blog a few years ago before I started this blog. I had never done that before and saw different nick-names people were using, so I chose “redeemed hippie.” After coming off that blog, I wanted to be able to stay in touch with some of those who I had met through that blog. The only way I knew how, was to keep my moniker in hopes we would find each other. So I opened up a blog called “Redeemed Hippies Place” in hopes that we would find each other. It worked, and as the result, I have made a couple of very good life long friends and we stay in touch. Secondly, to put my name on something, in my opinion, seemed kind of proud. Not to say, I find my name: Brenda Osborn, just plain boring. I hope that answers your question.

Just found your site! Thanks for exposing the wolves! You should do an article to expose the best selling book called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. So many are being deceived by this book.

What’s wrong with the “Jesus Calling” book? I have that book and need to know what to watch out for…

Sharon, I don’t yet know. I’ve not done a review of the book. So, I can’t say one way or the other. But you probably can do your own searches and find out.

Hi Redeemed, I’ve been coming to your site since the Lakeland fiasco. I am still the odd man out with my crying out to my church about the false prophets, movements, etc. Now my church is involved heavily with the Burn 24/7 worship movement and I cannot attend any worship services even though I was at once the worship leader there. I wrote my AOG headquarters for their stand on the burn movement and IHOP but their response was “go to such and such” which showed no stand whatsoever on the current movement. Having been involved with worship I have been connected with various ministries and ministers I can no longer minister with because of the path they are all going. I want to show several new worship leaders and friends who love to worship God, the spirit that is really behind the 24/7 Burn movement. Even their kids are being sent on Burn Bus tours to minister to America. It is associated with the IHOP.

Hi Katie, the best thing you can do is worship at home with your family.

I’ve been worshipping at home with my wife and 4 children since 2006!

It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

In the past I have followed Ministries like Kenneth Copeland, Todd Bentley, Benny Hinn e.t.c

It’s apparent more than ever before that these Ministries, and so many mega Churches today have fallen away from a living faith in Christ!

Worship the Lord Jesus Christ directly.

Prayfully study His Word for yourself.

And practice the righteousness of God daily.

      God bless.

Listen, you are giving much too much honor to the enemy. Of course the music and artists are hanging out with the enemy. It is of the world so what do you expect???? They want to be the grossest and shock the most because there is so much competition. That goes without saying and should be easily recognized by believers. Don’t give them so much free publicity. AND, Obama is not a communist. His offense is that he is a democrat and black. I guess you would have preferred to have a Mormon in the white house. Do you know what they believe? Do you know how crazy and un Christian their beliefs are??? Obama is smart and normal. Why can’t people be honest with themselves and others and just say “I’m mad because my candidate didn’t win”. Smearing him with lies and innuendos is un Christian. Planting that filth in people’s mind under the guise of religion and discernment is wrong. You patriotic? Enough to honor our voting system that outshines any other system in the world. AC

AC, I went against my better judgement to just to ahead and ignore your comment and trash it. There are many who will agree with me when I bluntly say, obviously, you are an idiot. They have the right to see the stupid people who vote in other stupid people. If anyone does not like my bluntness, they can move on. As this blog is NOT about YOUR freedom to express yourself, it is NOT a Democracy of “fairness.” I do not play well with Communists, Communists lovers or those who have their head so far up their butts, they refuse to see the truth. YOUR president IS a Communist, he is a Marxist, his mentors were/are Communists. For you not to see this after 6 years, tells me you only see skin color, which therefore makes you a racist. In answer to your question, YES, I would have rather seen a Morman in the White House. At least Romney would not have kissed the butts of our enemies and flipped off our friends. You call yourself “Christian” and yet, have the audacity to come here and attack me for telling the truth. In case, you have not noticed, Mormans do not want to chop our heads off. But, that does not matter to people like you, because all YOU see is skin color. Get over it. Your “messiah” you have chosen sucks and has made America a stench in the nostrils of the nations. Do not bother to come back, as I am tired of trying to teach you people anything. You got what you wanted. Deal with it, but don’t be coming here spouting your trash. I will not have it. Good-bye.
